I couldn’t help but stare a
t the door as she left; a beautiful PA who has feelings for my handsome man was unsettling. I felt Dennis’s hand tilt my chin up to meet his questioning gaze.

“So that’s Stephanie. S
he’s very pretty,” I said and he just shrugged his shoulders.

“She’s a nice girl,” he said and I raised
an eyebrow.

“You think
?” I asked and he narrowed his eyes in confusion.

“What the hell is
that supposed to mean?” He asked, and then realization lit up his blue eyes. “I know what you’re thinking and don’t even go there,” he said while releasing me to sit in his leather chair.

“What? That the
girl obviously has some serious feelings towards you, you know that right?” I asked and he sighed.

“She has showed
some interest in the past but I told her that we could never happen and she knows that,” he said.

Not wanting to push him
I let it go. I just nodded and turned my gaze towards the window to view outside. I wondered how long ago that exactly was because by the looks of it she seems like she hasn’t gotten over him. I wondered if he knew that. I felt Dennis’s eyes on me but I continued to stare outside, thinking about what all of this could mean. Maybe I was being jealous or even paranoid, but something made me over think about this Stephanie woman. Her infatuation with Dennis didn’t seem normal.

“Hey
,” Dennis said softly. I looked at him and he held his arms out for me. I went over to him and sat on his lap as he stroked my cheek gently. “You have nothing to worry about; I only have eyes for you. When are you going to realize that I love you more than life itself?” He asked. I smiled as his lips lingered at the corner of my mouth. I couldn’t deny that the attention and affection Dennis showed me was evidence to what he was saying. “Although you look hot when you’re jealous and/or mad,” he teased and I just laughed.

“Oh please
, you’re as jealous as I am. If I remember correctly you wanted to rip that guy’s head off of his shoulders at the ball in Jamaica,” I stated and he threw his head back laughing hysterically.

“True
,” he admitted.

As much as
I wanted to stay, I left Isabella waiting and Dennis had to work. I gave him one last kiss and left him to finish his work. When I walked back to the reception desk I found Isabella sitting on a couch in the lobby. She got up when she saw me approaching her.

“Why was that
blonde girl crying? She came from I guess Dennis’s office?” She asked.

“What? Are you sure she came from Dennis’s office?” I asked a little baffled
and she nodded. I thought about what she said, and then it hit me. “That was Stephanie, Dennis’s PA. We just had an awkward moment,” I added as Isabella’s eyes narrowed.

“Really?” She asked.

“Yeah…wait why would she be crying?” I asked as we turned to the elevators. Isabella suddenly stopped and I looked at her confused. She then placed her index finger on her mouth. She walked down the little hallway to the left of the elevators, staying close to the wall and I followed her.

“I don’t understand,
it just seems unfair you know. I’ve had my sights on him ever since I first started here,” the familiar female voice said. I peeked in the doorway and seen Stephanie and some other woman making coffee with their backs away from us. I looked at Isabella in utter shock.

“Yeah but you’ve seen them in the papers and tabloids
for a while now,” the other woman replied.

“I’ve seen Dennis with a few women in some of those magazines
; it was never anything this serious though. Besides I was sort of hoping that the paparazzi was wrong about them, but seeing them together like that suddenly made it all to real,” Stephanie said sadly.

“I’m sorry girl, what are you going to do?” The woman
said compassionately.

I have no idea. I can’t possibly compete with her…” Stephanie said as Isabella pulled me aside.

“So this Stephanie girl is in love with your man? And s
he’s talking about competing with you, what the fuck?” Isabella asked slightly irritated by this whole ordeal.

“What can I do? I can’t change the way she feels about him?” I replied
as Isabella shook her head.

“Ang honey
, there are thousands upon thousands of women who feel that way too, but she is his PA. She’s the second woman Dennis spends time with apart from you, with that said you have to tell her how it is. I know you trust Dennis but don’t make the mistake of not trusting her,” Isabella stated.

I really thought about what she said
and she was right. The way Stephanie talked about Dennis seemed she was willing to do anything to be with him, willing to break us up and take him for herself. I was as possessive and territorial as Dennis was to me, and the thought of Stephanie putting her polished claws all over him made want to rip her hair out. I nodded at Isabella as I saw the other woman leave; Isabella gave me the okay to go in and to tell this woman what she needs to hear. I took a deep breath and walked in to the counter beside her, grabbing a cup as Isabella followed suit. At first Stephanie seemed shocked to see me again as she said a brief hello and I smiled at her. It was time to tell this bitch what was on my mind.

