If there was
one sport she loved it was swimming, and she was good at it.  She gave the guys
a time of it, but in the end there was three of them and they were super fast
shapeshifters.  They used that to their advantage herding her one way and then
the other until she found herself caught wriggling like a fish in Jacob’s
arms.

“Ha,” he
said in a ridiculous vampire accent.  “Now you are mine to toy with.”

She burst
out laughing, and he caught it against his mouth when he kissed her.  Then she
was kissing him back and all laughter was forgotten.  He shifted her so that he
had her hips pulling her high up, then down so she was enveloping his rigid
cock, and she gasped against his mouth when he speared her.

“Jacob,” she
said it on a whimper.  He shuddered at the sound of his name on her lips.  He
began walking towards the beach and she wrapped her legs around his waist to
hold him inside her.  When he was out of the water he fell to the sand with her
under him, shuttling in and out of her needy pussy until she cried out.  The clenching
of her cunt walls milked him to an orgasm.  They lay there for a moment
breathing hard before Jacob was tumbled off her and Linc took his place.

Linc entered
her in one thrust, Jacob’s seed lubricating her nicely.  He rolled so that she
was on top of him with her knees on either side of his hips.  Stretched open as
she was she felt every pulse of him deep inside her.

They must
have been planning this because someone had grabbed a tube of lube from the
house.  Griffin was presently using it to coat his cock, his eyes heated and on
her.  He went to his knees behind her his hands covering her breasts and making
her grown and arch into his hands.  He played with them for a minute pressing
his lubed cock against her back.  Then Linc pulled her down with a groan,
kissing her wildly with lip and tongue.  He tasted like the sea and Linc, a
little wild.

She felt
Griffin preparing her back entrance but it was just another sensation until he
was pressing the head of his cock there.  She stopped kissing Linc long enough
to breath out a gasp at the pressure.

“Push out.”
She did and he came in filling her up until between the two of them she thought
she’d break apart.  But then they were moving in tandem.  One would push in
while the other pulled out and the build-up of pressure was incredible.
Eventually Griffin was thrusting so hard and fast Linc could no longer move,
just lay there while Griffin drove their pleasure on.  She came first then when
she clamped down on them the guys followed until they were all howling out
their releases.

Griffin
carried her back to the deck standing with her under the outdoor shower while
the sand and sex was washed away.  Then they got in the hot tub while the
others showered before joining them.

She wrapped
her arms around Griffin’s neck and nuzzled close.  “What time is it?”  She
asked sleepily.

“About seven
probably,” Jacob said, leaning back with his head against the rim and his eyes
closed.  “We need to get to the hotel soon.  Big wedding today and everyone is
going to be going ape shit.”

Becca froze
sitting up.  “Crap,” she said.  Losing her afterglow.  “I need to get over
there.  I’m supposed to be a bridesmaid.  My dress!  I never took it out of my
luggage.  It’s probably wrinkled all to heck.  Maggie’s going to kill me.”

“Relax,”
Griffin said, holding onto her when she would have bolted.  “Jacob had your
dress steamed, its hanging in the closet.  As soon as you’re ready, Linc is
going to escort you to the spa and they’ll do your nails and hair.  Your friend
isn’t expecting you until nine am for the rehearsal breakfast.  So you have
plenty of time.  I’ll bring the dress with me and hang it in the changing room
with the rest of them.”

She knew she
was sitting there with her mouth hanging open but it had been so long since
someone other than herself took care of her problems.  It felt GOOD.  She
lunged at him and kissed every inch of his surprised face.  “You Mr.” She
smacked a good one on his lips.  “Are so getting lucky later.”

She jumped
out of the hot tub before he could stop her and headed for the bath upstairs
where she could get dressed.

“What about
me?”  Jacob called.  “I brought the dress.”  She laughed blowing him a kiss and
streaking naked from the room.  “I’ll be ready to go in ten minutes Linc.”

“I’ll be
ready in twenty.” he called back pointedly, making her laugh again.

