“Come for me, baby, please,” he said through gritted teeth. From the corner of his eye, he caught Greg standing near the side of the bed, cock in hand, jerking off. Nick hadn’t even felt him get off the bed.

She hooked her legs around his, tucking her feet under his ass, and then she just let go. Her body tensed and tightened, relaxed, and then convulsed and shuddered as she showered him with her orgasm. It was the single best thing he’d ever felt in his entire life. It was so good he swore he was going to die from the pleasure.

“Oh my, God, Nick! I can’t—
” She writhed beneath him, her pussy milking his cock, making it extremely difficult to concentrate on not coming inside of her. That would be bad—very bad.

When he knew he couldn’t take another moment, he yanked out of her and c
ame all over her stomach. “Holy. Fuck.” He grunted as come spurted from his dick.

“Oh wow.” Brooke draped her arm over her face and laughed. “That was amazing.”

Nick wondered if she was talking about him specifically or the entire experience as a whole. And for the first time in his life, he realized he was too afraid to ask because only one answer would satisfy him; and he had a feeling that wasn’t the answer she would give.

CHAPTER 10

The drive back to Brooke’s dorm was silent. So was the walk up to her room. She had no idea what Nick was thinking about, b
ut she knew where her mind was—in that strange room having sex with two guys at the same time. She didn’t regret it. It was fun, but she was worried how Nick now perceived her. Of course, it had been his idea, but still. She really wanted Nick to like her, and she was afraid that after tonight, his opinion may have changed.

Brooke stopped in front of her door and sighed. “Shit.”

“What?” Nick asked.

“I forgot Jessica was bringing Kyle back here.” Brooke hooked her thumb toward the door, and as if on cue, Jessica moaned loudly.

Nick leaned against the wall, crossed his arms over his chest, and grinned. “That’s my boy, Kyle.”

Brooke shook her head. “Really?”

He shrugged. “What can I say? Gotta give him credit when it’s due.”

“Yeah, and it sounds like I’ll be sleeping on the couch in the lounge again.” Brooke tucked her key back into her pocket and turned away from her door. She was physically exhausted. Her alcohol buzz was gone, and the joint they’d smoked with Greg hadn’t done much for her other than calm her nerves.

“Hey.” Nick reached out and caught her arm as she walked past him. “Why don’t you come back to my room tonight?”

Her heart sped up and her breath caught in her throat. Nick was asking her to spend the night with him? In his room? To her knowledge that was unheard of for him to do. “Seriously?” she asked.

“Yeah, seriously.”

“I don’t know, Nick.” She pulled away from him. The idea of spending the whole night with him was so far beyond tempting it was a no-brainer. But if she did, what did that mean for them? She hadn’t changed her mind about not wanting a relationship.

“Come on, Brooke. It’ll be fun. I’ve got some E that we can take.” He pushed off the wall and stood in front of her, his hands on her hips.

It never ceased to amaze her how such a simple touch from him could set her on fire like she was right now. “E? As in ecstasy?”

“Yup. You haven’t had sex until you’ve done it on E, trust me.”

Brooke hesitated for a moment. She’d always wanted to try ecstasy. But of course because of her parents’ tight reigns, she’d never had the opportunity. Now she did, so why was she even standing here thinking about it? “Don’t people die from taking too much of that?”

“Yes, but we’ll share a pill. They’re small. It’ll be fine. Trust me.”

“Okay.”

Nick smiled. “You won’t regret this.”

***

Half an hour later, Brooke found herself sitting in Nick’s room, on his bed, naked. They’d both taken half a pill about ten minutes ago. As of right now, she didn’t feel a thing. Nick, also naked, sat across the room from her, devouring her with his eyes, smiling like the predatory animal that he was.

“So now what?” she asked.

“Just sit still. Don’t touch anything,” he instructed for what felt like the hundredth time.

“I feel stupid just sitting here.” She knew ecstasy was supposed to heighten the senses, especially touch, which is why Nick was adamant about not letting her touch anything. Still, she felt silly.

“You look gorgeous though.” He winked. She felt her entire body flush with warmth at his compliment. Then he stood, and her gaze was drawn to his erect cock, bobbing with delicious intent as he crossed the room toward her. He stopped in front of her. “Keep your hands in your lap, got it?”