“Word of advice
sweetie,” I said as I poured some sugar and milk into my coffee. “I’d be very careful when speaking about Dennis, especially if his significant other is in an earshot away.” Her blue eyes widened in shock by my sudden blunt comment.

“I…I…I didn’t mean,
” she stuttered but I stopped her. I didn’t want to hear her lame ass excuses.

“It’s not your fault that you have feelings for him
. Join the club,” I said looking down at my coffee and then fixating my eyes on her. “HE IS MINE, SO HANDS OFF!”

“What? Afraid of a little competition
then?” She spat back at me as I laughed.

“Oh s
weetie, do you need to get your eyes checked. Take a good look at who he goes home to every night.” She glanced at me bitterly. “There is no competition. This game never started so it’s your choice…either we’re friendly or worst enemies,” I added while getting a little to close and towering over her from my heels. “So be a good little PA and get him his coffee, arrange his schedule and keep him up to date with his work. Cross the line and we’re going to have a problem,” I said while removing an invisible piece of lint from her suit jacket. “And trust me you don’t want to fuck with me, not when it comes to him…because you’ll lose.” The emotion in her eyes showed fear. “I hope we understand one another?” I asked and she nodded stiffly. “Good.” I picked up my cup of coffee and took a sip. “Oh and one more thing, can you tell Dennis to come home early today. I have a special treat for him.”

Isabella followed behind m
e and laughed darkly while shoulder bumping Stephanie. I shook my head, only Isabella would do something like that, trying to intimidate an already fear struck girl. As Isabella and I walked towards the elevators, I felt a bit shaking up by the whole confrontation. That was not me, but then again I had Isabella with me. She always made me bring out my inner bitch whenever I was with her. I tried to shake it off and glanced down at my ring and it was glowing red. Shit! My ring was making me to feel so much hatred towards that woman. It’s happened before that if I lose my cool or get really irritated my ring makes me say and do things that I normally wouldn’t do. Once inside the elevator, Isabella laughed bring me back to the now.

Who knew Barbie could be so frightening.”

“I kinda
feel a little guilty,” I admitted to her. I really wanted to tell her that it was my ring that propelled me to be so fierce. I can’t even lie though, standing up to Stephanie felt good, and if it wasn’t now then it would have happened in the near future.

“Don’t be like that. Y
ou’re way too nice, plus women like Stephanie take advantage of that kind of shit,” she said earnestly.

“Do you
think she’ll back off?” I asked.

“She’d be crazy not to.”

I dropped Isabella off at her house and rushed back to the estate. I really needed to plan a special treat for Dennis, something to remind him why he was with me.

Chapter
Twelve

I parked the car in the garage and walked into the living room only to be hit by a mouthwatering delicious aroma. But what was even more delicious than the smell of really good food was the site of Angelina cooking and only wearing one of my white button down shirts. She had the sleeves rolled up and her hair down. She looked absolutely breathtaking.

Mmm, coming home to a gorgeous woman barefoot in the kitchen cooking with practically nothing on, I must be the luckiest man on the planet right about now,” I said and she smiled.

“I’m guessing Stephanie never gave you the message
, huh?” She asked. I looked at her confused about what that was supposed to mean. Stephanie didn’t tell me anything.

“What message?” I asked
tilting my head to the side while walking towards her.

“Forget about it, it was nothing,
” she said shrugging her shoulders. She stood on her tiptoes to and gave me a kiss as I lifted her off the ground and spun around as she giggled. I placed her feet back on the floor as she turned back to the stove. “Hungry?” I wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Starving,
” I replied kissing her neck while moving the collar of the shirt out of the way. “But not for food,” I whispered against her neck. “Please tell me you’re not wearing anything underneath this shirt,” I added feeling a little hopeful and she laughed.

“I’m
not wearing anything under this shirt,” she replied and I moaned as I kissed her neck again.

“What are you cooking?” I asked
not really caring about the food.

Juicy roasted chicken with candied carrots and stuff peppers,” she said and I inhaled deeply.

“Yum m
y favorite,” I said.

“I know, that’s why I cooked it,
” she replied while turning in my arms and smiling. “Between me and the food, which is more tempting?” She asked while biting on her lower lip. Damn, whenever she did that an electric current shot straight to my groin.

“I
think it’s a close tie,” I teased while unbuttoning the top buttons of her shirt. “But I’d rather have you instead. Right here if that’s okay.” She placed her hands on top of mine to stop me.

