Feeling the air being pulled from his lungs, he broke the kiss and studied her face. She was flushed and her eyes were still close. “Jada...” He tenderly called her name and she opened her eyes to look at him. “Don’t ever walk away from me again.” Yet again, before she could utter a single word, his lips were pressed firmly against hers.

“Bedroom?” He murmured against her lips, not wanting to break the kiss, but needing the information. She pointed in a direction to her right without taking her lips off of his. He swept her in his arms and headed toward the room.

It was a three bedroom condo and she guided him to the master suite. A large room with washed oak furniture awaited him. It was tastefully done in earth tones, which he preferred. In another situation, he may have found the room relaxing. Right now, he had more pressing matters to attend to.

He placed her on her feet in front of the bed, reached up, and released her hair from its ponytail prison. He slowly peeled her casual clothes off to find a matching red lace bra and panties set. He thought to himself that on some subconscious level she knew he was coming to make her wear that. “Beautiful,” was his desirous comment.

He began to remove his own clothes and was glad for the loose fit of his pants because if he was any harder, he would have had to go up a pants size. Completely naked and unashamed, he watched her eyes travel down the length of him, settling on his manhood. He reached for her breast and heard a small gasp. “I need to see all of you,” He said as he removed her bra and panties.

The situation was overwhelming for her and although words were in her head, nothing came out of her mouth.

He retrieved a condom from his wallet and protected them both. He kissed her again until they were both lying on the bed preparing to become one. She was perfectly nestled underneath him. He lifted his head to look directly into her eyes. “Jada...” He said through heavily lidded eyes and trembling hands that touched her face, “I love you.”

Jada’s eyes were surprised at the admission of love from him. He watched the play of emotion behind them. He knew exactly when her own admission of love for him would finally surface when her eyes became glassy. “I love you, too, Alexander,” She said, holding back the tears.

“Let me make love to you forever,” Alex said in her ear as he positioned himself over her. He began to kiss her cheek, trailing the kisses down her neck. Her body was a roaring flame, and he could barely keep himself in check. He caught her nipple in his mouth and began to gently suck and pull. Moans of pleasure escaped her lips and drove him forward. His hand found its way to her center, which was hot and wet. She lifted her hips to him as he continued his assault on her body. His hands continued to stroke and massage her as his tender lips tasted every part of her.

Finally, unable to take the sweet torture any longer, she lifted his head, looked him squarely in the eye, and said, “Now, Alexander.”

That same wicked smile that he reserved only for her appeared on his lips as he replied, “My pleasure, sweetheart.”

As he entered her, he felt his control slowly slip away because she was exquisite. Slowly, he established a rhythm that she quickly matched. He couldn’t keep his mouth off of her as he rained kissed over her lips, face, and neck. He stroked her with everything he had. His total focus and concentration was on her. He never had and could never again love another woman the way he loved her.

Jada felt herself spiraling out of control. Every cell in her body burned with the need of Alexander Love. She gripped his back tightly attempting to draw him even closer than he was. She couldn’t tell if it was him or her trembling. He was going painstakingly slow and she couldn’t take it any longer. She loved this man and needed this man. She could no longer imagine life without him.

He heard his name fall from her lips in a breathless whisper and he wanted her to always remember that moment. His body was screaming for more, he was addicted to her and didn’t care. He lifted his head to watch her while he continued to make love to her. Memorizing every thing there was about her.

“Jada, honey, look at me,” His voice came as ragged breaths that even he didn’t recognize. Her dark eyes lifted to his and that was his complete undoing. His pace quickened and his fist tightened on the sheets beneath her. She lifted her legs to wrap around his lower back and he became dizzy. Her nails pinched the back of his shoulders and the pain was exquisitely erotic. Her back arched and hips lifted and he thought for sure he would black out from the sheer force of their love making.

“Alexander!” came the cry from her lips as her climax hit her with the force of a tornado. Her body bucked and convulsed, and he was not far behind.

“Oh...Jada!” came his own cry through clinched teeth that made his jaw stiff. His hands were hurting from holding the sheets so tight. It seemed as if it would never end, and he didn’t want it to.

Finally, they both came down from their high as they lay beside each other covered in sweat. He held her possessively, her head lay on his chest, and her leg was lazily thrown over his.

“Jada?” He started quietly.
“Yes,” She answered lazily.
“Promise you’ll never just walk away from me again. Promise you’ll come and talk to me. No matter what.”
She sat up slightly so she could look into his eyes. “Promise.”
He kissed her deeply and the heat flared once again. They spent the next several hours completely satisfying each other. Later, while they showered together, he suggested they go to dinner.

“Alex, I don’t know if I could walk out of this room right now,” She said with a giggle.

“I’ll carry you to the end of the earth. Don’t worry,” He replied with a smile. “This is important. Besides, we have to eat.”

“Alright, fine,” She said teasingly, knowing she would never be able to deny him anything.

When they exited the shower, she noticed him make a quick phone call and knew he was up to something. “What’s going on?” She asked.

“Nothing, baby,” He said with that all knowing smile. “Let’s get dressed and get out of here.”

She watched him warily. “I’m keeping my eye on you, mister.” “I hope that you will.”
A short while later, the two of them were leaving her building hand in hand, heading toward an awaiting car. “Charles,” Alex spoke.

“Alex,” The man answered.
“This is Jada Whitman. Jada, this is Charles,” He introduced. Jada extended her hand. “Nice to meet you, Charles.”
“My pleasure, Ms. Jada,” Charles said as he grinned warmly and opened the door for them.
In the car, she asked Alex, “Do you always do things like this?”

She waved her hand around the car.
“Only for the woman I love,” He answered with a smile.
Charles drove without any direction from Alex. “Where are we going?” Jada asked.
“Dinner,” Alex simply said.

