Laughing pursues and then a cough. Jonsey comes in with a stack of fresh cleaned towels all folded, prim and proper, and he lays them on the table just inside the door. “Oh, please. Don’t let me interfere.” He starts to head out the door, his hand on the door knob and turns his head. “Oh, by the way. These walls aren’t really thick. Just to let you know. Goodnight, pleasant dreams.” And with that, he walks out and shuts the door.
I roll off Tuck, land on my back and sigh loudly.
Oh, my God!
Tuck rolls over, his head in his hand and laughs. “We can be quiet.” My head whips to him, and I roll my eyes and smirk. “Well…” He can’t stop laughing. “We can!” Rolling onto my side, I lay my head in my hand and with my other one, I poke him in the chest with my finger.
“Uh, you know I can’t be quiet when we are, uh, you know.” His laughter is getting louder by the minute. Rolling my eyes yet again, I poke him again but harder. “Tuck! You know I can’t be quiet when we, uh… Grrrrrr. You know!” He flops onto his back. His laughter is quiet now because he’s laughing so hard. I smack his arm, my face heating up. Finally, his roar simmers down and he rolls back over to me and pecks my lips.
“I love how unquiet you are. Turns me the fuck on.” His lips smash against mine, and my mouth opens immediately to his seeking tongue. He rolls all the way over and then slides down and quickly enters me.
“Ungh!” I yell out as he hits the place I needed desperately. He is quick with his thrusts, and I am falling over the edge fast. I start clawing his back. My legs around his slim waist, my feet pressing into his fuck hawt bottom as we move together faster and faster until we both climax simultaneously.
After cleaning us both up, he crawls over me and snuggles up against me, his hand gliding in between my legs. I can’t hardly keep my eyes open as I’m so warm and feel so loved with my man’s strong arm around me. I move back closer and when I quit moving I can tell my love is already asleep by his light breathing.
God, I love my sexy rocker!
Morning comes way too fast, but hell I had more sleep last night than I’ve had in a long time. With all of our lovemaking sessions that lasted all night and into the mornings, my body feels pretty rested after last night only making love once. I think that was the first time we only made love one time in a day since we’ve been together.
Ok, I could be exaggerating a tiny bit.
I quietly remove myself from underneath my man and freeze when he rolls over. I quickly jog into the bathroom and die of relief as I empty my bladder. I brush my teeth and throw my hair up in a high ponytail. After putting on my robe, I tiptoe to the door, look back at my sleeping man and head downstairs, quickly smelling the awesome aroma of breakfast cooking. Once I get into the kitchen I sneak up on Mable, our family cook, tickle her waist and laugh as she shrieks. She gives me a wink and a smirk and returns to her cooking, while I grab some juice from the fridge and sit down at the breakfast bar.
“Good to have you home. I hear you’re already barefoot and pregnant,” she sneers but never turns around. Rolling my eyes, I take a big gulp of freshly squeezed orange juice.
“Yeah, couldn’t help it. Ya see. I saw this hot rocker dude and jumped him as soon as I left here. What can I say? He was totally hot!” I take another huge drink when she turns around laughing.
“I sure missed you!” She walks over, spatula in hand, and leans on the counter in front of me. “Now tell me, how are you and I want to hear all the deets, girl.” Mable is another person on my parent’s staff that basically took care of me growing up, changing my diapers, feeding me in my high chair and always played with me when I was little. We spent the entire breakfast talking about everything, Tuck taking my heart and soul, the band and me singing for the first time, down to my man’s proposal in front of everyone at the bar. “Girl, you are one lucky woman. He’s fine too, really built and that beard and oh those tat’s, just too hot!” We both start laughing and then out of the corner of my eye, I catch Tuck walking in. Mable stands up straight and heads for the stove.
“Did I hear my name?” He asks as I lean up, so he can give me a morning kiss. “I thought I heard the word ‘hot’,” he whispers against my lips. I smack his behind and giggle as he walks around and sits on the stool next to me.
Mable brings over a plate and sets it down in front of him. “Coffee, juice, water or milk?” He looks at her and blinks. “Coffee it is.” She turns around, pours him a cup and then sets it down by his plate. “Sugar?” Again, he just looks at her. “Didn’t think so.” She shrugs, looks at me, winks and leaves the kitchen.
