The
pulsing vibrations
generated by his movements
were
overpowering
, unable to withstand
the multitude of orgasmic sensations carrying her to dizzying
heights
, the
climatic crescendo
resulted in a cry for her husband and a confession. T
he electricity subsided
. Her
head
flopped to
his
shoulder
as she confessed, “
I love you…
I’m
so
lonely without you
.”

This
statement
brought a spontaneous combustion
and
he
breathed hard then
abruptly
reached out a hand to
shut
off
the water
with her attached
to his
chest like one of his tattoos.
What had he done?
Why would she feel so lonely in his absence, didn’t she know he could never stay away from her for long?

He stepped from the tub with
her legs still around his waist. Their bodies dripped water and he
grabbed a towel to dry her hair
listening to her
husky breaths
.
.

“I’m sorry babe…” he lifted her chin and looked into her watery eyes
to see
the depths of her despair. He’d done this and he had to fix it, “
I’m missing you every moment I’m away, please
corazón
don’t give up on me, I love you.

Her head shook from side to side
as if his words were incomprehensible
, “I’ll never give up on you. I love you too much.”

The opaque
blue
eyes squint hard
to ease the burning in his eyeballs.
This
woman was his life. He’d die a thousand
deaths
for her
,
if there w
as
any way to get free of th
e
albatross crushing down on him he’d find it.

God
,
forgive
me
for not having the courage to stay in Italy. I should have
let go and
allowed
her
to
have a normal life
with our child. Instead
, I was selfish as always and
came back for her and now
look at how
miserable
I’m making her
.
S
he’s
sad
and it’s
ripping my heart out
!

The self-castigation continued as he silently
berate
himself for being a selfish bastard
.
Dark secrets would forever dog their
happiness
unless he found a way out or set her free. He could not get out of the business with his
life,
his only option was to
disclose everything then let her decide.
“Selange…I don’t deserve you. I can’t do this anymore…
I

Her a
rms wrapped around his neck and
she lowered her feet to the floor standing on her tip-toes to look up into his clear blue eyes, “Stop…
don’t
say things like that because it’s not true. We
chose each other and we’re going to work through whatever it is to get back to where we were.” She leaned against him, “I’m not crying because
I’m sad
if that’s what you think
, it’s the complete opposite
.
It feels good having you home
.
I
miss you when you’re away
, that’s all and wish
you were home more but you do make me happy, very happy
sweetheart
.”

Thank you
babe for telling me this, ugh, I needed to hear those words.”

She began to kiss his damp chest and elicited an instant arousal. She gestured to the furry rug and he gladly obliged. She straddled him
and the towel dropped to the floor. He gripped her waist as
she descended over him and
moved in slow
c

s
around his co
rona
. She
held him tight, stroked him from base to tip repetitively and a
jolt of electricity traveled through his body as she
pushed
against his thighs
and with hypnotic movements
glide
above him her eyes on his face until he smiled.

Yes, he grinned and
groaned
because the shit felt so nice he told her
,

Babe…
you
feel
so
good…damn!”

Selange’s
senses were heightened; she could feel his lips straining to connect with her breasts
along with
his warm breath on her skin
. The
aroma of
cooking
sausages seep
ed
beneath
a
crack
in the door and she smiled. Aside from sex and his family, food was another of her husband’s passions.
L
ike a
seductive nymph
she
pressed the palms of her hands against his chest guiding him down, holding him still as her pelvis lifted and lowered in a
n erotic tempo bringing a satisfied contortion to his face.

I am the luckiest man in the world
!

They were fully engrossed in
passionate
lovemaking when a repetitive knock sounded on
the door
and they stiffened
.

M
ommy
what you doing
,
are you crying
?”
Came
Sal’s small
voice.

S
elange lay across her husband’s chest
breathless
and
panted,

No….no…mommy’s fine
I
’ll be
out soon
. G
o
w
ake your auntie
Shanda
.”

Alfonzo was chuckling.

