“Would I be a bad girl for swearing if I said I wanted to fuck you?” she asked, as innocently as possible.

“I think I could overlook it this once,” he said and grinned.

Honor went searching for treasure and with triumph, closed her hand over his cock. She loved these briefs he wore, they were fascinating and exceptionally convenient, and not only to a man, a woman benefitted from them as well—she could find her desire easily enough through the hole. The pitter patter of rain had changed to a roaring thunderstorm and Honor felt the energy in the air.

Storms had life; they came alive with sound and fury, giving the elements verbal release and motion. The skies could punish the earth; the storms could wield their anger and have no mercy. Laken groaned and Honor loosened her grip; she scooted lower instead and slipped that big, bold cock of his deep into her mouth and sucked hard. Laken rubbed at her back in a circular motion with both hands.

Honor’s mouth moved faster wanting him deeper. Her tongue rubbed against his hard arousal the way he liked and she felt each of his fingers now digging into her flesh. She wished he could use his power, but too much would hurt her. One day, though, she would ask him to turn her if Tavish offered his blessing, and she would take all of him—hard.

Laken flipped her fast and remained buried deep past her lips; his hips rolled back and forth and his arms were stretching her hands over her head, trapping her. Honor couldn’t move, she wanted to taste him, and when he went to pull away, she sucked harder. Laken grunted his understanding and there was no turning back. His wetness exploded into her mouth and she drained him, loving his taste.

Laken continued to rock against her until he grew hard again. Only this time, he turned her over. Laken caressed the swell of her behind and the small of her back. He pulled her body up onto her hands and knees and asked her to trust him. Honor was curious; she felt the tip of his cock slide into her pussy for mere moments before feeling pressure at her ass. She was wide-eyed waiting and wondering what he would do.

Honor groaned as Laken pushed himself into her carefully, it was excruciating and exciting, and strange. Her body shuddered as she stretched to accommodate him. Her breath came in shallow pants and her elbows buckled, exposing more of her bare, vulnerable behind to him. She whimpered as Laken began moving, then increased speed. All of her was his now, every inch; his seed would claim her insides. Honor gave her body to him, she trusted him, she loved him and she wanted him.

It wasn’t Laken’s power that claimed her, it was his essence, his emotion, it was the feeling he invoked in her very being.

“I’m keeping you,” she heard him say.

Was it said for his benefit or hers? Honor’s legs began to shake; she quivered under him as he became possessive; his hands gripped her as though he would never let go. Laken wrapped his body over her as the thunder hammered across the heavens. She was surprised she could hear it over the slapping of his thighs.

Laken groaned and slipped from her, Honor was spent. She fell forward and couldn’t move. Laken gathered her into his arms. His expression was tense as though he was in deep thought. His look brightened and he had obviously come to a conclusion, he was nodding his head.

“For my
honor
,” she heard him say, or had it been “For my
Honor
?”

Honor fell asleep wondering.

“Tavish, the time has come for me to go my own way.”

Laken and Tavish were once more at the small pond on the outskirts of the coven. It was now Tavish who was pacing; he looked none too happy but Laken remained adamant. All night, he had thought about what he wanted. Laken wanted a family, but when he had said he wanted what Tavish had, he realized it was true; only, he wanted
everything
Tavish had. This coven was Tavish’s, it always would be; the only solution was having his own.

“Why now?” Tavish asked as he paced. “You have my permission to turn Honor, it should be enough.”

“I thought it would be, but it isn’t anymore. I want my own Galf, and maybe a daughter. In order for that, I will need to turn at least two or three vampires. They will belong to me, sired to me. Tavish, you turned me so long ago we
are
more like brothers. I helped you create your utopia, but it’s yours. I want my own.”

“You belong to me.” Tavish’s eyes glowed white and his fangs extended emphasizing how desperately angry he was.

“Would you kill me for wanting what you have?” Laken asked quietly.

Tavish took a few deep breaths. “No.”

“I’m not trying to hurt you. You have taught me so much, is it so wrong you taught me how much I missed a family life with a wife and children? You have shown me anything is possible, and now it’s time to set me free with the knowledge you have given me.”

“Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?” Tavish said dryly.

“Honor doesn’t want to be turned yet; she wants what I do.”

“Losing Ginger was hard on you.”

“Yes, it made me realize that for thousands of years I would watch humans be born—and die. I was too busy before to raise a child from birth to death; Ginger’s loss was a devastating blow. I can’t do it anymore unless I have my own child, and Honor.”

“It’s ironic, my friend, ever since I met you, there has never been anything more important than your honor. Look what fate has given you—your Honor tucked in the form of a human. If that isn’t a sign then I don’t know what is.”

Laken brightened. “There is a male breeder who is older, a man of thirty five, in his prime, dark hair and blue eyes.”

“Conrad is a good man,” Tavish said. “I had thought to turn him, but Tate was always one of my favorites. I know Conrad has been one of your favorites. He’s a bit calmer than the others, easy going. If you wish to try for a baby with him then he is yours—but Laken, he will be your responsibility, and you will leave my coven with him and Honor, regardless of if you are successful.”

Laken went and stood before Tavish, his best friend, his brother, his sire. “I will leave, but I will never be gone.”

The two men hugged.

“I don’t understand; you want me to have sex with another man? Like I’m a breeder?”

Honor had thought Laken would never share her; she thought she would have to beg him in order to be allowed to have her own child. She was feeling anxious and a bit betrayed; she had mentioned she wanted children; did he want them that fast? He had wanted to turn her, and now he wanted her to breed? Laken sat beside her on the bed. He looked like a man possessed with energy, it oozed from him making her heart jump.

“If you don’t want to then you don’t have to,” Laken said, but she could see this was important to him, she just didn’t know why.

“Why would you think I’d want to be with another man so soon? I’ve only just gotten used to you.”

“It’s only Conrad and it will be only once. Caine is a smart doctor, he came up with the theory a vampire has one semi-viable sperm because our hearts still beat occasionally. He has also been experimenting with in-vitro, but for some reason while in the Petri dish the semi-viable vampire sperm kills the human sperm. He’s come to the conclusion the other factors involved need to happen.”

“An in-vitro? What’s a Petri dish?”

“Let’s suffice to say the semi-viable vampire sperm needs to get off on domination, there needs to be an exchange of blood, there needs to be a hunt, and there needs to be multiple orgasms for a pregnancy to occur. I would need to bite Conrad while we both have you, I need to turn him while he orgasms.”

Honor cocked her head to the side. “You want a baby—your own baby, like Galf. This is why you would share me.”

“Fuck that, Honor; I’m not sharing you with anyone.”

“But you just said…”

“You are mine, the baby will be ours.”

“So it really will be your baby,” Honor was astounded. “This is why it’s so important to you.”

Laken squeezed her fingers. “You are important to me. I want us to be a real family. I don’t want you to be afraid, but I picked Conrad because he’s caring and strong and intelligent. He will be mine afterwards. Tavish has given him to me and I’ll be starting my own coven, Conrad is very anxious to be a part of it.”

Honor stood up and paced while wringing her hands together. She didn’t want to dampen Laken’s excitement, but was he asking too much? She turned to gaze at him. He looked so hopeful and Honor wondered for the first time what would it be like to be as old as him with no wife or children.
Lonely.
In an odd way he was as lonely as she felt. All Honor ever wanted was a family to love her and Laken was offering it to her on a silver platter. She could give Laken the child he so desperately wanted.

“Can I have time to get to know Conrad?”

Laken whooped and spun her around the room.

Chapter 13

Laken was pacing in the main hall; he stopped every few seconds to say something to Tavish then thought about what he wanted to say and started pacing again. Finally, Tavish came and stood in front of him, he placed both hands on Laken’s shoulders to steady him.

“I’ll be close and nothing will happen to either Honor or Conrad,” Tavish promised.

“What was it like when you turned me?” Laken asked.

“You were almost dead, so if I killed you by accident it would have been a shame but unavoidable.”

“Caine told me how precise this will have to be.”