Charles pulled the car to a stop in front of one of Los Angeles’ most posh restaurants. He rounded the car and opened the door. Alex exited the car first, and extended his hand to Jada. Together, they walked into the exclusive establishment.

“Good evening, Mr. Love, Ms. Whitman. Your table is ready,” The tall host said. He led Alex and Jada to an intimate table near a window. The garden view was beautifully peaceful. A bottle of wine was already chilling at the table. Alex helped Jada into her seat and took his own.

“I’m not going to ask you how you knew where to find me,” Jada said with a smile. Alex just smiled in return. “I’m just glad you did.”

“I was very upset with you, Jada, when you left without saying anything to me,” Alex said seriously.

“I figured you would be. I’m sorry. I was scared. Terrified, actually. You make me happy and nervous at the same time. I wasn’t sure if you felt the same way about me that I felt about you. I have loved you for a while now, and it scared me how quickly I fell for you.”

“Yeah,” Alex chuckled. “It scared me, too. I should have told you sooner, but ironically, I didn’t want to scare you away. You walked into that party with Ami and I fell in love before you spoke one word.”

“Alexander, stop it.” Jada blushed.

“See, right there.” He reached out and touched her cheek. “I love that you are always a lady with me, but will fight for what you believe. I want you to believe in me, and in what we have.”

“I do, Alex. More than you know. Trust me, you are not going anywhere,” Jada said as she snapped her finger.

Alex laughed and kissed the palm of her hand. “I love you.”
“I love you,” Jada repeated from her heart.
Almost two hours later, Alex and Jada were still laughing as they shared their lives over dinner. He loved the way her eyes sparkled when she was happy. He always wanted to see her like that. Suddenly, he turned serious and Jada caught the sudden change in the air around them. She became a little nervous.

“Jada, I need to ask you something,” He stated, never taking his eyes off of her.

“Anything,” She replied a little unsure.
“Can you do your job from any where in the world?”
Jada thought that an odd question and her expression displayed

her thoughts. Finally, she answered, “Well, yes. I would imagine. With today’s technology and communication, I guess I could work from just about any where.”

“Good,” He said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a familiar turquoise blue box with a white bow. Jada sat statue still and was sure she stopped breathing.

As he pulled one end of the ribbon, he said, “I wanted to know if you will be my wife. Marry me. Have my children. Love me always, because that’s what I plan to do for you.” He opened the box to reveal a flawless, five karat, emerald cut solitaire ring in a platinum setting.

Jada sat staring at the ring thinking if she blinked the whole dream would disappear and she would wake up.

“Jada, honey, you’re making me nervous,” Alex said a little shaky as she continued to sit there staring at the ring.

His words brought her back from her thoughts, shock actually, and he really was sitting before her with a gorgeous ring, asking to marry her.

“Jada?” he asked quietly.

A single tear fell down her cheek as her gaze lifted to him. “Of course, I’ll marry you, Alexander Love.”

Alex’s whole body had been tense as he waited for her answer. He breathed a sigh of relief as he rounded the table with the ring and slipped it onto her finger.

“Thank you,” he said as he looked into her eyes.

“No, thank you,” she replied as she kissed him deeply, tears now streaming down her face.

Later, on their way back to Jada’s house, he turned to her and said, “You know my mother will want to throw a party.”

“I know. I’m counting on it,” She said as she leaned in to kiss him again.

“Keep that up and we will never make it back to your place,” He groaned.

“Ohhhh, wouldn’t that be fun!” She chuckled.

Epilogue

8 months later...

“She looks so beautiful,” Ami said, leaning over to her cousins Madison, Joi, and Hannah. The ladies had gathered around a table at Alex and Jada’s wedding reception. It was one of those rare spring days in March, and the day was perfect and warm. Alex and Jada danced, totally unaware of anyone else in the room.

“I love you, Mrs. Love,” Alex spoke into Jada’s ear as they danced.

“I love you, too, Mr. Love,” She replied with a smile that reached her soul. The two continued to dance lovingly while activities were taking place all around them. For all they knew, they were the only ones in the room after pledging their lives to one another.

“You know, Alex is making us look bad,” Ty said to Chris. Both men were in the wedding as was to be expected.

“I know. Mom keeps looking at us with that silly grin.”

“Well, she can just keep hoping. We all knew Alex was the ‘one- woman-love-you forever’ type, but not us. Right, Chris?” Ty said hopefully.

“Yeah, right!” Chris replied enthusiastically.

“Hey. Who is this new guy Ami is with?” David asked as he and his brother, Flex, approached Ty and Chris. All the men looked toward where Ami was standing talking with a very handsome gentleman who leaned in intimately to speak in her ear. She smiled flirtatiously.

“I don’t know...” Ty answered. “But, where’s Reed? Can’t you guys keep up with your sister?”

David laughed. “Just as much as you can keep up with yours.” He gestured to where Maddy was standing, seemingly having a similarly intimate conversation with another strange man.

“What the heck?” Chris said, ready to put down his drink and approach the couple.

Flex held up his arm. “Listen, guys, leave the girls alone tonight. Alex and Aunt Abbie will never forgive you if cause a scene. Let it go for the evening and we’ll deal with it later. By the way, where are Nick, Sean, and Brian?”

They all scanned the room. Nick was dancing with some half dressed woman. No surprise. Sean and his friend, Justin Owens, were at the bar. Brian was sitting and talking with his latest girlfriend. Ty spoke the words they were all thinking, “That’s not going to last.” The men started to laugh.

Several hours later, the party was starting to wind down. Alex and Jada said their good nights and headed up to the Presidential Suite for the night. The next morning, they were leaving for their two week honeymoon in Madrid, Spain.

Alex carried Jada over the threshold of the room as she giggled. “Put me down, Alex. This is silly!”
