I love hearing from my readers.

Please, say hello!

It finally hit her when she looked up to see an old man’s naked butt,
moving slow and languid past Katie and her best friend Serena as they waited to
check in to the resort.

“Oh my God, Serena,” Katie giggled, unable to restrain herself
despite her best efforts.

The old man’s skin was leathered, almost reddish, and he carried a blank
white towel under one arm and what must have been a bottle of Jack Daniels in
the other.

From the looks of things, he
was headed to the resort pool, quite long past the need for sunscreen.

“He should really put that towel on, right?” Serena whispered in return,
a conspiratorial smile on her face.

Katie blushed a bit at the sight.

Serena
had said the resort here—Punta Hermosa, they called it—
was
adults only.

Now she was getting an
eyeful of what that actually
meant
.

At first she thought it was merely that
children weren’t allowed.

And the couple
in front of them certainly didn’t have any children with them.

Frankly, the thought of a week without kids around had sounded splendid
by any measure to Katie.

Her part-time
job at the UC campus day care was trying enough, but for some reason the kids
had found an extra burst of energy
right
during finals week.

Somehow she’d
survived, but only just.

Serena was a little taller than Katie, and liked to wear her long blonde
hair down around her neck instead of tied up like Katie’s.

She was a tall enough girl to make the
basketball team if she had wanted to, but not tall enough to be really
pressured to.

Hmmph
.

Katie had always been a little self-conscious
about her thin, almost waifish body, and envied Serena’s sexy figure.

Particularly her breasts.

They seemed as though they caught enough
attention on their own, after all.

Everything
Serena was, Katie wasn’t.

Katie was
short and slender, with narrow hips and small breasts and shoulder length dark
brown hair that she wore up in a pony tail.

At least she had a cute butt.

“Senoritas?”

The voice came from behind the check-in desk from a short, round little
Mexican lady with a huge smile.

She was
middle-aged at least, dressed as contemporary a style as a woman of her age
could manage, and sported a very un-
Marilynesque
mole
in what would otherwise be the perfect spot for it.

“You check in?”

The previous couple at the desk had left by now, and Serena hurried up to
the front.

“Si, senorita,” she said, her
Spanish halting and unfamiliar to her tongue.

“My name is… mi
..
mi
nombre
es
Serena.”

“English ok, I understand,” the lady said, her fat cheeks widening into
an even bigger smile, and clacked the keys on the old, worn-looking keyboard at
her desk.

“Serena, and
what your last name?”

“My last name is Ferris.

Serena
Ferris.”

Clack-clack.

“Ah
yes.

Serena Ferris.

I see you here.

You have one king bed, yes?”

Katie shot a glance over at Serena.

“We booked two beds, I think?”

The little round lady’s thick brow knotted and she typed some more.

“No, I have for one bed.

Is ok?

Is only room left
today.

I cannot give two
bed
.”

“Did you book it wrong?” Katie asked Serena, puzzled.

If it was one thing to be at a
clothing-optional resort, it was quite another to share a bed at one!

“I didn’t think so,” Serena said, and pulled out the sheet of paper with
booking instructions they’d printed on her dad’s computer.

“See?

It’s… oh.

One.”

“Is booked one bed.

Is okay?

I check when one become free and let you know.

Is only small charge to
change.

“Actually, it’s…
it’s
ok,” Katie blurted
out.

“We’re best friends.”

Well,
that sounded weird.

“Yeah,” Serena added sheepishly.

“Sorry, I clicked the wrong button.”

“No problem.

I see you already pay
on your card.

Please to give me
card.

And I need to see ID.”

She reached up her impossibly short arm, and Serena
handed over her card and California state driver’s license.

“Driver’s license,” Serena prompted, as if to remind Katie about her fake
ID.

Well
yes, I wasn’t going to give her my passport.

I’m only nineteen.

The resort
was strictly twenty-one and up, which wasn’t so bad considering that they would
never find out that she was too young to be here.

And Serena had just turned twenty-one, so she
was fine.

Katie handed the driver’s license to the little lady.

“I actually am an adult,” she had protested
initially to Serena, as they packed their overstuffed suitcases back home in
San Diego over celery sticks and peanut butter.

“I won’t need it.”

But the fake driver’s license would have to come along for the ride, even
if it meant making Kyle Peterson turn around halfway to the airport because
Katie had forgotten it.

Oh, Kyle,
Katie mused as she
remembered that funny scene.

What you wouldn’t do for Serena.

The memory was funny enough to
momentarily suppress the usual fear of discovery that went along with using a
fake ID, at least temporarily.

But hey,
this one was good enough to fool the bouncer at Porter’s Pub back home.

At
least I think it fooled him anyway.

“Okay, Katie Jacob, everything is good, here you go,” the old woman said,
handing the ID back to Katie without more than a cursory glance at it.

It’s
Katie Jacobs, thank you.

“Here
are room
key, here are towel,” she said, placing several of each
on the desk.

“And remember, must wear
clothes in restaurant and in bar.”

Strict rules here,
Katie mused
as she pondered that.

“And everything
else?”

“You will see.

Is
normal here.

Very
busy season.

You lucky you got
room.

There was cancel at last
minute.”

Her jowls wiggled a bit as she
said the words, and again Katie wanted to laugh, imagining this old lady
walking around in the buff.

This time
she suppressed the urge, but only barely.

“Thank you,” Serena said, taking all of the towels under her arm.

“And what is your name?”

“My name is Alessandra.

Nice to meet.”

“Oh, where are you from?” Serena asked.

“That is not a Mexican name, is it?”

The little old lady beamed.

“I am
from Guatemala, land of many trees.

