“Very definitely that
too,” he choked out.
She
gave him one long slow lick, and waited. “More?” she questioned.
He
nodded, his powers of speech lost. She continued
laving
him, tracing his rock hard slickness with her tongue and fingertips until he
visibly shuddered in ecstasy. She watched him in fascination, trailing her
fingertip through the silky liquid. “This is how babies are made Dare,” she
whispered softly. “Now I know everything.”
“No,”
he whispered, finally regaining his voice. “Not everything. Not yet.”
The
maid brought them food and some fresh water for bathing. Daizie sat with him in
front of the fire as the evening drew in, naked and happy, completely
unselfconscious. He felt his energy returning, as her gaze swept over him
completely unashamed.
“I’m
still hungry,” he said looking at her. She offered him her plate, he shook his
head, “No, not for that.” Her eyebrows shot up, as he gently laid her onto her
back, opened her legs and buried his face where he could taste her, flicking
his tongue between her swollen nether lips, and over her tender bud. She
grasped his hair, unable to believe the exquisite sensations he evoked in such
a manner, she screamed her release. Before she knew what he was about he had
rolled her over, she complied, she loved these new games he was teaching her,
raising her bottom he thrust into her from behind, feeling the fullness of him
deeply within as he moved, she moaned in delight, thrusting back against him.

Daizie
awakened to the thrumming of her skin and nether regions, she was exhausted,
the wedding and its...aftermath had taken a toll on both her senses and body but
her senses were calling to her, she opened her eyes and understood why. Dare
was stroking her into wakefulness, his fingertips tracing her nipples as they
peaked and pushed against his hands, it was as though an invisible string
connected them to her soft feminine core, she squirmed as he rolled over and
slid inside her. Thrusting deep and hard until she was not only fully awake but
crying out in ecstasy. Amazingly, they both dozed once again in the aftermath.
When next she awakened,
she was alone.
Chapter Four
Dare went downstairs to
find Wynne, the man had the audacity to look amused as he relaxed by the fire
in the lounge. It had been almost two full days since they had arrived at the
inn, but somehow he knew the man would still be here.
“Damn it all,
Dare
! If I could find one like that, I’d consider marriage
myself!” Wynne exclaimed. Dare merely grinned and put his booted feet up on the
ottoman. “Are you on your way to the estate or are you planning to take off
somewhere more private?”
“I need to see to
estate business.”
“If she lets you out of
your room long enough,” Wynne grinned, “Lucky dog!”
When
Dare returned to their room, Daizie was sitting in the window seat, staring
wistfully out over the landscape. She leaped to her feet the instant he entered
the room and flung
herself
into his arms. He kissed
her soundly as she wound herself around him. Suddenly he realized she was
unfastening his breeches! Her small hands slipping inside she freed him from
his confines and knelt at his feet
laving
him with
her tongue, until holding her head he gently schooled her in the motions he
wanted her to make. She happily complied until his body found its release.
Drawing her to her feet, he took her to the window seat, sliding his arms
around her from behind he encouraged her to raise one foot onto the seat, as
his hand delved under her skirt to the slit in her pantelletes and stroked her
to climax.
Daizie
slept in his arms on the way to the estate. When Wynne had offered to ride in
the carriage with them, he’d shaken his head, he didn’t doubt for an instant
that there would be a little love play between them on the journey and he’d
been right, and now exhausted she slept.
The staff of Wolverton
House, home of the Wolverton family for centuries, lined up to greet them as
they alighted from the coach. It was an imposing structure and suddenly he
wondered how his amorous young bride would fit in here. A shame he couldn’t
have simply had her as his courtesan, the unbidden thought slaked across his
fevered mind. She was like a child with a new toy, and he was the toy. He was
unsure if he liked that analogy or not. He was becoming her plaything, not vice
versa.
Daizie greeted the
staff prettily, and was taken on a very thorough tour of the house by his long
time housekeeper.
Daizie’s
rooms connected with his.
Puzzled by their sleeping arrangements she confronted him. “Why aren’t we
sharing a room like we did at the inn, Dare?”
“It isn’t done usually
Daizie,” he said gently. Flattered by her disappointment he added. “But you can
come to me anytime you want to.”
That appeared to
mollify her a little, but she still didn’t look too happy about the situation,
he mused.
***
He awaited her at the
bottom of the stairs at the dinner hour, disturbed when she smiled prettily at
the two footmen holding the door as they entered the dining room, and wondered
again if he would need to fire them. She happily engaged in conversation with
Wynne, their only guest over dinner, and then took Dare’s hint that she should
retire.
Mrs.
Davis the housekeeper attended her. Aware that she was young and newly married,
but not aware of their stay at the inn, she asked, “Is there anything you’d
like to discuss my dear, of an intimate nature before your husband joins you?”
When
Dare arrived at their rooms, it was to see Mrs. Davis flying out of there, her
cheeks a flaming beet red. She glared at him totally speechless and hurried off
down the hall fanning
herself
.
“What happened?”
“Mrs. Davis asked me to
discuss things of an intimate nature with her, so I did.”
Dare’s eyebrows shot up
to his hairline. Then he threw back his head and laughed. “Daizie, I don’t
think she was asking you to explain things to her, I think she wondered if you
needed any information yourself.” Dare suddenly remembered he had specifically
asked Mrs. Davis to be available to his young duchess when he brought her to
the estate. Poor woman!
