“I don’t think so,” she said, just as he pushed through.

He laughed. “Oh, I think that’s not entirely true. You’re so warm and tight here. It’s going to be a snug fit for my cock. I hope you can take it in, all of it.”

He drew a moan from her as his finger penetrated farther and his other hand worked her clit. “I’m going to come inside your sexy little asshole, Kayla.”

She lifted her hips higher at his words.

After a few moments, he added a second finger. He played until he felt her muscles tense around them, then retreated before she came.

“Nooooo,” she groaned.

This was a punishment she would enjoy more than she realized.

“Are you ready for me to fuck your ass?”

She nodded, shifting her hips from side to side.

He placed the head of his cock at the entrance and pushed just until it penetrated. She gasped and tensed. He stopped there, allowing her to get used to him.

“Relax and open,” he said, pressing farther in.

“Too big,” she said. “It burns.”

He gripped her hips and spread her open, knowing how tender she would feel, knowing it would hurt her, but doing it nevertheless. “I’m not even two inches in yet, Kayla,” he said, gaining more ground but moving slowly, allowing her time to adjust, but not enough to relax. “You’ve got a ways to go yet.” The next inches he simply took, ignoring her protests, holding her hips tight, watching her open as his cock penetrated and claimed. A little farther and he groaned. He wouldn’t be able to hold off for too long; she was so tight, so warm inside.

“Mmmm, Kayla,” he said, sliding one hand around, stroking her clit. “Take me in, all the way in, and I’ll let you come,” he said, rubbing.

She buried her face in the bed and raised her hips higher. He loved to see her like this, her wrists bound, her hips lifted to him, her buttocks and thighs marked and his cock buried inside her ass.

He felt her push against him and he rewarded her by pinching her clit as he drove his cock the rest of the way into her. She called out, her muscles flexing around his thick member, and he held still, listening to the noises she made as she came, soft blissful purrs. He leaned forward and kissed her shoulder. “Good girl,” he said. He gave her a moment to adjust before adding, “I think you’ll like this part of the punishment. I think you’ll like feeling me come inside your ass.”

She only moaned and hollowed out her back, offering him her ass.

Knowing how sensitive she would be now, he reached for a handful of hair and tugged her head upward. She gasped.

“I’m going to fuck you now, Kayla. It’s going to hurt and you’re going to take me, all of me. Are you ready?”

“Yes. Please…”

Animal instinct took over before she was able to finish her sentence and Elijah released her hair, gripped her hips hard, pulled almost all the way out before driving into her hard.

She called out but he didn’t stop or slow. Feeling her tremble beneath him only made him harder, thicker, more violent as he claimed her.

“Too much. I can’t…” A moan as her muscles clamped around his cock again and another orgasm took her.

He gripped her hair again, this time forcing her face into the bed as he pounded into her hard. His cock throbbed and swelled and a low growl accompanied the final thrusts before he released inside her.

Chapter Ten

Kayla slid out of the bed while Elijah slept. She didn’t want to wake him, but her bottom hurt too much to sleep. She was sore from both the caning and the fucking and needed Advil. She closed the bedroom door and switched on a light in the living room. She put on the kettle, thinking to make herself a cup of tea while searching for the painkillers. Opening the cabinets, she rummaged through them. He’d bought some today; she’d seen him unpack it.

“There you are,” she said, reaching in the back of a cupboard. She tore the box open, took the bottle out, and slipped two pills into her hand. She then took a glass, filled it with water, and swallowed the pills. She turned the kettle off before it whistled and made a cup of tea, then made her way to the bookshelf. She’d read for a bit while the pills worked, then she’d go back to sleep.

While looking through the selection, she managed to knock over a bookend and some of the books slipped to the floor.

“Shit,” she said, not wanting to wake him. He would surely have heard that.

She set her tea down and was gathering everything when she came upon the file. It was hidden at the back of the bookcase, behind the books she’d just knocked over. Something told her she shouldn’t, but she dragged it out and opened it, her expression immediately changing.

“What are you doing?” His voice made her jump. “Close that and give it to me, Kayla.”

“What is this?” she asked, leafing through the pages.

