Taking a deep breath, Geri said, “By introducing paper and plastic money, the Secret Society of the Nine Unknown men on earth are slowly taking away all the gold that was once upon a time distributed by them. Paper does the job, and so for the past few hundreds of years, they are taking away all the gold available on earth. One such large stockpiles of gold was recently discovered under a place of worship in South India. Right?”

“Right. We won’t steal from anywhere on earth for that would be ‘stealing’. If we stole from Shambala, it would be ‘borrowing’. Let’s get that straight, please”, I said for we weren’t thieves, we were bounty hunters.

“The gold belongs to Shambala, not earth. That would still amount to stealing, Chief. The Nine Unknown know how to produce it and use it wisely for scientific use. Not to wear as ornaments, for God’s sake! You still don’t get what I’m trying to say, do you? You’re thick!” said Geri, throwing up her arms in exasperation.

“I don’t get it. You know we’re after their gold, so we take away some gold from the Nine Unknown. What the hell are you leading to?” I said, my exasperation getting the better of me.

It was clear that Geri didn’t want us to take the gold from the Nine Unknown. She probably had a better idea. She wanted us to do something else but she wasn’t coming to the point.

CHAPTER EIGHT

Roses are red and violets are blue,

Her horrific past will surely shock you;

Trapped in a limbo, they long to be set free,

A tornado of souls, he would just not let them be;

She wept in silence knowing it was him,

She could care no more, survival chances were slim;

The more she learnt, the more it hurt,

Trapped in an urn of clay, when they should’ve mixed with dirt;

His greed was unending, his cruelty had no end,

Trapped in the circle of light, she just couldn’t comprehend;

She was hopelessly in love; she’d found the perfect mate,

Deep inside her heart she knew love walked in a little too late;

She was too far gone; she was left with no choice,

She had herself to blame, she chose to listen to her inner voice;

She knew it was not his fault, but she couldn’t let it go,

She couldn’t help herself from oscillating between high & low;

But it happened; no one was to blame,

Men, she said to herself, they’re all the same;

But if smiles and Imagination makes you say ‘Cheese’

Collaborators of the Nine Unknown on Earth:

“Whatever, before you tell us about the books, I have a question for you. What is the purpose of the Nine Unknown today on earth? Why can’t they stay put where they are?” said Hound as he munched on a cold salad.

Geri narrowed her brows and leaned towards Hound and spoke, “It is said that Yesrin, one of Louis Pasteur’s collaborators belonged to this secret society. With the help of the Nine Unknown from Shambala, he passed on certain biological secrets to Pasteur to help him discover a serum to fight plague and save mankind. Yesrin had visited Madras in 1890, after which the serum against cholera was introduced to the world. Following the edicts of Emperor Ashoka, their objective of this secret society is to do good for mankind”.

“OK, so the secret society exists on earth. Any proof? You have names?” quizzed Hound, looking her straight in the eye.

“It is said that Jagdish Chandra Bose, Vikram Sarabhai, Marconi, Galileo, Picasso, Graham Bell, owners and CEOs of many powerful organizations along with many other eminent personalities of today belong to this secret society of the Nine Unknown. They are and were highly evolved beings working to take mankind to the next level of evolution. They are in contact with the Nine Unknown from Shambala, the lost city of gold”, replied Geri.

She knew she had us by the balls with those names. It shook me up completely as I continued to work on the list in my mind. Could it be possible that these powerful men from Social Media, Telecommunications, banks and defense establishments are part of this secret society?

Nine Unknown for greater good:

“Did Monica share with you anything about our dream, Geri?” I asked, wanting to test how much she knew about us.

“Yes and no, Chief. That aside, the reason for their allegiance to mankind is because the Nine Unknown who evolved into greater beings now rule Shambala, under Emperor Ashoka, who is the master of them all. Or so seem to point in that direction, the scriptures from 99 Palms, from what Monica chose to share with me. Their stooges on earth, who form the secret society of the Nine Unknown men, are neither malevolent nor benevolent. They have watched civilizations evolve. They merely take telepathic messages and act upon them. Similar to your dreams, I would dare say, which are telepathic signals from the Nine Unknown from Shambala. I have read your case file…” replied Geri, trying to suppress a smile.

“Good Lord, there is a case file about us? Who made it?” blurted out Hound, unable to hide his surprise. We all were.