“Mmm hmm.”

Slowly, Nick lowered his mouth to hers, and the second their lips touched, she felt electrified. It was like her mouth had sprouted millions of new nerve endings, and Nick’s tongue was licking over each and every one of them, sending her mind into an explosion of sensations she couldn’t comprehend. This kiss was like her very first kiss, only a thousand times better. When he pulled away, she whimpered in protest.

“Do you feel it?” he asked.

“Yes,” she whispered. “I want more, Nick. Please. I want you to touch me all over. I want to feel your lips on me. I want you to lick my pussy, finger me, make me come like you did earlier.” She was on her hands and knees now, begging him, unashamed like a bitch addicted to his cock.

Nick laughed and climbed onto the bed. He kneeled, and she turned to face him. With deliberate accuracy, Nick put his hands on her shoulders and dragged them down her arms. Brooke shuddered uncontr
ollably. She quivered, trembled. Hell, for all she knew, she could be having a full blown seizure and not be aware of it because all she could focus on was Nick’s touch; his warm palms, his deft fingers, his soft caresses.

“Too much touch and you’ll go into sensory overload,” he said removing his hands from her body. She groaned with frustration. “Then you’ll crash. Hard. And that’s not pleasant.”

“So I’m just supposed to sit here then? My skin feels like it’s on fire, Nick. Your touch makes it feel better.”

“I know.” Nick turned around and got a condom from the shelf above t
he bed. He lay flat on his back and put the condom on. Then he motioned for her. “Come sit on my cock, baby.”

She didn’t have to be told twice. Brooke crawled toward him, and then straddled him, easing down on his length as if she were an old pro at it. The feel of his cockhead stretching her pussy open, penetrating her delicate walls
, was unlike anything she’d ever experienced. Every tiny move, every single sensation was magnified by a billion. And it wasn’t enough. She needed him to be deeper, needed to feel more of him, all of him. Brooke lowered her body so that they were chest to chest, her hard nipples rubbing against his pecs.

“Easy, Brooke.” Nick grabbed her ass to still her, but it only caused her to jerk.

“Oh God!” He was right. Just the amount of skin to skin contact they had right now was enough to make her want to erupt into a tiny million pieces. Yet she felt herself pushing closer to him even though her good sense was telling her to pull away.

“Take it nice and slow, baby.” Nick guided her up and down on his cock. Slow. Easy. Controlled. “Yeah, that’s it. Just like that. Doesn’t that feel incredible, Brooke?”

“Yes,” she mumbled, covering his lips with hers. And that’s how they stayed for what seemed like hours; her riding his cock slowly, him squeezing and kneading her ass cheeks gently, their tongues dueling with each other in a lazy, erotic dance. Each time she tried to speed up, to fuck him harder and faster, he’d hold her still. It was frustrating at first, but she could see the benefit of going slow, prolonging the sensations, riding the ups and downs of the building pleasure.

Next thing she knew, Nick was moving her, rolling her onto her back so that she was now pinned beneath him. His strong body was over her, his hips working in the same slow, rhythmic manner they’d been moving in when she was on top. Brooke dragged her fingernails down his back, and Nick roared. It was a sound so raw, so guttural she was afraid she’d hurt him.

“Don’t do that again,” he said, his eyes dark as night. “Just let me fuck you, Brooke. Let me make you feel good, baby.”

She nodded, and settled her hands on his lean hips, giving up the struggle for control. Instead, she just let him
do whatever he wanted to her—which was simple, slow, missionary style sex. Odd how it was the best sex she’d ever had. All sense of time was lost to her, and soon, so was place. It was just her and Nick, their bodies moving as one, existing in a world all their own, a world created and sustained by their raging desires and insatiable needs. It was glorious, and she succumbed fully to it, to him, to Nick Benson—the guy who was stealing her heart piece by piece, the guy who would then shatter her into oblivion. But at the moment, she just couldn’t bring herself to care about any of that.

***

Nick yawned and stretched. His mouth was dry, and he felt lightheaded, a direct result of too much partying last night. He rolled onto his side, the memory of Brooke’s warm, naked body filled his mind, and he reached for her. But she wasn’t there. In fact, her side of the bed was cold, meaning she’d been gone for quite a while. Nick sat up and looked around. All of her things were gone, and she hadn’t left a note.