“Oh, kay. That was weird,” Tuck says with a confused look. Laughing I kiss his pouty lips and stand up to get a refill on my juice.
“We’ve been talking for hours. She probably knows you better than you do,” I tell him as I kick the fridge door closed with my foot. Leaning against the counter, I take a drink and wink at him.
I watch as my sexy rocker lifts his fork full of food and places it into his mouth. I lick my lips and sigh.
Damn, I’m horny again.
“So, when you’re done ogling me, mind telling me what’s on the agenda for today?” He says with his cocky grin.
Laughing I walk over and lean on the breakfast bar on my elbows. “Well, Mom and I are going shopping. She said I must have the best wedding dress. I told her we haven’t really talked about a wedding or when or where. I said I’d just as soon run off to Vegas and she got the scariest look on her face. I really don’t know what’s gotten into them but whatever it is, I’m so glad and happy.”
He sets his toast down on his plate and grabs my hand that my engagement ring resides. “Beauty, you can have whatever kind of wedding you want, whenever you want it. I’m fine with running off to Vegas, having it on the beach or in our backyard if you want.” He brings my hand up to his luscious lips and kisses the top of my hand. “I only want what makes you happy. That’s all that matters to me.”
Awe! He’s gonna make me cry. I swear!
I lean over more and kiss his mouth. “But what do you want, baby? I want you to be happy too and I want whatever we decide to be memorable for the both of us.”
His mouth finds mine and presses against me so hard that I almost fall over, but I can’t get enough at the same time. “As long as you end up beside me and we seal our love with a kiss, I don’t care where or how we get married. I just want to hold you for the rest of my life, make sweet love to you, have babies together to love and cherish and have the happiest life that this world is willing to give us.”
That did it! I can’t take it anymore!
I walk around the counter, still holding his hand, pull him out of his seat and take him up to my room where I show him how much I love him and how happy he makes me feel.

“So, what are you doing while the women are out shopping, Tucker?” Alan asks as he walks over to me. I’ve been in their game room practicing on my pool shooting technique while Pax is out shopping with her mom. I bank a shot, stand my cue stick on the floor and watch as he heads to the bar. He turns his head to me and smiles. “Beer or something stronger?”
“Beer’s fine, thanks.” He takes a beer from the fridge and hands it to me as I sit on a stool at the bar. “Was just goofing around and getting some shots in. You?” He pours himself a jack and coke and takes a sip.
“Damn that’s good. Well, I went into town for a little bit and did some work. I also talked to Gregory a little about your band.” He takes his glass, walks around the bar and sits on a stool next to me. “He’s heard your music from when you were going to play for our charity. Sorry about that, by the way.” I just shrug and take another long drawl. “Anyway, he knows a recording label that would love your ‘sound’ as he calls it. Interested in him making that call?”
Finishing off my beer, I get up and walk around the bar to dispose of the empty bottle. I lean my arms on the counter and tilt my head. “Well, I’d have to talk to Pax about it and if she’s good then I would need to talk to the band. She’s my first priority and we haven’t had time to discuss anything yet. It’s a great opportunity but I’m not sure where our life is headed yet and I won’t do anything that will cause any kind of stress for Pax.”
“Yes, well, I appreciate that. I want only the best for Paxton too. I’ve finally learned that loving her is more important than anything else in our lives. I know you don’t need money and I know you will take care of our little girl but wouldn’t it be nice to get the recognition that you and your band deserve? What about the other men in your band? Don’t they deserve the money and fame that they’ve worked so hard for?” He leans towards me, his hands on the bar counter. “Let me help you. Let me help them to make their dreams become reality.”
I rub my bearded chin. My brows drawn in as I contemplate his words. I nod at him and tell him I will talk to Pax tonight. Then he proceeds to inform me that he knows what’s been going on in our life with Darndage and how he has notified a friend he has in the FBI. I then spill my guts about my past with Darndage and why he is so intent on causing Pax harm as well as wanting to kill me.
A few hours later, Paxton and her mom come home with Charles following them in the house, his arms full of shopping bags and boxes.
Looks like they bought out a freakin’ store.
We all have a quiet dinner and about halfway through Pax excuses herself and runs upstairs. I don’t hesitate to follow her and help her as she loses everything she’s eaten today. Once she’s brushed her teeth, I help her get her nightie on and tuck myself around her in bed.