“I’ve got news for you. Right from the time you met Dr. Natalie Jackson, Monica or myself, we are recording everything that you say. We want you to succeed. You know why? Each one of us wants a share of the booty. Monica gave you her ask, I’ll tell you mine later. Information doesn’t come cheap, you see?” quipped Geri, twiddling her thumbs.

Derek laughed out loud as I could see Goose trying to hold back his shock. Was Monica playing him? Everyone was out for a piece of the pie for they knew we could pull it off, I guess. Wow!

Geri brought us back to the topic as she said, “Anyways, Watching from Shambala, the Nine Unknown are in pursuit of greater good, for an evolved race. And you morons are after their gold? How much can you imagine? Just how big is your thought?”

No one said a word as she went on rambling, “Each of these Nine Unknown men are supposedly improving a single book. Each book contains all wisdom in one of the potentially dangerous fields of science. These books are hidden not on earth, but in Shambala. These books are constantly being rewritten and advanced by highly intelligent people, who are specialists in their fields. They are scientists, doctors, lawyers, engineers and inventors.  Their knowledge is being continuously transmitted to the Nine Unknown in Shambala, following a hierarchy”

Secret sciences of the Nine Unknown – Nine sciences, Nine Books:

“OK, since this is not charity, we need information about what is contained in the Nine Books, Geri, tell us all”, said Derek as a matter-of-factly.

“OK. Every Individual book in one of the nine fields amount to hundreds of thousands of books for they contain pure science. Every single book alone would probably need a cupboard the size of the Empire State Buildings in New York”, said Geri, looking around at four blockheads who seemed to be pounded by information.

Getting no response from us, she fished out a piece of paper from her pocket and said, “Here, take a look at this sheet of paper, here’s a list of the nine fields on which the books supposedly exist. It is evident from this that the scriptures of 99 Palms have been very useful”

I took the paper, put it on the table as we huddled together to read what was written on it.

Book 1 - Propaganda and Psychological warfare:
The most dangerous of all means of warfare which we see taking place today. It contains the secrets of influencing thought, opinion and behavior. The power of Social Media, Mobile Phones and Internet are some such examples. If this knowledge falls in the wrong hands, one has the power to topple governments and incite wars.

Book 2 - Physiology:
The dark secrets in this book contain the knowledge of inflicting pain on someone or killing someone without physically touching the person. Judo is one such example.

This book contains the knowledge of the mechanical, physical, and biochemical functions of all living organisms.

Book 3 - Microbiology:
  This is a book that contains the knowledge around biotechnology and protective colloids. Just like the water of Ganges has healing powers, the secrets of which are still unknown, this field has extremely dangerous applications.

Book 4 – Alchemy:
  The book contains all the knowledge about the transmutation of metals from one form to the other. For ages, people have been unsuccessfully trying to turn baser metals into gold. This book contains the secrets of this science that makes it possible.

Book 5 – Communication:
This book contains the knowledge of communicating with UFOs and aliens. One such applicability of the same is telepathy, which the Nine Unknown use as the standard mode of communication with their stooges on earth.

Book 6 – Gravitation:
This book contains the knowledge of levitation and anti-gravity. It is this science, known as
‘Vimaanashastra’
that helped make flying objects and chariots in ancient India.

Book 7 – Cosmology:
This book contains the knowledge of enabling time and space travel possible for all humans. One such application of this science was seen in
‘Horn OK Please – Pobody’s Nerfect’.

Book 8 – Light:
  This book contains the secrets of manipulating the properties of light to use for energy transmission. This science deals with bending beams of light to increase or decrease the concentration of light to be used as weapons or for peaceful purposes. Chirality is one such application that changes the direction of energy movement with light.

Book 9 – Sociology:
This book deals with the knowledge of causing and predicting the evolution of civilizations and societies. The dark application of this science includes the manipulation of rise and fall of empires.

So this is what the Nine Unknown were all about. This is what the 99 Palms led to, the secret Society formed by Emperor Ashoka. This is what the Major Rock Edicts of King Ashoka led to when he tried his best to make the world a better place after he did his bit of messing it up. This was the secret that was hidden in Shambala along with all that gold. No wonder Shambala was the lost city of gold, the lost world of the evolved minds. It was the next level of pure science and consciousness. Wealth was but a necessity to control mankind.