“Oh! Well, a few days
ago that would have been very useful! Though I don’t think her description was
very accurate you know,” she added thoughtfully.
He rolled his eyes,
“What exactly did she tell you?”
“That I must lie very
still and endure your attentions. It’s a wife’s unpleasant duty…”
“A very flattering
attitude about her employer!” he muttered, wondering if he should get an
entirely new staff.
“So, I take it this
means not all men are as…skilled in the bedroom as you?”
He
tried not to preen. “No,” he answered honestly. Though knowing her as he did
now he quickly realized he should never have let his guard down.
“And where did you
acquire this experience?” she demanded.
“It is none of your
business!” he shot back.
“I think it is,” she
murmured. “After all, you wished to know about my footman.”
“It’s hardly the same
thing.”
“Perhaps
not,” she mused, scrutinizing him for a moment in a way that truly unnerved
him. “Would you like me to lick you all over tonight?” she asked slowly sipping
the glass of wine in her hand. He watched her lips, and instantly became hard.
Dare was stunned, when not
only did she proceed to assist him in undressing, but when she had him spread
eagled on the bed, she touched something cold and wet to his body. “What is
that?” he asked.
“A very delectable
lotion,” she whispered.
“It smells of peaches.”
“Yes, it tastes
delicious too.” She swiped her tongue across his navel, and slowly slipped
lower. He groaned in an agony of desire. Later taking the bottle of lotion from
her he turned it over in his hands.
“Where did you get
this?”
“I purchased it from
one of the maids at the inn.”
“You discussed sex with
them?” he shouted.
“You
were downstairs a very long time,” she stated matter-of-factly.
He ran a hand through
his hair. He wasn’t sure whether to be highly amused or worried. Had she no
sense? He wondered if he should employ a companion to keep an eye on her.
As well as firing the footmen and the
housekeeper?
A small inner voice taunted. His delight in all that they had
shared suddenly diminished a little.
“Perhaps you are not
aware that many of the maids at the Inn share their bodies for coin?” she asked
him, suddenly sounding far more knowledgeable than she ought.
“Yes, I am aware of
that,” he said warily, unnerved by the way she was watching him.
“Oh, I see. This is
something that you have partaken of?”
“Daizie!
This is not…”
“Not my concern?
And why not?”
“It
is unseemly for you to question your husband.”
“But
not unseemly for me to lick you from head to toe?”
“I did return the
favor,” he said with a grin hoping to divert the conversation.
“And very well too,”
she admitted.
“Thank you!” he
laughed.
Chapter Five
Dare stayed at the
estate for a full week. Mrs. Davis appeared to have recovered her equilibrium
somewhat, but allowed the senior housemaid to attend Daizie. He hired a
companion for her. A trustworthy gentlewoman, who would ensure she did not get
into any trouble. The footmen were reassigned to work in the grounds, and the
house contained only women.
“I am going to London
for a few days,” he announced.
“I would like to come with
you,” she suggested hopefully.
“Not on this trip,” he
answered, sorry to see the hopeful light in her eyes dim a little. She had to
settle into her new life sometime, he sighed. His initial plan had simply been
to acquire a wife, get a child on her and return to his normal day to day life
in London. He hadn’t counted on a wife like Daizie.
“Very well, perhaps
next time?”
He nodded and leapt
astride his horse and galloped away with Wynne.
***
Dare
could not escape the uneasy feeling that someone was watching him, everywhere
he went. But whenever he turned he saw no one. He completed his business in
London and was relieved when he could return to his estate and Daizie, this
time, alone. Wynne was staying behind. His body ached with longing for her. He was
lucky, Wynne had told him on the night before he left, he had his own little
courtesan right there in his bed at the estate, what did he need a mistress
for? Wynne was right. But it wasn’t just in physical ways he missed her he was
surprised to realize. She was sweet and playful, and yet becoming quickly
sophisticated in the bedroom. He could make a life with Daizie even though he
might have to rein in a little of her unconventional behavior, with Daizie in
his arms, he could be truly happy.
He was disturbed to
enter the great hall to find the footmen once again at their posts. His blood
began to boil. He ran up the stairs, flinging open the door to her room. She
sat beside the fire, her companion beside her, reading. She was
uncharacteristically dressed in a high-necked gown of red velvet trimmed with
ermine, her cape sat beside her. Was she going out?
“What is the meaning of
this?” he bellowed.
“Of what, husband?” she
asked quietly, her tone subdued.
She had never spoken to
him this way before. Something odd was going on here. “The footmen, I sent them
to work on the estate, I didn’t want you around them…” he admitted.
“Jealous?” she asked
coldly.
“Yes,” he admitted
frankly. “Your judgment is not sound where men are concerned.”
“You are correct, it is
not,” she admitted meaningfully, staring boldly at him. “That is why I am
leaving. I appear to have misjudged you completely. Did you enjoy your visit
with your mistress?”
“How did you know…what
do you mean you are leaving?”
“I
had you followed. I am leaving you. I have decided to go to London by myself.”
“I won’t allow it!” He
felt that they were having two conversations at the same time. “Why-how did you
have me followed?
And by whom?”
“I paid one of the
footmen to follow you Dare, he was afraid he might be about to lose his job. He
needed the money.”
“How much do you know?”
“I
know that you visited your mistress!
From my bed to hers?
I won’t have it!”
“Oh, you won’t?” he
asked quietly. “And yet you brought all five footmen back into my house against
my wishes.”
