Deborah’s mind had clicked into working mode as Mr. Sanford starting giving her details of her duties. As they stood at the door of the small room though, she was suddenly all too aware of how close she was standing to the billionaire. She could smell the scent of his aftershave and it brought out goose bumps on her arms. “I guess I’ll get started then,” she said and moved to walk into the room. Mr. Sanford made only a token effort to get out of her way and Deborah felt the heat of his body as she squeezed past and moved to the desk. She could feel her heartbeat quickening again and when she looked up saw that the billionaire was still watching her. He caught her gaze and smiled and Deborah found herself a little mesmerized by the handsome face. Jeez, this going to be some week she thought, as she watched her boss disappear from view back to his desk.

For the rest of the morning Deborah worked through the details on the PC and familiarized herself with Mr. Sanford’s schedule for the week. The work she was to do was really no different than that she carried out for Mr. Cray and she was confident she would have no problems. Later in the morning she walked through Mr. Sanford’s office.

“You have a meeting in ten minutes,” she informed her boss.

“Thanks,” he said, picking up the phone and calling through to reception. “My guests have already arrived, could you go and escort them through please.”

“Sure,” she replied. Stepping out of the office, Deborah made her way along to reception and spoke to the woman behind the desk. Mr. Sanford’s guests were pointed out to her and she went across to introduce herself then led them through to the office. “I’ll just head out for some lunch if that’s OK,” she said. Mr. Sanford nodded and she stepped into the small room to get her bag and then left the three men in private while she went to find somewhere to grab a bite to eat. By the time she got back the meeting was over and the billionaire was alone in the office again. “That was quick,” she said.

Mr. Sanford smiled. “They are looking for me to invest in their business so I gave them the terms I could work to and they left to mull it over.”

“OK,” Deborah replied. “You have another meeting at three,” she reminded him. “Is there anything you need me to do this afternoon?”

The billionaire motioned down to the papers in front of him on the desk. “I’m just finishing a couple of letters,” he answered. “I’ll bring them through when they are finished.” Deborah nodded, walking to the small room and sitting at the desk. It was more than twenty minutes before her boss came through. For the first, but not the last, time of the week he moved directly up behind her, leaning over to put the letters in a basket on the desk. The goose bumps returned to her skin as she sensed just how close he was to touching her.

“So do you enjoy working for Henry Cray?” he asked.

“Sure,” she replied. “He’s a great boss to work for.” The brush of the billionaire’s leg against her shoulder almost brought out a gasp and she worked to get control, picking the letters from the basket and trying to concentrate on them. Mr. Sanford made no effort to move away though and continued to chat. His leg brushed a little harder against her and he suddenly bent forward to change something in one of the letters. Deborah caught the scent of the aftershave again and felt the quickening of her pulse. It made her breathe a little heavier and she tried to disguise it. The flush of heat brought a tinge of red to her face though and there was no disguising that. Mr. Sanford finally stepped back and Deborah breathed a sigh of relief as he moved back to his own office. She could feel her heart racing and was suddenly all too aware of her attraction to the billionaire. She wondered if his movement around her in the confined space of the small office was his normal behavior or whether there was more to it and shuddered at the thought that he might be interested in her. She tried to put the thoughts to the back of her mind though and concentrate on typing the letters. She took them back through to him just before three and reminded him of his meeting. Again she went out to escort his guests to the office although this time returned to the small room as the meeting went ahead.

It was after five before the guests finally left and when the billionaire was alone in the office again, she walked through. “Is there anything else you need from me today?” she asked. The smile that crossed the billionaire’s lips was fleeting, but Deborah noticed it and wondered what thoughts brought it on.

“No, nothing more today,” he said. “If you want to get going that’s fine with me.”

“Thanks,” she replied, returning to the small room to grab her belongings. “See you tomorrow,” she said as she walked to the door of the office.

“I’ll look forward to it,” Mr. Sanford replied, a smile playing across his lips again.

Deborah felt the slight shiver caress her spine at the tone of his voice and wondered if there was hidden meaning in the comment. Looking forward to seeing me for work or for more she thought, but put the idea to the back of her mind as the lift descended to the ground floor and became crowded again.

The next couple of days followed much the same pattern, although Mr. Sanford left the office on the Wednesday afternoon to attend a meeting. Deborah decided she better wait until he returned, but it was almost six o’clock before he did. The billionaire seemed in a hurry when he returned. ‘I know its asking a lot, but could you stay late and type this for me?” he asked when he saw Deborah.

“Sure,” she agreed, taking the papers from him and moving back to her desk. She was concentrating on finishing the work and didn’t even realize that her boss entered the small room until she sensed him standing behind her.

“Nearly there?” he asked.

“Almost,” Deborah replied. Her concentration was suddenly affected and her fingers fumbled over the keys at the sensation of the billionaire standing so close to her again. She tried to focus on her work, but it became increasing difficult as Mr. Sanford leant forward to read what she was typing. With supreme effort she finally managed to complete the job and print it out. Mr. Sanford remained standing behind her reading through the letters and Deborah sat poised to make changes as he requested them. The work was finally completed and Mr. Sanford took the printed pages and moved back to his own office. Deborah picked up her belongings and followed him. “I’ll get going,” she said.

“Hold on,” he replied. “I’m heading home also. I’ll get the chauffeur to drop you off first.”