“Slow down. Didn’t your mother ever tell
you to eat your vegetables before you can have dessert?” She asked playfully. I threw my head back and laughed.

“Um
, I don’t think she meant it in that kind of way,” I said and she shook her index finger at me as in not yet. “You’re not really expecting me not to touch you when you parading around with practically nothing on, do you?” I asked raising an eyebrow.

“Shoo
, go change and be ready for dinner in ten minutes,” she said pushing me out of the kitchen as I frowned.

I
listened like a good boy and went upstairs and showered. While in the shower I couldn’t help but think about what Angelina meant about Stephanie giving me a message. Also if it had anything to do with Stephanie’s awkward behavior after Angelina left. I dressed into something comfortable, a white tee shirt and pajama bottoms and headed back downstairs. I stopped dead in my tracks as I seen Angelina set up romantic dinner for two in the living room.

“Dinner is served,” she said
as I sat down on the couch and giving me a plate full of delicious food. She grabbed herself a plate and sat across from me, crossing her legs. Purposefully giving me a magnificent view, I gave her a hard look but she just smiled innocently.

“Aren’t you hungry?” I asked and she
just shook her head while staring at me. I have to keep her talking because if I don’t then I will attack her if she keeps looking at me like that. “I’ve cleared my schedule for a couple of days,” I said and she nodded with that intense gaze.

“So what will we be doing
then?” She asked and I smiled. I like to be doing her now and also in the next few days that come.

“It’s a surprise,” I said
and she pursed her lips. I decided to change the subject. “Did you talk with Stephanie earlier today?” I asked and she quickly looked down.

“Yeah, why are you
asking?” She said and I shrugged my shoulders.

“Nothing really, s
he just seemed a little off after you left,” I said and she sighed heavily.

“Okay.
I um, sort of told her how it was,” she said as I narrowed my eyes, not fully understanding. “Don’t look at me like that. She has feelings for you so I just warned her to stay away from you.” She held up her hand just when I was about to speak, silencing me. “I overheard her talking about you and…I don’t trust her Dennis, there is something about her that I don’t like,” she said slightly shivering absentmindedly.

I shook my
head; I couldn’t believe she felt the need to do something like that. I had no interest in Stephanie, not what so ever. I never did. I just can’t believe she doesn’t know how much I love her? I don’t see other women like how I see Angelina. Ever since that first night of being with her I only had eyes for her. She is everything to me and yet she thinks that I would betray her, I know she still has issues because of her ex who cheated on her, but I would never do something like that to her. I’d rather cut my right arm off before causing any more heartache to her.

“I told you that you have
nothing to worry about,” I said and she narrowed her eyes.

“That’s
so unfair you know that. You can threaten men off of me, but I can’t do the same?” She asked and I eyed her.

“That’s different
,” I said in defense and she raised an eyebrow.

“Oh really, how so?
Enlighten me,” she challenged.

Well for starters, I’m a big boy and I can handle Stephanie,” I stated.

“That’s right, you a
re a big boy,” she said huskily as she shifted her leg. Her beautiful brown eyes were registering passion and I grinned at the look she was giving me. I finished my food off my plate and set it to the side.

“Where is everyone?
” I asked noting how quite it was.

“Some have gone out for the night,
while the others decided to give us a little privacy,” she said smiling. She picked up my empty plate and walked over to the kitchen and placed our plates in the kitchen sink. I watched her intently as she walked back to me.

“Dessert?” S
he asked as she climbed on my lap. Her thighs on both sides of my legs straddling me, I smiled while breathing in her intoxicating scent as I placed my hands on her waist.

“Oh
yes please.”

Much to my surprise she
unlocked my hands from around her waist, then grabbing my face with both her hands. She kissed me eagerly and hungrily, as I let her take the lead for once. Normally I played that role and I loved it, but she wanted the power this time. After a day like today, I was more than happy to give her that privilege. She lifted my shirt off and resumed kissing me, running her soft hands all over my chest. Her kisses moved to my neck and then to my shoulder. If she wanted to torture me, it was sure as hell working. I was beyond aroused and keeping my hands off of her was an excruciating task to do. I wanted to show her a little dominance and have my way with that precious body of hers. My hands involuntarily went to her silky smooth thighs and I moaned of the feel of her under my hands.

“Are you trying to kill me?” I asked
and she lifted her head and smiled. She shifted then rocked against me. Oh yeah, she knows what she’s doing. “Oh baby, that feels good…”

“But
it’s not enough,” she finished my sentence for me while looking down at my erection. She was amazing because all she wanted to do was to please me.

