As he felt himself build to orgasm, seconds away from exploding he realized he was not the only one close. Her body began tense up and quiver in front of him, he could feel the muscles in her pussy tighten against his cock, moments away from releasing onto him.

One more thrust, two more and finally a third gave him sweet release as his cock pounded into her forcefully, his hands on her hips pulling her as tightly as possible onto him. His release was soon followed by her own as the walls of her pussy shook, tensed, then relaxed onto his cock, a new wave of liquid heat drenching his shaft.

Panting he pulled her onto her knees and back against him. His hands palmed her breasts as he nuzzled her neck from behind.

"Oh my god, Nigel," she gasped, letting her head fall back against his shoulder. "I've never..." she was cut off by his lips covering hers in a deep, passion-filled kiss. The cum ran down his shaft and onto his lap, making him horny all over again.
Sweet lord what
has this woman done to me?

As much as he wanted to spend the day in bed with her, he needed to take her home.

Nigel had decided he was going to tell her tonight after dinner what he really was. If he was lucky she'd accept it, like Trinity, like Franny and like a number of other human men and women had done; humans who had met their vampire mates right here at his club.

Kissing the top of her head, Nigel pulled himself out of her and flopped down on his back, motioning for her to join him. She did, snuggling up tight against him, a leg lain casually over his.

"I have some things to do today, as I am sure you do as well," Nigel began. His statement was acknowledged with a nod of her head. "So I thought I would have my driver take you home and pick up tonight so we can have dinner together. There s something important I wanted to talk to you about."

Lacey lifted her head up off of Nigel's chest and looked into his eyes. "You could tell me now," she suggested.

Nigel tenderly brushed a strand of hair back which had fallen over her left eye. "I'd rather discuss it tonight."

"Alright. I suppose we have a fair amount to talk about," a blush crossed over her face.

"We barely know each other." She buried her face into the crook of his arm, as if embarrassed over what they had done together the past couple of nights.

Nigel hooked a finger under her chin and tilted her eyes back up to his. "Sometimes the most important thing is simply
knowing
it was meant to be. I don't believe you came into my club and into my life by some random chance, Lacey. We were
meant
to meet each other, and this was
meant
to happen."

With a coy smile playing around her mouth, Lacey grazed her lips across his, before kissing him tenderly. "In that case I am glad I did."

"Me too." Heaving a deep sigh, Nigel slid off the bed and picked up the telephone. He called to have the limo outside and awaiting Lacey in twenty minutes.

He turned on the bedside lamp for her so she could find her clothing and get dressed without hurting herself in the process. He swiftly threw on the track suit that he had put on the previous evening then indulged himself in watching her dress. With her long red curls dishevelled and out of place, her face flushed from their recent activity he doubted she could look more beautiful to him. She was sexy, without even attempting to be. It took nearly all of his willpower to keep his fangs from dropping.

When she was finally ready he escorted her to the back exit where the limo was waiting for her, the driver standing next to the open back door. "I'll be at your building at six to pick you up, if that s okay?" Nigel asked taking her hand and pulling her close to him, capturing her mouth in a final kiss goodbye.

"Perfect," she replied, slightly breathless from their kiss.

Nigel stood watching as she slid into the back seat and the car pulled away from the curb.

Heading back upstairs to his office to begin a mountain of paperwork, Nigel found himself whistling a tune he had no idea the name of, but which seemed to suit his current mood. Life couldn't get much better. Once he told her the truth he was confident she'd understand and accept him for what he was. She
had
to. He wouldn't allow himself to harbour negative thoughts about it.

Less than half an hour passed before he found his mobile phone was ringing. Who'd be calling him this early on a Sunday morning? It was the limo driver.

"Nigel?" the limo driver asked.

"Yes?" he responded.

"This is Frankie."

"Is everything alright with Lacey? Did she get home safely?" Panic began to rise up in his throat, nearly choking him.