“No that’s OK, I can…” Deborah stopped talking as the billionaire held up his hands.

“You stayed late to help me,” he said. “It’s the least I can do.” He stood and collected the papers on his desk into his briefcase before putting on his suit jacket and moving around the desk. As happened on the first morning, Deborah felt the touch of the hand on her lower back as the billionaire guided her out to the elevators. When the doors closed and trapped them in the enclosed space she was only too aware of how close they were standing together. When the elevator reached the basement parking lot the hand returned to her lower back and she was guided to the billionaire’s car. He removed his hand to open the door of the vehicle and ushered her inside, quickly following to sit beside her. The back seat was roomy, but the billionaire moved close enough to Deborah that their thighs were almost touching. She couldn’t control the involuntary shiver that suddenly shook her body and tried to move away a little. “So what’s the address?’ he asked. Deborah gave the details of her apartment and Mr. Sanford used the intercom to relay the information to the driver. They set off in silence, Deborah looking out at the passing city for a while. She turned her attention back into the vehicle as her boss spoke.

“I hope I haven’t inconvenienced you,” he said.

“Inconvenienced me in what way?” Deborah asked a frown creasing her brow, but she suddenly felt a little foolish as she realized what he was talking about. “Oh…, you mean by keeping me working late?”

“Yes,” he laughed. “I hope your husband or boyfriend will understand when you get home.”

It seemed as if he was fishing for information and Deborah felt the slight thrill of him taking an interest. “No significant other,” she replied. “And I didn’t have plans for this evening, so it’s no inconvenience. I was glad to help.” She was aware of the intense gaze on her and turned to meet it.

“That’s a shame,” the billionaire teased. “A pretty girl like you should have someone special in their life.” Deborah felt her face flush a little and she looked away. “Sorry,” the billionaire went on. “I’m just teasing. So how come no boyfriend?”

“Just haven’t met the right person, I guess,” she answered. “How about you?” she went on quickly, trying to steer the conversation away from herself.

“Too busy with work,” he laughed. “I don’t seem to get the time to meet any pretty women.” He edged across the seat a little and Deborah felt his thigh brush against her own. Her pulse raced a little at the touch and this time she made no effort to move away.

“Well, there are lots of pretty women around,” she replied.

“I’m starting to notice that,” Mr. Sanford went on.

Deborah could feel the intense gaze scrutinizing her again and felt the heat in her body rise. The silence between them stretched out and she felt a shiver as she finally turned to look at the billionaire again. His gaze was fixed on her and she was sure he was going to lean forward into a kiss. She waited for it, her excitement rising, but jumped as the sound of the driver’s voice coming over the intercom broke the moment.  “We’ve arrived,” he said. The car slowed to a halt next to the curb and Deborah looked out of the window at her apartment building.

“You need to live further away to give us more time,” the billionaire said.

Deborah felt her face flush again. “I’ll see you tomorrow,” she said, reaching out to the handle and opening the car door.

“I’ll look forward to it,” Mr. Sanford said with a smile. It was the same line he used before, but this time she was sure that he was interested in seeing her for more than just work. She smiled but said no more as she stepped out of the vehicle and closed the door. It rejoined the traffic and she watched as it disappeared from view, finally turning to walk to her apartment building.

Work was extremely busy over the next couple of days, with Mr. Sanford and Deborah kept fully occupied. It afforded little time for them to take forward what began in the back of the car and when Deborah learned that the billionaire’s full-time personal assistant would return the following week she wondered if anything would happen at all. She wondered if the billionaire had just been toying with her and as the last day of her temporary placement came to an end she sat typing a letter, her attention focused on her work. She sensed the effect of Mr. Sanford’s sudden presence behind her. The quickening of her heartbeat and flush of heat brought out a desire that she couldn’t hold back and as the touch of the hand on her shoulder burned into the skin she closed her eyes.

“I can’t stop thinking about you,” the billionaire said and Deborah shivered as his fingers moved from her shoulder and traced gently onto the soft skin of her neck. The touch was electric, making her shudder and she leaned her head into it. Her breathing was becoming ragged as the billionaire slid his fingers to her chin and turned her head. Deborah opened her eyes, another shudder wracking her body as she saw the gaze of the handsome face fixed onto her. “I want you to be mine,” he said quietly.

“Yes,” she murmured, caught up in the moment and unable to hold back the word. The billionaire moved his hand from her chin and reached down to grab her wrist, pulling her up and leading her through to his office.

“Lock the door,” he ordered and Deborah did as she was told, moving across to lock the office. As she turned back she saw him closing the blinds and when he crooked his finger and beckoned her over to him she obeyed instantly. With each step she could feel her excitement rising and when she got to the billionaire he reached out to stroke her cheek. She nuzzled against the touch and felt herself being pulled forward. Since her ride home in the car she had been fantasizing about the feel of the billionaire’s lips on her own, but the reality of the kiss was better than she imagined. She gave herself over to it, the desire in her body rising as Mr. Sanford wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. When he finally broke the kiss, he dragged Deborah over to his chair and sat, pulling her down onto his lap. She immediately felt the hardness of the erection pressing against her ass and wriggled around on it. She was pulled into another kiss, the lips of the billionaire finally working away from her mouth and moving to caress onto her ear. The touch sent a shiver along her spine, the sensation heightened as she listened to the quiet whispers.