Chapter 7

After being
pampered at the spa for an hour, Becca was ready to face the bride and maybe
even the wedding party.  In fact, for the first time that she could remember
she felt sexy and a little bit dangerous.  She had never in her whole life been
so comfortable with her body.  Even walking had a whole new feel to it.  From
the way people reacted when she walked through the hotel lobby on her way to
the restaurant, she was not the only one feeling it.

Men
especially seemed to follow her with their eyes.  She had mixed feelings about
that.  She wanted
her
men to be the ones looking at her, at the same
time she felt empowered by the attention, though she was careful to not make
eye contact with anyone.  Linc had warned her on the way over to keep in mind
that none of them were at all comfortable having her out on her own but she had
argues she could go the ten feet from the hotel spa to the hotel restaurant
without assistance.  He had reluctantly agreed.

The
restaurant was just as impressive as the rest of the place had been, and just
as decadent.  The breakfast was on the terrace about a foot away from sandy
beaches.  And to think Linc had said this was the least opulent of the hotels
three restaurants.  More a daytime bistro.  Most of their party had already
arrived.  Becca saw the bride with a breath of relief; at least she would know
someone.

Margaret
smiled and waved, looking as lovely and put together as ever in her pale pink
skirt and white sleeveless blouse.  Her naturally blond hair was back in a
chignon and her pearls were tasteful.  It made Becca smile to remember her at
USC.  She was the only person Becca had ever met who could wear pearls with her
jeans and not seem pretentious.  The delicate lady of the manor look suited
her.  She stood when Becca was close enough and kissed each of her cheeks.

“You look
amazing.”  They both said it at the same time and had to laugh.

“I’m sorry I
couldn’t greet you at the airport,” Margaret said squeezing the Becca’s hands.
“I was shanghaied to the spa.”

“I’m the one
who’s sorry.  I missed your bachelorette party.”

Maggie
looked around to make sure no one was close enough to hear.  “Yes.  Well,
between you and me I wish I had missed it myself.”

Becca
laughed.  “I was having a hard time picturing you with strippers and blow up
penuses.”

“That was a
bit of a shock.  I think Rachelle has watched too much "Sex In The City.”
My mother may never recover.”  She looked around and pulled Becca around the
table.  There was a tinkle of silver on crystal as Rachelle called everyone to
the table.  “I suppose we should find our seats.  I’ll introduce you to
everyone after the speeches.”

But when
Becca found her name on a place setting, it was far at the end of the table
away from the wedding party and between two obscure relations.  Introductions
would have to be shouted unless they waited until after breakfast.  Which is
what ended up happening when Maggie looked up and realized Becca was not
sitting with the rest of the bridal party.

Becca waved
her on and and smiled to show she was fine with it.  “Go, we’ll catch up after.”
The breakfast was a long affair.  The two people Becca was sitting between were
great aunts on the groom’s side and had absolutely nothing to say besides to
answer any questions Becca put to them as briefly as possible.

When it was
over it took Maggie a good while to make her way to Becca through the other
bridesmaids.  It was obvious from the few dismissive looks passed over her no
one in the wedding party felt she was up to their high standards.  Her summer
dress and strappy-heeled sandals were from Macy’s without any pretense of a
designer label.

There were a
few of the groomsmen who seemed to want to catch her eye; most of them were
blatant about admiring her boobs more than anything else.  Becca ignored all of
them until Maggie finally caught up with her.  She grabbed her arm and looked
around.

“There he
is, come on; I want you to meet Stephen.”

When Becca
turned to look at the man they were heading toward she was a little dismayed to
see quite a few gathered, including to her surprise, Griffin.  He looked like a
wolf among lambs.

Well, maybe
not lambs.  They were definitely carnivores, but even among the rich and snooty
he took power to a whole new level.  Rachelle was certainly hanging on his
every word.

Becca cut
off a growl before anyone else heard it.  Griffin towered over the other men with
a hard animalistic physique and a primal assertiveness that made the rest of
them look dull and soft.  She could hardly blame other women for wanting him.  It
was obvious, at least to her, that while Maggie’s fiancé and his ilk, might be
sharks in the business world, Griffin was the true predator in the room.  Just
the sight of him made her pussy clench and her breath come a little faster.