“Yes, timing is everything. You need to come at the same time Conrad does, your sperm is designed like you—to hunt and conquer. The sperm needs to mix the second Conrad dies and turns for your sperm to recognize it as no threat, it needs to mix, dominate, but not kill. This is why an older vampire has the most success, we have more control. Once Conrad wakes is the trickier part.

“You must offer Honor to him as a gift of welcome, binding him to you; it’s one of the reasons you are more of a brother—you found your first conquest on your own; I didn’t give Nanya to you. Conrad can drink from Honor the same time you do; that way, you take charge of what memories he gives her. You control how much he can take from her, and then you must make certain he realizes she belongs only to you—a onetime offer. Are you ready, my friend?”

“Yes.”

Laken had chosen a place away from the coven; the entire coven was abuzz with the news that Laken was turning Conrad, but also that he had agreed to walk away from the coven. Laken was breaking a rule and being cast out, technically—and some were delighted for him, some were envious.

Laken settled Honor onto her feet when they landed near a small pond. Tavish had brought Conrad and Caine was standing by with the drink Honor would need after being fed off of by two vampires. Laken checked Honor over, the good doctor had spirited her away for a short time insisting he wanted to make certain she was healthy enough for what was about to happen.

Laken thought Caine had looked a little suspicious and wondered as he had taken Honor at his ramblings about the five children Laken had always mentioned wanting. Caine didn’t think it was fair to Honor, that he ask her to have sex with five different men, just to appease Laken. Laken thought Caine should have known better, sharing her once was difficult enough. But right now, he had other pressing issues.

“Are you all right?” Laken asked. “Your heart is hammering like a drum.”

“I’m fine, really. Caine gave me something to relax me, but it doesn’t seem to be working.”

Laken shot Caine a glance; the man shrugged, he was definitely up to something. “You know you can change your mind,” Laken said. He meant it, nothing was more important than Honor and
his honor,
if she said no then no it would be.

“I thought this would be a gift I could give you,” Honor said as she trailed her fingers down the side of his face. “But it’s my gift too. I will have a family and after being without for so long, it feels this is more of a gift for me. I want your baby—our baby. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?”

Discreetly, Tavish and Caine had moved out of sight, but besides Laken, Tavish was the fastest vampire; if there was any kind of distress, Tavish would offer aid. Laken had never felt so nervous. He was creating life and taking life and yet he hoped to have so much more. Conrad looked at him trustingly—so did Honor, Laken was responsible for so much already his head was spinning. He waited for just a moment to be told what to do, then realized he would do the telling, he was about to become leader of his own coven.

As a breeder male, Conrad only wore a loin cloth in the heat, Honor’s lingerie pooled at her feet when Laken slipped the spaghetti straps off of her shoulder. She blushed right down to her toes and for a second, Laken hesitated.

“Honor?” he asked.

“I’m ready,” she replied.

Laken stripped and settled Honor onto her knees in front of him, with her back to him; Conrad looked like he was waiting for an invitation. Laken smiled at him to put him at ease. Honor had spent many days with Conrad, getting to know him, his likes and dislikes. Honor proclaimed him to be gentle and sweet, and handsome—which made Laken scowl and Honor laugh. Conrad was a powerful man as far as humans went. His build almost surpassed Laken’s, he had the same dark black hair and indigo blue eyes many in the coven sported.

When Conrad knelt before Honor, he first cupped the sides of her face in a loving gesture. “It would seem we all get a gift today if Laken is successful.”

“No pressure,” Laken grumbled.

“Be very gentle,” Honor whispered.

Conrad kissed her forehead, then cheeks, his wasn’t a frantic love-making, there was strength in the man, control; Laken hoped he kept it. Turning a vampire could be dangerous and deadly. Laken would hate to have to kill the man, but he would if he tried to kill Honor. Laken had bled Conrad the day before, taking very little; he searched his memories. There wasn’t a malicious bone in the man’s body. He was a gentle giant and very good with the coven females as he produced many female offspring when paired with another man, also known as a producer of females.