“Shit.” He sighed. Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, he hung his head in his hands. One by one, the things he said to her last night filtered through his mind.

I could stay here like this forever, Brooke, buried inside of you. Your naked body pressed against me. Your body is my personal heaven, baby. Mine. Not Greg’s. Not Dylan’s. Mine. I hated watching Dylan kiss you. I wanted to punch his pretty-boy face so bad, you have no idea. And watching Greg fuck you . . . I saw red, Brooke. Honest to God, I’ve never felt so much rage. The thought of another man touching you ever again, of you screaming someone’s name other than mine . . .

“Fuck.” He lifted his head, dragging his fingers through his hair as he did. Nick wanted to blame the alcohol, the pot, and the E, but he knew he couldn’t.
Every word he’d said to her last night was the truth. No wonder she took off, he thought.

He had to do some massive damage control. But h
ow? And what? He liked Brooke—a lot, apparently—and he wanted to keep seeing her. She’d been crystal clear about her feelings regarding a relationship, and he was fine with that. He wasn’t ready to settle down either. But he did want Brooke by his side. They made a good team, and the sex was so far beyond fantastic. Maybe he could go to her room and check on her, make sure she didn’t have any regrets about everything that happened last night? Then he could gauge her reaction; see if she remembered all the idiotic things he’d said. If he was lucky, she wouldn’t remember much of anything.

Nick stood, grabbed his towel, and wrapped it around his waist. He reached for the door, intent on taking a sh
ower before he went all stalker-like on Brooke, but Kyle breezed in before Nick managed to get out.

“Hey, man, you look like shit. Bad night?” Kyle said.

“No.” Nick rubbed his hands over his face. “Brooke and I got into the E last night. I think I’m still coming down.”

Kyle laughed. “Well, that explains it.”

“Explains what?” Nick asked, his voice filled with dread. He didn’t like the way Kyle had said that.

“Brooke’s attitude this morning. She came barging in, screaming at me to get my sorry ass out of her room. Worst timing ever, too, because I had the perfect morning wood. The kind that would’ve lasted for hours,” Kyle said.

“Get to the point, dude.”

“Right. She was all jittery and shit. It was obvious she was on something or coming down from something. Anyway, she said she needed to talk to Jess alone, and that last night was supposed to be the best of her life, and it was but then it wasn’t, then it was again.” Kyle waved his hands. “I don’t know. She stopped making sense, so I left.”

Nick flopped back down on his bed. This was so much worse than he expected, and he now knew that Brooke remembered every stupid word that had spilled from his mouth. Great. Now what was he supposed to do? There was only one clear answer: he had to make a clean break. No more Brooke no matter how badly he craved her. It was for the best, for both of them.

CHAPTER 11

“Do you want my advice?” Jessica asked once Brooke had finished telling her about everything that
had happened last night—in graphic detail.

“No.” Brooke sighed. She had a feeling she already knew what Jessica’s advice would be. “I don’t know. Yeah, I guess.”

“You need to ditch Nick.”

“What?
Are you crazy? I can’t do that!” Brooke looked at her friend, wide eyed. Deep down, Brooke knew there was some truth to what Jessica said.

“And why can’t you? You have been on two dates with this guy, Brooke, if that’s what you can call them. Both have led to sex and dangerous situations.”

“I’ve never been in any danger. Nick wouldn’t do that.” She began to pace the room, wondering why she was so hell bent on defending a guy she barely knew. Because she knew to her core that what she said was true. She’d seen that truth in Nick’s eyes when he promised her she’d be safe with him.

“No? So picking a fight with the biggest guy he can find isn’t putting you in danger? Convincing you to have sex with a total stranger is safe, too, right?
And drugs?” Jessica laughed with disbelief. “Look, I know you think Nick is fun, and I’m sure he is, but I think you’re taking this whole rebellious freedom thing a little too far.”

“That’s easy for you to say,” Brooke grumbled. “You got to have a social life in high school. I didn’t.” She stood at the window and crossed her arms. From
there she could see Nick’s dorm and she wondered what he was doing right now. Was he awake? Was he angry that she’d bolted in the middle of the night? Or worse, was he happy she was gone?