She still
wanted to bite him in retaliation when Rachelle twittered and touched his arm.

“Stephen,
this is the friend I was telling you about.”  Margaret was saying when the rush
had cleared from Becca’s ears.  “Rebecca Evans.  Becca, this is my fiancé,
Stephen.”

Maggie's
Fiancé took her hand briefly and nodded.  “Pleasure,” he said.  Clearly feeling
mild politeness was all that was required.

“Margaret,”
he said.  His voice warmed.  “This is Griffin Hale.  Griffin is one of our
stockholders, though we rarely see him at meetings.  I was just trying to find
out what brings him here.”  He turned back to Griffin.  “I hope you can come to
the wedding.”  He turned back to Margaret.  His overly effusive introduction
made it clear he expected there to be no problem adding a guest.  For her part,
Margaret took it graciously.

“Of course
you are welcome Mr. Hale we’ll see if we can’t get your name down for another
seat at the reception as well.”

“We should
be able to make room at our table.”  Stephen went on blithely.  Clearly not
caring who in the bridal party would be losing their spot at the table.  Becca
caught Rachelle’s smirk coming her way and wondered if she would end up sitting
at the kids table.

“Don’t
bother on my account, as I was just about to explain to Stephen I have rather
pressing business of my own and will be unable to make the meal.  I would like
to offer my congratulations on your wedding.”  Griffin took her hand, kissing
the back of it.  “Stephen is a very lucky man.”

Becca rolled
her eyes.

Maggie
blushed.  “Thank you.”

“Are you
sure you can’t join us?”  Stephen interjected, before his big fish could
escape.

“Thank you,
but no, I might stop by briefly to collect my fiancé.  Actually if you can
spare her for a moment now we can iron out the details before she disappears
for the day.  There are a few things I forgot to discuss with her before we
parted this morning.”  Griffin suddenly turned and looked right at Becca.  “Can
you spare me a moment love?”

Becca who
had been watching the polite but inane byplay with an inner grimace suddenly
found herself the focus of all eyes.  She cleared her throat, aware that the
expressions around her showed a wide range of shock, and on a few faces, a new calculation.

She sighed
inwardly.  On one hand he had, with one line, raised her status astronomically,
if the looks passing around were any indication.  No kids table for her.  On
the other hand, he had just announced to the world that they were engaged,
without discussing it with her first, and after having known each other one
day.  He was beyond presumptuous.

“Actually,
dear
,
I was just about to head for the changing room with Maggie.  Today should be
all about the bride, after all, and I’ve already missed so much.  But I’m sure
I’ll see you
after the wedding
.”  She smiled a big fake smile right into
his glittering eyes.  “Sweetie.”  Then she turned her back and took Maggie’s
arm.  She was looking at Rebecca like they had never met before.

They were almost
to the doors when Maggie found her voice.  “Do you know who that is?”  Then she
laughed.  “Of course you do, you’re engaged.”  Then her voice hit a new
octave.  “You’re engaged to Griffin Hale?  And you didn’t tell me?”

“I’m not
engaged.”  She whispered.  “He just thinks we are.”  She felt a tingle at the
back of her neck.  Hunted, she was hunted.  “Can we move a little faster here?”

“What do you
mean he just thinks you are?  Tell me you are not playing hard to get with
Griffin Hale.  Do you know who that man is?”

She was
pretty sure she knew better than Maggie what kind of man he was and wasn’t.
She could practically feel his hot breath on her throat as they made their
escape.  An escape she just knew she was going to be paying for later.  “He’s
the man who just announced to a room full of strangers and my oldest friend
that we are engaged without discussing it with me first.”

Maggie
stopped mid step, then almost immediately grabbed Becca’s arm and pulled her
along at an even faster speed.  “You’re right.  That was bad.  He must be
punished.”