I want to feel you...taste you...touch you...I also want to get this shirt off of you,” I said thickly. “I think you’re a little overdressed.” She smiled as I kissed her neck while unbuttoning her shirt.

Once the shirt was open
I leaned her back and sucked on her perky nipples. I licked and sucked then nibbled on it as she moaned. I quickly picked her up as she wrapped her legs around my waist and carried her upstairs to our bedroom. The need of this woman sizzled down my spine. Laying her on the bed and pressing her legs apart to nuzzle between her slick pussy. I shoved my pants down as I buried myself inside of her. I thrust deep as pulled me deeper inside. It was quick, too quick. She whimpered my name as she creamed and milked me to my release.

We laid next to each o
ther as our breathing returned to normal. I rolled over on my side and stared at her. She looked beautiful, even after a wild fuck. She turned to me and narrowed her eyes.

“What?” She asked.

“You.”

“What about me?”

“I love you, you’re the most beautiful woman that I’ve ever laid eyes on,” I said and she blushed, right on cue. She proceeded to get up but I stopped her and pulled her back down to me. “Don’t run from me,” I whispered.

“Who says
I was running? I just wanted to throw some clothes on.”

“Okay,” I said as I let her up. I’ve been thinking a lot about us for the last few days and
after today with the whole Stephanie thing I think tonight is the night, tonight I’m going to propose to Angelina. I wanted to show her that she was the only one that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I threw on my pajama bottoms and laid back on the bed with my hands behind my head when she came back. She slide under the covers and rested her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and held her tight. “Listen, I have something to say,” I said as she panicked and sat straight up.

“You’re not breaking up with me again?
” She asked with a trace of distress in her voice.

No! Never,” I said as she relaxed and snuggled up against me again. “I promised not to leave you and I intend on keeping my promise,” I said while running my finger through her hair. “You’re everything to me, my shining star and the reason for living. If you asked me to walk through fire I do it without even thinking twice about it. I love you more than you can ever imagine. To me the sun rises and sets with you,” I said. She leaned on her elbow and looked at me and smiled. I’m guessing she’s a little surprised by my confession. I normally showed her how I felt but it was time to tell her what she truly means to me. “You know I never thought I needed… love or to receive love, that it never existed in my world. But I was wrong, I need…”

“You need what?” She asked and sat up.

“You…”I said softly.

“But you already have me,” she said as I shook my head. I HAD her but not in the way I wanted.

I jumped out of bed and pulled out my mother’s ring that was in a ring box from the bedside table draw. I looked at her as she looked back with confusion etched on her face. I got down on one knee in front of her and grabbed her left hand. My heart was pounding out of my chest, I’ve never done anything like this before, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. Her free hand shot to her mouth to muffle her gasp as I showed her the ring box and opened it slowly in front of her.

“I have you, but I want you to be by my side forever. I want a happy
life, with you as my love and mother of my children,” I said softly. “This is my mother’s ring, she gave it to me before she died,” I said as I laughed lightly to myself, thinking back to the day of what she told me to do with this ring. “She told me to give this ring to the girl I love and pledge my life to. I’ve had it in this draw for as long as I can remember. I just never thought I’d actually use it,” I said looking deep into her eyes. She gave me the most heartbreakingly gorgeous smile. “This is me, on one knee pledging my love and devotion to you in hopes that you would give me the honor of becoming my wife,” I said anxiously. She closed her eyes for a second as I watched tears of joy escape and roll down her face. “I can’t live without you,” I said, using the words that she used once before on me. “And if you don’t say yes I will probably kill myself,” I teased and she laughed as fresh tears came down. “Angelina Marie Moore, will you marry me?”

“Yes
,” she whispered.

I
smiled as I took the ring out of the box and slide it on her left ring finger. She let out a laugh and a cry as I stood up and kissed her left hand. She jumped off the bed and into my arms while wrapping her arms around my neck. I held her tight and twirled the both of us around. This is the best thing that has ever happened in my life. I set her back down on her feet and she screamed in pure delight as I looked down at her and smiled.

“Thank you
Mrs. Evers,” I breathed and used both of my hands to cup her face. She shook her head while touching my hands with hers.

“No
thank you,” she whispered. I embraced her tightly as she rested her head on my chest. So this is the feeling pure happiness, I will forever cherish this night for the rest of my life.