“Exactly, so I know what I’m talking about here. Do you remember Riley Grayson?”

“Yeah, why?” Brooke turned to look at her friend.

“Nick reminds me a lot of him. And I was so head over heels infatuated with Riley. I believed the sun rose and set with him. He was sexy, fun, dangerous as hell.”

“I know all of that, Jess, you’ve told me before.”

“Well, I haven’t told you this.” Jessica shook her head. “We used to do ecstasy, too. A lot of it. Sometimes two or three pills at a time.”

“Whoa.” Half a pill had taken her over the edge, she couldn’t imagine doing anymore than that.

“I know. There are some nights I remember popping the pills and nothing else. Anyway, we got to the point that we couldn’t, actually, we didn’t
want
to have sex unless we had E. So one night we went out to a club, scored some E from a guy we didn’t know. I don’t remember much else expect waking up behind the club, stoned out of my mind, and alone.”

“Oh my God, Jess.” Brooke sat back down on her bed. “Why didn’t you ever tell me this?”

Jessica shrugged. “I guess I was embarrassed. I have no idea what happened, but I knew Riley had left me there. I swore I would never speak to him again after that, and I haven’t.”

“I’m so sorry.” Brooke was at a loss as to what else to say. So many awful things could’ve happened to Jessica. It was unbearable to think about.

“I never thought Riley would put me in danger either, and the argument can be made that he didn’t, but I was willing to follow him anywhere. And you’re doing the same with Nick. You’ll blindly follow his lead no matter what because you like the thrill of it—the high you feel—and that’s what’s going to get you into trouble, Brooke.”

Brooke looked away, not wanting to meet Jessica’s gaze for fear that Jessica would see Brooke’s guilt. She hated that Jessica was right. Brooke was completely in awe of Nick. He was everything her parents never allowed. Maybe that was the question
she should be asking herself; was she infatuated with Nick because she truly liked him, or was it because she knew her parents would never approve?

“Dylan’s a nice guy, and he really likes you,” Jessica said.

Brooke groaned and flopped back on her bed, covering her eyes with her arm. “Jess, please.”

“What?” she asked innocently. “It’s the truth. He’d be the perfect guy for you.”

“Okay, look, Jess, I like Dylan, I really do. He’s a great guy, but I’m not into him like that.”

“You haven’t even given him a chance.”

“Yes, I have,” Brooke protested and sat up.

Jessica stood in the middle of the room, hands on her hips. “When?” she demanded.

Brooke cringed. Damn it. She forgot she hadn’t told Jessica about what happened with Dylan, and this was exactly why. Jessica wouldn’t let it go. With a sigh, Brooke gave her friend a look of warning, a look that said, if you say anything I’m going to kick your ass.

“When I chased Dylan down
outside the library he asked me out again. And I was ready to tell him no, but then he kissed me. Like, really kissed me. It was hot, Jess.” Brooke grinned devilishly. “Then he asked me out again, and I said yes. I think I was dizzy from his kiss, but anyway, I did give him a chance, and you know what? Right after I kissed Dylan, I kissed Nick, and it was so much better.”

Jessica frowned, and Brooke stood, stomping her foot. “Don’t look at me like that, Jess. I’m sorry, but I want Nick.” Brooke pointed at Jessica. “And that’s the last time I’m going to apologize for how I feel.”

“Fine, I’ll stop with the whole Dylan thing on one condition.”

“What?”

“You slow down a little. You’re jumping into this thing with both feet, eyes closed, and arms flailing. I just don’t want to see how hard you’re going to crash because I have a feeling it will kill both of us.”

Brooke studied her friend. Once again, Jessica was right. Brooke was drunk with the newfound freedom she had, and she was making some pretty risky choices, but didn’t she deserve to have some fun? And that’s all it was. Harmless fun with some mind blowing sex thrown in for good measure.

“Deal,” Brooke said even though she wasn’t sure she could keep up her end of it. “So, what’re your plans today?”

“I’m meeting with a study group for my statistics class.”

Brooke scrunched up her face. “On a Saturday?”