He seemed conflicted, as if he didn’t know if he should grab the file from her hands or let her read it.

“Elijah?” she asked, standing.

Inside the folder were pages and pages of information. Information about her. A copy of her birth certificate, a picture of her mother and one of her father. Sheets and sheets of numbers and letters she couldn’t understand were behind those and then pages of handwritten addresses, phone numbers, and photographs of her over the years.

“What is this, Elijah?” she asked again, looking at him.

He exhaled loudly and ran a hand through his hair. “Kayla,” he began, but he was interrupted when the door burst open and all of the windows simultaneously crashed inward. Men in black combat wear, carrying heavy weaponry, burst in after the glass, invading the cabin.

Kayla screamed and Elijah lunged to grab her. The file fell from her hands to the floor. A gun was fired once, twice, and a moment later, Elijah went crashing to the ground and other arms circled Kayla, lifting and carrying her away.

“Elijah!” she screamed before a rag covered her mouth. She gasped for breath and as soon as she did, she collapsed into the arms of her new captor.

“Romantic how we found you,” a man’s voice said.

“Leave her alone. She has nothing to do with anything, Phillip!”

“Now, Elijah, we both know that’s not true. You don’t really think I wouldn’t have done my homework, do you?”

Kayla opened her eyes slowly, her head throbbing. She moaned, although she didn’t mean to make any sound.

“Ah,” the man said.

“I’m warning you, Phillip,” Elijah roared.

“Warning me about what? What can you do now?”

Kayla opened her eyes. She was lying on a couch that was cold and hard beneath her. Leather, likely. She turned her head in the direction of the voices and there, she saw them. Elijah stood strapped to a wall, the restraints a thick metal, unbreakable. She knew right away who Phillip was. He was older, at least in his 60s. He wore a suit and although he was tall, Elijah’s build and height still dwarfed him.

“Hope your head isn’t too bad, Kayla dear,” he said, coming toward her.

She sat up and took in the other handful of men in the room, all dressed in black, all carrying heavy-duty weapons. It was one of those men who put his hand on her shoulder when she sat up.

“Don’t fucking touch her!” Elijah called, trying to free himself but failing.

Phillip smiled and gestured to the man to remove his hand. He stood a few inches from her and leaned forward, lifting her face by the chin, investigating what felt like a bruise on the side of one cheek.

“That’s going to swell, but no permanent damage,” he said.

She could only stare at him, at the others, at the windowless room.

“You were having a lover’s spat when we surprised you, I think,” Phillip taunted. “I believe you were asking Elijah about the file you’d found, yes?”

She looked at the man and decided she hated him.

“Here it is; we brought it along so you could get your fill of it. Mom’s pretty,” he said. “Dad’s a little wolf-y looking though.”

She turned to Elijah, understanding the answer to the question she’d asked a few days ago, the “why me.”

“Elijah?” she asked.

His expression was one of remorse and he was unable to hold her gaze. “I’m sorry, Kayla.”

“Now, Elijah. I think she deserves more than that by way of explanation,” Phillip taunted.

“Shut the fuck up,” Elijah said through his teeth.

She couldn’t understand why he wasn’t shifting. Why he wasn’t fighting back and getting them the hell out of there.

“Well, turns out, my dear, your boy here had done his homework on you. You know the story of his clan, I’m sure. Last living survivor, blah blah blah. Always was dramatic, that one,” Phillip said, sitting down next to her.

Kayla moved so he wasn’t touching her.

“You didn’t know your father was a werewolf as well.”

“What?” she asked. This was insane.

“Different clan, opposing clan to Elijah’s as a matter of fact. Get a bottle of water for the girl,” he ordered one of the guards. “Don’t want to take any chances with what she might be carrying.”

“Carrying?” she asked, feeling suddenly sick to her stomach. Everything was coming together, but it was too unreal.

“I’m getting ahead of myself. So, where were we? Oh, yes, your father. Turns out he fell in love with a simple human, but managed to pass the wolf gene on. Now that, my dear, that last part is a rarity indeed. You’re a very special young woman. Although it was quite selfish of your father to run off and abandon you both, wouldn’t you say?” he asked.