"I'm sorry, sir. I didn't mean to alarm you. She's fine. But Travis had mentioned that we were to be on the lookout for Joseph and if we saw him, to report back to Travis or yourself immediately."

"Alright. Yes. So have you seen him?" Nigel was now perched on the edge of his seat in anticipation. What was Joseph up to?

"When I was dropping your lady friend off, I could have sworn I saw him in the window of a third floor apartment."

Lacey!
For some reason the bastard was after her. Maybe, to get back at Nigel for stealing her away from him? No, that didn't make sense. He didn't know and didn't care.

All he knew was that he needed to get to her now! Grabbing a pen and paper he said urgently, "Okay. Thank you, Frankie. I need you to give me her address and apartment number."

Chapter 8

The wheels in Lacy's head were spinning a mile a minute as she unlocked her apartment door and stepped into the darkened room. How could she write an exposé on the club after everything that had transpired between her and Nigel these past couple of days? She would still love to have Nigel agree to an interview. An interview would be better than nothing. It would be more than any other reporter had gotten from him.

She'd tell him the truth about why she was at the club last night. She was sure he'd forgive her for her deceit. It wasn t like she d outright lied to him, she d simply failed to tell the full truth. That's forgivable, right? He'd never asked her profession. Her face flushed, reddened, she guessed, almost to the colour of her hair when she realized they hadn't spent much time talking at all!

"It's about time you came home, Lacey," A male voice, slightly familiar said coming from her living room.

Oh my god, someone is in my house!
She wanted to run, to scream, but she seemed to be rooted in the spot. Her voice seemed to desert her. All she could do was watch as the man from the bar last night - Joseph she thought his name was - rounded the corner which led to her living room and strode up to her, stopping a few short feet away.

He grinned at her. A wide grin which displayed two long fangs. He closed his eyes and, after a moment, reopened them. His brown eyes were replaced with blood red eyes, which seemed to glow.

Oh my god. Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck. That's the man from Friday night!
The man covered in blood who she had seen coming from the back door and running off when the security began to exit the building. She shuffled her feet backwards, trying to reach the door without him realizing what she was doing.

He was too fast for her. Joseph moved so quickly she hadn't even noticed he'd left his spot in front of her before she was being shoved into the living room and onto the floral print sofa.

"Now Lacey. Don't be rude. I just want to talk."

"Talk?" she asked hesitantly.

"Well, you're a reporter, correct?" He took a seat across from her in the matching armchair.

Lacey nodded.

"Well then, I have the story of the century for you."

Lacey didn't doubt that in the least. She wanted to run. Instinct told her to put as much distance between her and this intruder as possible. But his words rang out in her head:
story of the century
. They were enticing enough that the reporter in her refused to allow her to budge from the chair.

She leaned forward to grab the tape recorder on the coffee table, "Do you mind?"

Joseph snatched it away from her and tossed it against the wall. "No recording. Either you remember what I have to say or it's not printed."

Lacey didn't argue; knew better than to argue. She nodded and waited for him to begin.

"I'll have to start from the very beginning, I suppose. Club Vampire. Well people think it's a clever gimmick, playing on society s current obsession with vampires. It's not a gimmick. Vampires exist. I'm living proof of that."

Vampires?
The whole idea was pure craziness. But when she gave it some hard thought she determined there was no other way to explain what he was. There was no denying, when seeing him up close, that both the eyes and fangs were real. What other explanation could there be other than he was indeed a vampire?

"So you're dead and you drink human blood?" she visibly cringed with distaste at the thought of it.

Joseph gave her a nasty glare as he spat, "The thought of a vampire didn't seem to revolt you when you were fucking one all weekend."

Nigel?
He couldn't be... There was no possible way Nigel could be a vampire! But he felt cold to the touch. His whole body was unusually cool. How could she explain that? It didn't seem like a big deal until this moment.

The vampire across from her laughed heartily. "I guess you didn't see that one coming, did you?" He leaned over, bracing his elbows on his knees while eyeing her. "Do you want to know what
really
goes on in the VIP room?" he asked.

