Taking another long look at the pair, Nina cracked a smile and gave them a short salute. “I’m sure we’ll meet again, Yin, Yang.”

Yin smiled at her, so soft, and so familiar. There was something so familiar about Yin, something itching at Nina’s brain. It was like a memory, but every time she tried to grasp it, it slipped through her fingers.

“A piece of advice, Nina,” Yin called out to her. “Trust your memories; they hold more than you know.”

Rolling her eyes at the vague statement, Nina turned and plunged head first into the mirror. She had no doubt there was more to what Yin had just told her, another layer over for another layer.

Focusing all her energy on passing through the mirror and getting back home, Nina almost missed Yang’s farewell: “See you later,
little boo
.”

Wide eyed, Nina turned in the mirror trying to look over her shoulder at Yang. But then the portal sucked her in, hurtling her through time and space, and she wondered if she was losing her mind, trapped in her own sick memories, or figuring everything out.

DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to two very special people, my mother and my editor.

Mom, despite tuning me out when I went on tangents about the story, you always came back to me and helped me think outside the box and create. You have been my biggest supporter, my driving force from the beginning, and I love you so much. Thank you for always being the best part of any day.

Matt, you have been a fantastic editor and friend. You've taught me so much about writing and honing my skills, but the biggest lesson you've taught me you is to believe in myself. I can sum it all up in one phrase you've taught me:
temet nosce.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Of course there are several other people I would like to thank, friends who have inspired me, and put up with me! Thank you Chass, Pumpernicole, and Kelly, for all the long nights and annoyingly long conversations in my room about Grim and Nina. If it wasn’t for your unending patience, ladies, I would have probably given up and thrown another dinner party.

I have to also thank my beta testers and friends: Nancy and Mary. Thank you ladies, you helped me tie everything together, and let me know I wasn’t giving too much away. I can’t thank you enough for your support and encouragement.

And last but not least, I have to thank my publisher, Max. You took a chance on me, and for that I will always be thankful.

And lastly, thank you to everyone who buys this book. You inspire me to keep writing, honing my skills and hopefully, you inspire me to finish the next one,
A Grim Love: Can't Fight Fate
.  So, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