It made
Becca laugh.  Even as they escaped into the dressing room no man’s land, Becca
knew Griffin was going to have a thing or two to say to her later.  That was
fine she had some things to say as well.  Lucky for her it would be much
later.  Though, she might be exaggerating his reaction.  He could have already
forgotten about it himself, after all what did she do that was so bad.  Surely,
the Alpha has heard no before.  Right?

Griffin
watched Becca run from him with narrowed eyes.  Clearly, she needed another
lesson on who she belonged to.

Meanwhile,
Stephen Baxter was still going on about something he could care less about.
Cane industries was one of many companies he held stock in.  Baxter was CEO, a
shark in the boardroom and very good at making money.  That did not mean he
liked the man, or the way he had looked through Becca when she was introduced.

“Excuse me
Stephen; I have a meeting to get to, congratulations again on your wedding.”

He left
Baxter sputtering behind him and headed back to his office.  He hoped Becca
enjoyed her little rebellion today because tonight he would be taking it out on
her ass.

“So where
did you meet Griffin Hale?”

“Why do you
keep saying his name like that?  And how do you even know who he is?”

“Griffin
Hale is a legend in business circles.  He plays the stock market like an
aficionado.  When he takes an interest in a company even my father pays
attention.”

They had a
few minutes of quiet before the others followed to the suite they were using as
a dressing room before and after the wedding.  Pale rose bridesmaid dresses
were hanging from every surface.  As Becca looked around at the gold and white
room she was struck by just how much money Griffin and the others must have.

Suddenly she
felt sick.  She was supposed to be the mate to this man?  To all three of
them?  There was a reason she hadn’t seen Margaret since College, despite being
best friends.  They didn’t travel in the same circles.  She might plan some
high dollar marketing campaigns but she was a strictly behind the scenes spoke
in a large wheel.  And she liked it that way.

“So where
did you meet?  At a fundraiser?”

“Not
exactly.”

“You’re
stalling.”  Before Becca could decide how much editing she would have to do to
that story the door opened and the other seven bridesmaids caught up with
them.  Rachelle was livid.  If she had been any less graceful, she would have
been stomping.  A tantrum was definitely in the wind.

“Please tell
me that was some kind of joke.”  Her snide tone had Margaret raising a
disbelieving brow beside her.  Becca was sure this was a side of Stephens’s
sister the bride had yet to see.

“What
exactly are you implying, Rachelle?”  Margaret’s voice said clearly, it better
not be what it sounded like.

Rachelle
finally looked at Margaret’s set face.  You could practically see her flip the
switch to ‘people who matter’ behind her eyes.  Her tone lost its edge, but not
her disbelief.  “She can’t be engaged to Griffin Hale.”

“I can’t?”
Becca's voice was deadpan.  “Why not?”

Rachelle
looked her up and down, her struggle to hold in her rude opinion was almost
funny.  She had to settle for:  “You just don’t seem like his type,” with
Maggie listening.

One of the
other interchangeable blonds that made up the brides entourage snickered,
drawing Margaret’s censorious eye.  She went quiet, fast.

Rebecca was
tempted to laugh herself it was so ridiculous.  It was clear what they thought
of her.  She was a short, cute, pleasantly plump, and firmly of the middle
class both socially and financially.  Now they had to adjust their thinking.
They were probably all adding social climber and gold digger to the list.

Becca
sighed; this time should be about the bride and her day not petty jealousy and
class snobbery.  “Actually you are right about the engagement.”

Rachelles
smile was very smug.  “I knew it.”

“I haven’t
agreed to any engagement no matter what he thinks.”

That wiped
the smug right off her face.  “Are you trying to suggest that he wants to marry
you and you won’t have him?”

“What does
having him have to do with marriage?”

This time it
was Maggie who laughed.  “I am going to get this story out of you eventually
you know.”

Becca
smiled.  “Probably, but right now we should start getting you ready for your own
wedding.  Let me worry about avoiding mine.”

They both
ignored Rachelle who was still looking like she didn’t know whether they were
joking or not.  The rest of the group looked just as uncertain.  It must be
difficult.  Not to have the interloper pegged in a comfortable niche.  Now they
had to worry about whether she was important or not.
