Step 9. Attach the sleeves to the front and back panels.

a.
First, find the center of the sleeve by folding the sleeve in half lengthwise and gently pressing a crease.

b.
Then, with the front and back panels
Right
sides facing out, center the crease on the sleeve over the shoulder seam on the left side of the panels and pin it in place. Make sure to match the raw edges on the sleeve along the left side raw edges on both the front and back panels.

″ seam across the matched raw edges, backstitching at each end. Serge or zigzag across the seam allowance and press the seam allowance toward the sleeve.

Follow the instructions in steps 9a through 9c to attach the other sleeve onto the right-hand side of the attached front and back panels.

Step 10. Attach the sides of the robe.

First, place the front and back panels with

sides together. Match up the side raw edges of the front panel and sleeve with the side raw edges of the back panel and sleeve on both sides of the robe and pin them in place.

Starting on the left side of the robe, stitch a

″ seam across the matched raw edges on the sleeve, pivot

at the underarm seam, and continue to stitch down the side raw edges of the matched front and back panels, backstitching at each end.

To reinforce the seam

under the arm, stitch again over your stitching for about 2″ on each side of the seam that attaches the sleeve to the front and back panels, backstitching at each end.