“Have you been taking your nausea pills, baby?” I ask as I rub her back. She shakes her head and sighs.
“I keep forgetting, along with the prenatal vitamin. Our baby’s gonna grow inside me and not be healthy,” she cries.
I brush her long hair away from her sweet face and kiss her cheek. “Hey, now. I will help remind you every morning to take your pills.” My hand moves down and covers her flat tummy, and I rub gently. “And our baby is going to be very healthy and full of love from her most loving parents.”
She wipes her eyes and turns her head to me. “What did I ever do to deserve you and why in the hell did I wait so long to give in to your love?” My mouth finds her lips quickly, eliciting a moan from deep within her. “I love you, so much. Thank you for taking such great care of me.” She lays her head back down and snuggles back into me. My hand goes to its favorite spot, and I fall asleep thinking about a little girl in our backyard on a swing, giggling as I am pushing her.
“Baby, I think you need to do what you love and you love to sing and interact with people and play your guitar and be with your band. I think the guys would love a career launch and I know Gregory can help.” We’re lying in bed the next morning. My arm is around my girl, and I’m holding her hand up while she plays with my fingers. “Our wedding? I think our wedding would be wonderful in our huge backyard. I know Mom would go crazy decorating and planning the whole thing.” She quickly rolls over onto her side, her arm moving around my waist and squeezing it. “If the guys could play at the reception that would be awesome and if we have it in the next couple of months, it would be warm and I wouldn’t be showing. Well, hopefully I wouldn’t be showing.”
My hand smooths over her tummy. The look in her eyes are full of love. “You’ve thought about the wedding.” Her head lowers, and her long lashes fan down as she closes her eyes. I put my finger under her chin and watch her eyes open as I lift her face. “I want whatever you want and that sounds amazing.” Her entire face brightens with her radiant smile. “And I’ll talk to the guys tonight when they come over for practice and I’ll let your dad know.” Kissing her nose, I reach around and lightly smack her cute ass. “Now, we better get packed. That might take what little time we have left today before we have to catch our flight.” She giggles and buries her cute face into my side.
The limo is all packed with all of Pax’s luggage and my one small bag and she’s standing by the front porch crying as she tells her parents goodbye. She’d told her mom earlier about our plans and they went into a frenzy about making a list about all the things needed for the wedding.
Women!
“Pax, come on! We’re gonna miss our flight, baby!” I yell as I look at my watch. My phone starts vibrating in my pocket, and I answer without looking at the caller ID. “Tuck.”
“Tucker… Stiles. Don’t come home. Your studio was set on fire. The fire department has it under control but I don’t want you and Paxton anywhere near here right now.” My heart stops as he tells me what happened. “We found a note on your front door. Tuck. The note was written in blood.”
Pax chooses that moment to walk up to me. Her hand presses against my chest and the look of question on her face. I raise my hand to her and shake my head. “What the fuck? What does it say? Is the studio destroyed? My guys? Were they there?” I’m talking so fast that I’m not sure he can understand me. Pax’s hand quickly covers her mouth. Tears are welling up in her eyes.
“No one was here, thank God. Tuck, the note is a warning. We’re having it fingerprinted but I doubt there are any on it. It says you can’t hide and that no matter where you go he will know and he is watching.” He says slowly as if he’s reading it.
“Darndage.”
Once I got Pax calmed down, her mom took her upstairs to stay with her while she tried to take a nap. Alan and I are in the living room. He’s on the phone with his FBI friend, and I’m on the phone talking with Granger and telling him what all happened.
“Dude! They need to catch that fucker and quick. So, you’re gonna stay there for a while, I hope?” He asks in concern.
“We haven’t really gotten to talk about everything yet. Pax was so upset, almost hysterical. She’s resting, or trying to. Hey, I’ll let you go, but you guys keep an eye out and stay clear of the studio and our house. I don’t want anything to happen to you guys. Yeah, I’ll call you tomorrow with the details of the record. Ok. Thanks.”
As soon as I hang up with Granger, I notice Alan sitting there watching me. “Well, since this isn’t a federal matter he can’t do much in that respect but he knows your friend, Hulk, that you told me about, and he’s calling him. He also has some, um, friends who are willing to help out behind the scenes, so to speak.” He gets up from his chair and walks over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder. “They’ll do whatever they can. I have faith.”