Mexico my opportunity.

Found nice man and marry him.”

“Oh, congratulations!”
Serena smiled

“Then I divorce him and start business here,” she added with an even
bigger smile.

“Now I am happy.

Everyone naked and nobody care.”

Katie’s mouth dropped open in surprise, and this time neither
her
nor Serena could help but laugh out loud.

“What should I wear?” Serena asked, holding up a flimsy white sundress in
one hand and an even less modest sheer wrap.

“We won’t be wearing anything at the spa,” Katie responded, looking up
from her
iPhone
.

“Just wear the sundress and bring your bikini.

If we wait too much longer we’ll be late for
the appointment.”

“Fine,” Serena said, and folded up the wrap and stuffed it back into her
suitcase before heading into their room’s bathroom to change.

A quick stop in the room to drop their suitcases off had turned into an impromptu
fashion exhibit, but it was more of Serena’s usual indecisiveness on trivial
matters than of any real decision making that had to be done.

And there were decisions she had to make,
after all.

Decisions like what to tell
Kyle about the resort they were at, or whether to respond to his
Facebook
request in the first place.

After all, they’d only met in the car on the
way to the airport, and he was obviously crushing all over Serena while she was
around.

Decisions,
decisions.

“Kyle would go totally crazy if he knew that you could walk around naked
here,” Katie yelled out to Serena.

“Do you think he’d ever put any clothes on at all?” Serena laughed as she
came out wearing the sundress.

The blue
straps of her bikini top showed from under the wide neck, and the shape and
color of the bikini was visible through the thin fabric.

Pff
.

I’d make him if you didn’t.”

Katie was long past having to admit that Serena had a nice body.

In fact, she’d always thought Serena was her
prettiest friend, even when some of her other friends seemed to get a bit more
attention from the boys growing up.

But
lately things seemed to have come around for her too.

And while Serena never seemed to end up with
the athletic and hunky guys that seemed to go after Katie, Katie certainly
noticed very swiftly how
nice
most of
those guys treated Serena whether she was interested in them or not.

Especially Kyle.

But Kyle wasn’t as hot as Chad had been, that’s for sure.

Katie felt so little around him.

He was the second biggest star on the
university rugby team, and definitely the best player.

Or maybe he was the best player, and the second
biggest star on the team, or maybe just a player.

Who
knew.

Either way, he was definitely something.

Katie had only dated him for a little while,
but every once in awhile she wished things had worked out.

“Hey.

Earth to
Katie.

Let’s go.”

Katie snapped out of whatever spell she’d been floating in.

“Right, sorry, was thinking about something.”

“Oh God, Serena.”

Katie took a long and deep breath, smelling
deeply the coconut oil and fragrance of the spa, against the rush of the sea
air blowing in.

She lay prone on the
massage table, naked with a towel narrowly folded over her butt, her eyes
closed against the warm bright light that penetrated her eyelids.

“I know.

I’m not moving for
forever.”

Serena’s voice came muffled
through her own towel.

Her face was
buried directly into the cloth.

“That was
good.

“I know.

Punta Hermosa’s massage table overlooked the Pacific Ocean, and the sand
and sound of waves was an entirely unexpected—and welcome—wrinkle to the usual
pleasantness of a massage.

The staff had
been skilled and pleasant, if not particularly hot.

The smell of vanilla lingered in the air, and
each new breath sent thrills down Katie’s spine.

“I love vanilla,” Katie added, almost rhetorically.

“I hope you don’t mind sharing a bed,” Serena said apologetically.

“I booked it wrong.”

“We’ve shared beds before.

It’s no
big deal.”

“Yeah, a long time ago,” Serena added.

“Actually, it was at your fifteenth birthday party, right?”

“Well, it wasn’t much of a party, just you and me.”

“And cake.

That makes three,”
Serena declared.

German chocolate
cake with coconut-infused frosting.

That’s what she had wanted for her birthday, so Katie had to make it
herself.

Good thing she’d taken Home
Ec
in seventh grade, or that cake would have lit on
fire.

“Close enough for me.

Anyway, the
room is okay.

I guess if we’d have
insisted on a two-bed room, we’d never get to stay at all.”

“I did
kinda
forget about booking until last
minute.”

“You’re such a ditz,” Katie laughed.

“Don’t judge me!” Serena cried out in mock indignation, reaching to push
Katie’s table over, and succeeding in only gently rocking both of their tables at
once.

“Hey!” Katie squealed, holding on for dear life.

“Hey what.

Let’s go to the beach,” Serena said, picking herself up off the table to
reveal her gently curved breasts.

They were stunning.

Perfectly
rounded, perfectly sized.

Her nipples
were a little larger than Katie’s, too, and drew to a lovely little point,
surrounded by a dark areola.

Katie liked
the way they gleamed with the coconut oil.

I can’t remember the last time I
saw Serena completely naked
, Katie instantly realized.

Had it been gym class in ninth grade?

Before that?

No, she had never had gym class with Serena,
come to think of it.

How long has it been?

She looked different now, however long it had been.

The slender, stick-figured girl of their
adolescence had blossomed into early womanhood before they had graduated high
school.

Katie had been jealous back
then, of her tall and beautiful friend that had all the right curves right
where they belonged.

But she had not
seen so much of her as she had now, not for a long time.

“Hey, don’t look,” Serena taunted as she sat up, covering up her breasts
with her arms.

“I’m ever so modest.”

Her hips lay uncovered, and Katie could not
help but sneak a glance at the bare space between Serena’s legs.

“I think I’ve seen those before,” Katie said with a grin, but her gaze
lingered on Serena as she drew her towel over herself to cover up.