Lacey nodded.

"Vampires take humans back there for the occasional orgy and to feed from them. All kinds of wonderful things go on behind
that
closed door. If Nigel hadn't shown up last night and interrupted us, I would have been more than happy to demonstrate for you."

Before she could respond to him, he'd moved from the chair and seated himself next to her on the sofa. He trailed his index finger down the length of her neck. She resisted the urge to jerk away from his touch. Somehow she knew that if she were to dismiss his touch there would be consequences.

"All these so-called murders and disappearances that have been going on right under Nigel and his little crew's noses...well, want to hear a secret?"

Lacey nodded. Her mouth felt dry, and her pulse was racing so fast she was terrified she would have a heart attack before too long. Why was she still sitting here, listening to him?
Because you wouldn't be able to get away if you tried
, a voice told her.

"I committed the vast majority of them. Even Friday night, when you saw me sneak out the back. The humans and the vampire, those murders were mine."

"Why?" Lacey chocked out not being able to stop herself from asking. She was terrified and appalled; he seemed to be so cocky and proud of himself.

"Because I can. We're made to hunt humans Lacey, not mate with them. Nigel and the other vampires of his bloodline, have a distorted way of seeing the world." His hand moved to her chin. He cupped it in his hand, his thumb tracing her lower lip. "They see humans as equals. We're not equals, Lacey, not by a long shot."

"But why kill the other vampire?"

"I had nothing against that particular vampire. He just so happened to walk in on me draining the final of the three humans. He was about to run for security, but he didn't get very far."

Lacey looked anxiously towards the balcony. Did sunlight affect vampires or was that a myth? She was on the third floor. If she were to make it to the window and jump out...

No, she didn't care for that idea one little bit.

Joseph followed her eyes to the balcony and smiled, revealing his fangs once again.

They were much more imposing when they were just inches from her exposed neck. "I assume that since you were unaware of the fact Nigel is a vampire that he has not drunk from you...as of yet anyway?"

Lacey paused, then shook her head. No sense trying to lie to him. For some odd reason, she couldn't seem to lie to him if she tried. It was as if it wasn't possible to lie to him. So very strange.

The vampire chuckled, "I've been told that having a vampire drink from you while fucking can be a very euphoric experience. Never happened to me personally, I can't even remember my human years anymore, so it's just hearsay." Joseph tugged at the top button of her blouse, sending it flying across the room. "How about we try and you can let me know if it's true?"

Terror shot through Lacey, giving her the adrenalin-boost to break the hold he seemed to have on her. She leapt from the sofa and made a run for the front door. She only made it to the living room entry way before she felt strong arms grasp her waist from behind, lifting her up and tossing her back down on the sofa. The force by which he threw her down left her momentarily winded. Gasping for breath she attempted to squirm her way off the sofa and back onto her feet, but his body came crashing down onto hers before she could get even an inch from the spot where she d landed. His weight on her felt more like five hundred pounds than the two hundred she would have guessed he weighed Grasping a fist full of her hair, Joseph pulled her head back exposing her creamy, ivory flesh and sank his fangs deep into her neck.

Lacey screamed out as pain seared through her neck, vibrating all the way down her body to her toes. As suddenly as his fangs plunged into her neck they left, his body suddenly removed from hers. She flipped over onto her back to see what had happened.

It was Nigel!

He stood between her and Joseph. She glanced over at Joseph who had her blood dripping down the sides of his mouth and falling from his chin. He seemed to have completely forgotten about her. All of his attention was focused on Nigel.

"I told you she was mine!" Nigel snarled.

Lacey scrambled from the sofa, to hide behind the arm. It offered her no real security, but she felt safer ducking behind it anyway. She peered around the arm to watch the two combatants.

Joseph smirked back at Nigel and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, "She may have been yours, but I was the one that had a taste. And Nigel, she...tastes...divine."
