The TTA international meeting was about to start soon.

Goodwill didn't cancel negotiations immediately after the party, which surprised me. The fact was advantageous to us, yet suspicious. I had expected them to leave right after. Instead, Director Goodwill acted as if nothing had happened at all. I figured that he was a shrewd businessman who didn’t let personal life get in his way, and pursued the discussion, despite us beating up his son before.

I arrived to the office with the twins an hour earlier this morning, so we could get all the documents readied.

"How is it?" I asked Riley, who was running through some papers.

He furrowed his brows. "Good, seemingly. We're giving them tons of favors. They can't turn our offer down. I'm just not sure."

"Not sure about?"

"Wesley. He's following his father today, and actually has five percent of TTA's shares. He can vote on their decision, and we all know he has a personal agenda. And his father has a fifty percent stake. His decision will sway the rest of their board."

I sighed. "That's problematic." Maybe I should have let him go and not kicked him—but after getting assaulted and nearly raped, letting the bastard run off with his shit-eating attitude pissed me off more than I could handle.

Riley brushed the back of his head. "It's okay. I hope. We can get another contractor to deal with our work if this fails. The deadline clauses are going to be a real pain the ass, though."

I gazed at the floorboard. "I'm sorry... I didn't... I shouldn’t have let myself go that much."

"Don't worry about it. Ryan probably would have done it himself anyway if you didn't hit him first. I know I would have if I were there."

I tried to console myself by telling myself that, but ultimately, the whole situation happened because of me. I was too careless to let myself fall into that scenario in the first place. Gingerly, I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and forced a smile. "Thanks."

"It's not your fault." He brought my hand to his face and kissed it. "Besides, we still don't know the outcome yet. Do you have the documents and proposals prepped?"

My hand fell to my side after he let it go. "All printed and filed."

"Good. Make sure each director has one copy. We have to try and not screw this up. We might still have a chance."

Riley walked to the corridor. I gathered the paperwork from his desk and scurried behind him. He was completely immersed in his business role, which was insanely sexy. I licked my lips—not certain whether it was because I was nervous about the upcoming meeting, or my inappropriate thoughts about Riley throwing me up against the nearest desk and having me on the spot.

None of the directors had arrived at the meeting room yet, but Ryan was there waiting for us. He sat with his legs crossed. He gave me a once over after we entered.

Whenever the twins were together, the electricity between the three of us increased tenfold. But we were on important business matters right now. There wasn't any time for my lewd imaginations.

"They were just at the lobby," Ryan said. “One of their assistants phoned me.”

The velvety texture of his voice soothed my nerves, if only slightly. I made a round over the oval-shaped, glass table, dropping a folder in front of each seat.  When I was done, I made a trip back to my desk to pick up my laptop. I acted as a scribe during each meeting, as well as an errand girl. For the most part, my job was to record each important detail, while running around and passing papers along. I thought it was easy at first, but it required a lot of multitasking skills.

The directors arrived about five minutes after we were prepared.

Most of them were old guys with bad haircuts, some of them bald. The only person who didn't have wrinkles and graying hair was Wesley Goodwill. He squinted his eyes at me the moment we exchanged stares. I narrowed my eyes back, envisioning the way he'd look curled up and crying for the second time.

"Discussions are in order," Riley said, gesturing to the chairs. "I hope you've enjoyed your refreshments at the lobby. Have your seats, gentlemen."

"The majority agrees then," Director Sakobi said. He was the other major shareholder of TTA international, though his stake wasn't as high as Director Goodwill’s.

I furiously typed away, trying to make sense of what just happened—Goodwill didn't vote against the offer.

Wesley, however, did, and appeared quite mad at his father's lack of support. "Why, dad? I thought you—"

"I'm glad we've come to an amicable conclusion, Ryan, Riley." Goodwill lifted himself off his chair to shake their hands.

The twins returned his gesture, pleased grins painting both their faces. I wondered if they were as perplexed as I was inside. Wesley probably didn't mean much to his shrewd father, then.

"When can we start?" Riley asked eagerly.

Sakobi raised his head. "As soon as possible, I presume. We'll inform our managers tomorrow."

"Good. That's great. Thank you."

"No, thank
you
for your wonderful offer."

My gaze darted back and forth as the two men conversed. The nice words they said sounded fake. Sakobi even guffawed loudly—the kind of obnoxious, fake, business laughter.

Wesley frowned. "I'm not happy with this."

"Deal with it, son," his father replied. "You twins were gracious hosts. Which reminds me, last night's party was phenomenal. I enjoyed it immensely."

"I enjoyed it, too," I murmured, absentmindedly, while remembering how I made a grown man cry.

Unfortunately, in our soundproof meeting room, sound echoed. My murmur was too loud. They all heard me. The room fell silent. A mere secretary shouldn't raise her voice like that. Wesley turned his head to me and scowled.

It was Sakobi who broke the awkward silence. "Well, I'm glad you did, Miss..."

"Miss Fontaine," I added.

"Ah, Fontaine. Good name. We should get going. The drivers have been waiting for a long time. Thank you again, Crawfords."