I’m hungry.”
Sal replied.

She tried to control her breathlessness, “Okay
honey, I’m getting dressed. I’ll be out in a
minute.”

Alfonzo found this entire verbal exchange humorous. He would’ve simply told the kid to ‘wait until he’s done and go sit down’, but Selange held a damn press conference with the boy. Geez!

“Where’s p
oppy
?”

“In the shower,” she answered patiently, “go wake auntie
,
okay.”

Oh, o
kay.”

The sound of little feet
finally
retreated from the door
and Alfonzo raised
his head
smirking
,

Okay where were we?”

Selange cupped his mouth
and whispered
,

Sssh
, he m
ight
still be out there.”

“How the hell does he think he got here, a spaceship?”

“Alfonzo he’s too young
to know about these things.”

He
nibbled
her
palm
playfully
, “He’s gone
,
relax
.”

She began to
sit up
,

Alright
the
f

over lover boy
, motherhood beckons
.”

Kids, sometimes
they
were
an effective form of
birth control.
He pulled her
back
down and
tickled her
until she wiggled around laugh
ing
and
pleading for him to stop. Finally, he rolled on top
and
gave her a lusty kiss then stood, “Okay, now we’re
officially
done.”

His stomach growled
. His other love
beckon
ed
and she laughed
.

CHAPTER THREE

S
handa peeked over the clothes rack at the driver a few yards away. He stood out amongst the female patrons in the lingerie boutique a
ttracting curious stares
. He
appeared
unaffected by the thin smiles of the women eyeing him from head to toe
. He
was too
engrossed in his work
keeping tabs on two particular women as they
browsed
an array of flimsy
nightwear.

“Why is he following us everywhere?” Shanda whispered.

“He’s only doing his job
, cut him a break!

“I th
ought he was your driver. What is he a bodyguard, too?”

Selange
held out a
lace and satin mini-robe.
“Exactly.”

“Yuck! I’d hate someone following me around
like that, it’s creepy.
He probably tells your husband everything
. What time you shit, what you ate, who you spoke to.
Creepy…creepy!

Shanda don’t create drama when there isn’t any.
There are plenty of people who hire bodyguards and after what happened in New York you of all people should appreciate his presence.

Seriously,
that was years ago and I’m not going to let some piece of shit like Freddie cause me to stop living. My dad got me a licensed pistol and any
body stupid enough to try me is catching lead in their ass!

“I’m sure your
licensed
gun is sitting in a locked drawer in your apartment,” she said turning to look at her best friend with curiosity, “right?”

“I wanted to bring it, for real but I only have a license for NYC?”

I figured as much.

“Y
ou’re a trip,
chica!
” Shanda
stressed in her imitation of
Alfonzo
.

Selange shook her head in
exasperation
,

And y
ou’re incorrigible.”

Whatever, a
nyway,
I want to hit the beach and check out the locals.” She glanced in Franky’s direction, “We’re dumping hi
s ass f
or a couple of hours and it’s not up for debate.”

“Shanda?”
But Shanda was already moving away and approached
a
saleswoman. Selange waited until she returned to ask, “What are you scheming?”

“You’ll see, come on!” She grabbed a handful of items from the rack and pulled Selange to the dressing room.

Inside the private
fitting
area she put the clothes down then peered through a crack in the wooden
slats
to view the scene unfold. The saleswoman was approaching Franky
. T
hey
talked
then a security guard from the mall
appeared
. This was
followed by a slight commotion as Franky argued with the officer. Shanda grimaced guiltily when more officers appeared and Franky was escorted out the store.

Selange watch
ed then
exclaimed, “Shanda what did you do?”

“Come on, let’s go.” She grabbed her friend’s hand and they fled past the saleswoman into the bustling mall.

Up ahead they could see Franky
towering
above a pair of officers as they escorted him toward one of the exits. Shanda pulled Selange east
through the revolving doors and
into the island’s beautiful warmth to
freedom.