The man handed her a bottle of water.

“He didn’t leave us. He wouldn’t have ever left us by choice.”

“I suppose we’ll never know what was truly in his heart, since he is gone now. But he was fun to track. Elijah can tell you that story another time. Seems as though your lover had a plan all along. Take you, breed his spawn, replenish his line. Probably had you believing he was in love with you. He’s quite the Romeo, I’m guessing.”

She looked at Elijah, who was watching her intently.

Her heart sank and betrayal laced her eyes with tears.

“It’s not like he tells it,” Elijah said after what seemed like an eternity of a silence thick enough to smother her.

“You carry the gene, Kayla. The wolf gene. With you, Elijah would be able to remake his clan.”

The room was spinning; this was too much.

“I did wish I could breed the two of you myself. Bet that’s something to see,” Phillip said, an evil smirk accompanying the gaze that swept over Elijah’s shirtless body.

“I’m going to kill you slowly, Phillip,” Elijah said quietly.

“What do you mean?” Kayla asked Phillip, knowing exactly what he meant.

“I’m thinking a bouncing baby wolf. What do you think?” he asked, taking her hands in his as if they were girlfriends swapping stories.

“Get off me,” she said. “I’m not pregnant, it’s not possible and…and…”

“Well, why don’t you let me see and I’ll tell you what, if you behave, I’ll give you two five minutes together before we take the dog outside and put him down for good.”

Elijah pulled violently at his restraints again, but there wasn’t any give.

“Be good, Elijah. I promise I’ll bring her right back.”

“Get off me!” Kayla screamed as Phillip stood and two uniformed men hauled her to her feet and carried her off between him.

Kayla fought them with all she had. Her mind was spinning, but getting the hell out of here was first priority. If she were dead, none of it would matter. If Elijah were dead…no, she couldn’t think about that now. Not yet. They led her through a hallway and she wondered if they were underground, as there weren’t any windows along any walls. The men lifted her off her feet easily enough and carried her deeper below ground until Phillip opened the door of what looked to be a science lab.

“Lay her on the table and strap her down.”

Kayla kicked and screamed, but the worst damage was done when she bit into the hand of one of the men.

“Fuck!” He pulled his hand away and raised it as if he was going to slap her.

“Derek!” Phillip’s voice came from across the room and Derek dropped his hand. “She’s necessary.”

Phillip was buttoning a white lab coat over his clothes.

The table was cold at her back. It was set up as any examining table at a gynecologist’s office, but this one didn’t have the comfort of any cushioning between her and the steel. Her wrists were clicked into the cuffs along the sides of the table and her legs spread wide, knees bent and ankles bound to the stirrups. They then pulled two leather straps across her torso, one over her pelvis, the other just above her breasts. All she could do was close her knees, knowing it didn’t hide anything between her legs.

Well, at least she was still clothed—even if it was just her tank top and panties.

“You can wait there, gentlemen,” Phillip said, pointing at the top of the table. He retrieved a pair of scissors from the table behind him and turned to her. “I’m going to cut your clothes off now, Kayla. Spread your knees wide.”

“Why are you doing this?” she asked, without complying.

“I can’t examine you with your clothes on, obviously. Knees.”

“No.”

“If you prefer, Derek and Joseph can hold them spread through the examination. What would you rather?”

When she didn’t answer, he nodded to the men who walked over.

Kayla spread her knees wide. She didn’t want them anywhere near her and definitely not touching her.

“Good girl,” Phillip said.

Phillip drew the scissors flat against her leg and up toward her panties. She watched as his eyes came to rest on her crotch, the strip of lace not leaving much to the imagination. The cool metal slipped underneath the lace. She listened to the sound of the blades closing, stripping her of her panties in one quick snip. A memory of her mother sewing when she was little coming back to her. She’d hum while she sewed. Kayla had forgotten that little detail. She stared up at the ceiling as a tear rolled down the side of her face.

Nothing happened for a moment and she imagined him looking at her. She then felt the scissors at the hem of her top. “You don’t need to cut my top off!” she said, jerking her body but accomplishing nothing.