Ryan bowed his head. "Our pleasure."

As they exited, Wesley had himself transfixed on me. "I want to talk to her."

Goodwill pulled his elbow. "Your mother is waiting, son."

"She's probably shopping."

"I will be angry if you don't stop your fucking whining and moping."

"Screw you, dad. I don't care about whatever the hell—"

"WESLEY!"

I swallowed. Riley and Ryan were shocked, too. I hadn't expected Goodwill to blow up like that. His face had literally turned a reddish shade, and his fist was poised to hit someone.

Goodwill spun over and smiled at my bosses. "Sorry about that. My son tends to get out of line sometimes."

"Don't mention it," Ryan said.

"Goodbye."

The glass door shut itself after Goodwill left it hanging open.

I stroked my chin with my fingers. "Maybe that's why he ended up so wimpy."

Ryan clicked his tongue against his teeth. "Forget about him." A stray hand made its way to the insides of my skirt.

"What are you doing?" The walls were glass. "People can see us." I could see one of my colleague's heads bobbing behind one of the desks.

"Your shirt wasn't buttoned high enough during the meeting. I was getting hard looking at your chest."

I looked at his groin—he really was sporting a hard-on. "Stop, Ryan, this isn't appropriate."

"Fine." His fingers slipped away right when they brushed my bare pussy. I withheld a frustrated growl. "Come with us to our office."

I couldn't ignore their sultry, one hundred percent sexy expressions. My center soaking and getting wetter as I followed, I made my way to their office.

Riley shut the door and stalked to us.

Ryan was already pouncing on me, sweeping the stationery off the desks and positioning himself between my parted legs. "You're so damn fucking hot."

I buried my fingers into his hair and forced him down. "Shut up and kiss me."

"So damn fucking hot."

As Ryan's mouth assaulted mine, Riley trailed light kisses down my neck. It seemed quite impossible that a woman could come from just grinding and making out alone, but if anyone could make a woman do it, it was these two twins.

"I love you, Scarlet," Ryan said.

"We do," Riley added.

My breasts lifted and fell as I tried to catch a breath. "You two... you're absolutely driving me crazy."

We continued making out, until Riley suddenly stopped. The separation of his lips from the curve of my neck left it cold. I was about to ask what was the matter when he said, "Brother, what is this?"

Ryan lazily dragged his mouth away from mine. "What is what?"

"This." He reached over me and picked something up. I couldn't look at it from the position Ryan kept me in.

They were pieces of paper. Photographs, probably, judging from the faint view of colored ink I caught as Ryan faced their the back sides of the paper to me.

His brows furrowed and he stepped back, letting my legs fall limp over the desk. "No." The word was a mere whisper. Something horrible was definitely up.

I sat up and crossed my legs. "Why are the both of you freaking out? Say something."

"Something?” Riley spitted softly.. "You're a fucking liar and a cheat, that's what.”

"What? I do not appreciate having false accusations being thrown at my—"

"Look for yourself." He threw the papers onto my lap. Cautiously, I picked them up. I cursed out loud or perhaps inside—I was too confused to notice. The photographs were images of me with Director Goodwill and Wesley. The first one looked fairly innocent. I was standing at the hotel lobby. But the rest that followed were horrifically racy. I was made to look as if I was up against the wall, having Wesley’s father between my legs. Frantically, I flipped through the photos, worry and rage gushing through my head. None of this had happened.

I breathed heavily. "I don't remember any of this."

Riley snatched the photographs away. "Of course you don't. You won't admit to this."

Did they have so little faith in me? I thought they both professed their love just a short five minutes ago. "Riley, Ryan, please. I didn't do anything. Won't you believe me?"

"I want to, Scarlet," Ryan said. "Right now I'm running through all the reasons that would make this false. Even if it happened, I want to forgive you. Was this why Wesley was on you the other day? Is this it? Because you slept with him before?" He leaned against a wall and covered his eyes. "The evidence, it's right here in front of our eyes."

"Were you drugged, Scarlet?" Riley asked. "Do you remember?"

"No! Nothing like that happened. I'll agree to the first photo, but just that. I sent them to the hotel after they landed, but I left right after. I didn't drink anything."

He dropped the photos onto the desk and turned his back to me. "Please don't lie to us like that."

"I'm not lying! Please, please, please, just trust me." I felt desperate. All I had to count on was their trust. They weren't wrong—the photos looked like irrefutable evidence.

Riley shook his head. "I'm trying to. Really. Give us some time to think. I'll ask Tyrone to wait for you at the lobby."

"You're sending me away? No, we have to talk this over. We can't ignore it like this—"

"We need time."

I stood in the middle of the room, shell-shocked. I tried to think of something to say and help redeem myself. Apparently, blatant trust wasn't enough. "Don't you love me?" I squeaked.

No answer.

Fighting back tears, I made my way to the exit. Just yesterday, we were in the happiest relationship imaginable.

As I walked out, I heard a frustrated roar and the sound of something getting knocked over. Stunned, I turned around. It was Ryan knocking down a chair.

Riley stared at me with his sad, green eyes. "We do."