Gatekeepers of Shambala:

Knowing that we now knew what we were up against in our quest for the lost city of Shambala, Geri leaned back on her chair and said dreamily, “Since these books contain limitless knowledge that can potentially alter the fate of humanity, Emperor Ashoka chose to form the secret society of the Nine Unknown soon after the Kalinga war!” Geri, helped herself to a sip of chilled beer from her mug.

“Now you know why the Great Emperor Ashoka is so revered? If such knowledge falls in wrong hands, destruction will be absolute. A case in point is Adolf Hitler, who was after these nine books, supposedly knew about the existence of Shambala. He is said to have dabbled heavily in theology. He also tried to abuse the power of the
Swastika
symbol, which is a source of boundless energy”, said Geri as Derek looked at her with longing eyes. Her intelligence and wisdom were powerful attractions to him.

Geri had a point. She was a highly qualified astronomer after all. She had a purpose. I mean, who else would be spending so much time far away in the monuments of Sanchi, Madhya Pradesh drinking beer with four of us who wanted to know about a secret society? What was the reason?

“So what is it that you want us to do, Geri, you know fully well where we are. What are we to do? Why do you continue to evade the topic of us stealing from them?” I asked, knowing that she had us cornered with her knowledge and she was after something. She hadn’t told us what she wanted us to know.

Trying to swat a mosquito that seemed to be bothering her pretty arm she said, “Unlike you people, the stooges of the Nine Unknown on earth who form the secret society are extremely intelligent and evolved individuals whose intellectual quotient is way above a few multiples of 69. So you better prepare well to face them. Secrecy is prime and nothing comes for free. Everything comes for a fee”

“Yeah, yeah. We got that. High time you came to the point, Geri, what is it that we must know?” said Goose, irritation showing in his voice.

“The Nine Unknown are after the greater good of mankind, so they are neither malevolent nor benevolent. They have dedicated their lives in pursuit of these sciences and are in pursuit of Shambala. Unlike you, they have evolved in the spheres of ‘Inner’, ‘Outer’ and ‘Alternative’ concepts and are bound to evolve to Shambala, the lost city of gold, not die…” Geri said, looking away from us. She seemed to be lost in some world.

The Philosopher’s Stone:

“Geri, enough beating around the bush now, tell us what we must do and tell us what you want in return”, I said bluntly now knowing how to get the secret out of her pretty French mind which seemed to hold all sorts of thoughts.

Taking a deep breath, Geri replied in exasperation, “Please understand the reason why I’m coming down so hard on you. Anyways you’ve decided to risk your life for fame and riches. So what’s the point in trying to steal a piddly bit of gold, getting back and gloat about it? Why don’t you smarten up? Your idea of stealing gold from Shambala will not work!”

“OK, then what will work? Only you seem to know.” quizzed Hound, trying to make Geri feel important.

Geri looked at Hound sympathetically and said, “Hound, You need to use the power of knowledge to get rich. Dive deeper into what I said about the sciences. If the Nine Unknown wish to use their knowledge and wealth for the betterment of mankind, they will be ruthless to you intruders to Shambala when you try to steal from them, right? I don’t want you folks to die in vain. You may be bounty hunters, but let’s face it, you are not smart!”

She seemed to be finally opening up so we let her take her time. She was a loner for sure. She meant well.

“OK, let’s consider the knowledge from one book of the Nine Unknown, say, Alchemy which is very apt in your case. You are bounty hunters who want to steal gold from Shambala. You can never carry that much gold that you seek for there is no end to greed. You’re no exception!” explained Geri as she seemed to get closer to the point. We kept quiet.

“See, Alchemy is one of the most fabled fields of science that the secret society guards with their lives. It is a way, a process of distilling water that can be used to prepare an elixir that you may want to use to convert water into ‘heavy water’. Ideally, you should master this science to convert sea water into potable water. But you won’t understand that in your pursuit of gold” she spoke as she rolled her eyes.

“This process is known as
‘Zone fusion’
. An application of the same has been seen in how transistors are created. The germanium and silicon used in the preparation of transistors is treated with just a wee bit of impurities to endow the substance with new and revolutionary properties. Right?” said Geri softly, knowing that she had no choice but to open up if she wanted her pound of flesh.