“Yeah, unfortunately. I’m flunking that class bad. I need all the help I can get.”

“Well, have fun with that.”

“What about you? What’re you going to do?”

“For starters,” Brooke yawned, “I’m going to go back to bed, then I’m going to shower, eat, work on that paper we have due in English, and then probably go to bed again.”

Jessica laughed. “Yes, my dear, partying does come with a stiff price. Lack of sleep
and an overall feeling of crappiness. Have fun with that.” She waved, and left the room.

Brooke snatched her cell phone from her desk and laid down on the bed. She contemplated swiping her finger across the screen to wake it up, but she knew there wouldn’t be a message of any sort from Nick. No matter how badly she wished for it, it simply wouldn’t be there, and that would depress her. So, she tossed the phone to the floor, rolled over, and fell asleep.

***

Nick stopped outside of Brooke’s door, his hand poised to knock, but he hesitated and dropped his hand. This is stupid. I should just leave. My big mouth scared her off once already, chances are I’ll do it again right now. He took a deep breath. He wanted to leave, but his mind wouldn’t cooperate until he knew, without a doubt, that she had no regrets about last night. It had taken him all damn day to build up enough courage to get this far, he couldn’t possibly leave now.

In the words of Kyle, grow a pair of balls, dude, and just do it already.

Nick knocked on the door and held his breath. He hoped to hell she was here because he didn’t know if he’d have the balls to come back here a second time. A moment later, the door swung open.

“Nick? Hey.” Brooke smiled.

Damn, she looked good. Dressed in sweat pants and a T-shirt, her hair pulled into a ponytail, she looked relaxed, refreshed. “Hey, Brooke. Can we talk?”

“Yeah, sure.” She stepped into the hallway and closed the door behind her. “Jessica’s trying to study,” she explained.

“Right.” He nodded and tucked his hands into his pockets. He felt like a schmuck, like this was his first time ever talking to a girl. Pull yourself together, Benson, and stop being a fucking pussy. Nick drew a deep breath. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”

“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be?”

He shrugged. “You took off last night or this morning, I don’t know which.” He laughed nervously. “Anyway, you’ve always said no regrets, and you’re disappearing act kind of makes it seem like—”

Brooke chuckled. “Don’t worry, Nick, I have no regrets about anything that happened last night.”

His sigh of relief was visible
and audible, but he didn’t care. Smiling, he said, “Good. So, I’m heading out to meet some friends. We’re gonna drag race on that dead end road. You know the one.” He winked, and she blushed. He loved it when she blushed like that. “Wanna ride along?”

She glanced back and forth between him and her closed door. “Sounds fun, but I have a paper due
on Monday, and I haven’t even started it.”

“So skip that class, tell your professor you were sick, and turn it in
late.” Nick took her hand and pulled her toward him. “After the race we can go somewhere private. Maybe take some more E. Have some real fun.” His cock was getting hard just thinking about how sweet her body was, how good it felt to bury himself inside of her while high on ecstasy. The sensations last night had been almost unbearable, but so good at the same time.

Brooke rested her hands on his chest and looked up at him. “Mmm,” she groaned and glanced at the door again. “That’s a very tempting offer.”

Nick clasped his hands behind her back and held her close. “C’mon, Brooke. You know we always have fun.” She took a deep breath, and Nick could tell she was close to agreeing with him. “We can even find a third if you want.” Not that he really wanted to shar
e her with another guy again—another woman would be nice—but he was bordering on desperate.

“No, we don’t have to do that,” she said.

The relief he felt at that was all consuming. He grinned. “So does that mean you’re coming with me?”

She frowned. “I want to, but I really can’t.”

His heart sank, and his first instinct was to stand there and try to convince her to go with him, or he could roll the dice and walk away with the hopes that she would follow. He knew if he went with the latter, and she didn’t follow, he’d be disappointed and a little pissed off. Reluctantly, he dropped his arms from around her.

“Okay, I
get it,” he said, “you want to play it safe. No worries. Have fun writing your paper. I’ll call ya sometime.” He turned to walk away, and he made it halfway down the hallway before she stopped him.

“Nick, wait.”

He smiled to himself, and then slowly turned around. With a cocked brow, he said, “Yeah?”

“Let me get my shoes.”
