When Ruby got up to clean up the dining room and took plates into the kitchen, her mother followed with the excuse she wanted to help. What she really wanted was a few moments with her daughter.

“Honey, I know you do not want to talk about this right now, but as your mother I have to ask. Did they hurt you in any way that your father and I need to know about? I know they hit you, I can see the bruises. And trust me, your father is ready to take up arms and go hunting with the Enforcers. I guess what I am trying to ask is, did they sexually hurt you?” Her mother said softly and braced herself in case Ruby told her that she had been sexually assaulted.

“No mom, they did not. I was drugged most of the time. They only let me wake up when they thought Reggie was coming out of the coma or to ask me questions about Quin and Jaden. I don"t really remember that much. When, uh, Reggie and I claimed each other, I was still a virgin.” Ruby said and blushed. Gods, how embarrassing to talk to her mother about sex. However, she knew the New Council, and especially Cami, was going to ask questions that were more detailed so she had better get used to it.

Her mother took a deep breath, let out a strangled sob, grabbed her daughter, and hugged her. Whispering in her ear how worried they were and how scared they were for her.

They cried together for a few minutes before the door swung open and Reggie stood there looking at them. Her mother wiped her eyes, then hugged Reggie and walked out of the room, leaving her there to gather herself.

Levi slipped into the door and stood back looking a little uncomfortable. “You okay?” He said gruffly and looked at her closely.

“Fine, just a little girl talk. We have a lot of things we need to talk about, I am going to politely ask my parents to leave, and we will have our powwow. Don"t think you are going to get out of explaining your behavior. And Reggie and I have a few things we also need to get off our chest. I think it is best we do it before we face the Council.” Both men nodded and watched her closely as she went to the dining room and talked to her parents for a few minutes. Her parents had told her over dinner that they were planning on moving to Milliken with the Pack. They were going to leave her uncle in charge of the restaurant here and open a new one in downtown Milliken. Apparently, there was a shortage of restaurants in the small town, and with all the new people coming, the Alphas had said they were going to help any Pack members move or start their businesses. Her parents wanted to be close to her and also raise her siblings in a smaller shifter town. It was too hard in a big city to let them be who they were.

After everyone was gone and things cleaned up, the three of them went into the living room and sat down. She almost laughed at the picture that they made, each of them sitting on their own piece of furniture, like they were using the couches and chairs as buffers.

“Okay, I will start.” Ruby said firmly. “Reggie, you know that I was attacked last year by the Rogues. I told you a little about what happened, they were waiting for me when I opened the door of my parent"s restaurant one morning. I don"t remember a lot about it but I do remember that they were going to rape me. I was so disgusted with myself after that I refused to talk to anyone for a long time and kinda clung to Cami. I was scared of my own shadow. Then they made me go to counseling and seriously, it helped. But I think I was so needy that I wanted Levi to claim me so he could take care of me. I wanted him to chase away the shadows and to be honest; looking back, I am grateful you said no. I was pissed, but after this last experience, I realized that I am strong enough to handle this shit. I am worthy of you, both of you. Right now, it feels like I have locked myself away for so long that it"s just kinda overflowing out. I know I am being a little demanding and bitchy, but I have to tell you that it feels good to know what I want and to tell you. I can take most things, but I will tell you both right now, I will not take being ignored or pushed aside. I will not be treated like a whimpering little flower, I want to be involved in all of our decisions, we are a team, and I expect us to act like it.” She said and looked at her mates as they shook their heads.

Levi was going to be the toughest one to share, she knew that, and so did Reggie. That was why the smaller man spoke up quickly, giving their mate a few more moments to think and plan what he was going to say.

“Well then, I am Reggie and I am a flaming bisexual.” Reggie said with a touch of humor.

“Hi, Reggie.” Ruby laughed.

“Ruby, when we were in that apartment I wanted to be strong for you. I discovered that I did have some hidden attributes that I had not known. For example, I was more than a little impressed with the fact that I was all growly and mean to my mother. You have no idea how long I have wanted to say those things to her. In the past, I did not have relationships with females. Mainly because they did not, like how much attention I paid to my hair products or the fact that I could coordinate an outfit better than them. But mostly because they did not think, I was manly enough. I think that I have proven to myself that I am manly enough, however, I will always wear bright clothes and watch chick flicks with the girls because that is who I am. Levi, I was more than a little intimidated by you before we even met, because of what Ruby told me. I thought that maybe you would not like me because I was a little more on the feminine side. I hope that you can accept who I am. I want to take care of Ruby, but I would really like a strong man to lean on and sometimes take care of both of us.” Reggie said and looked at his big strong mate, who was struggling to come up with the words he wanted to say.

Levi got up and began pacing the living room and for a brief moment, they both thought he was going to leave again. Ruby had pushed herself the edge of the chair she was sitting on in case she had to give chase.

“Gods Damnit. You both make it so easy. My shit goes way beyond this. You know I came from Quin's Pack. Well my mother and father were the equivalent of the town drunks. In fact, they made a living out of embarrassing themselves and me. I never thought I would actually find my mate, and to be honest I did not want to. I do not want to ever put you in the position that my parents put me in. I have to be so careful; I do not want to turn out like them. When Ruby came to me and told me she was my mate, I already knew, hell I knew even before you did. When I first saw you I felt the pull, but you were too young. I did not want you to ever resent me for holding you back. I think that is what my mom did. She wanted to be the Enforcer"s wife, the important bitch of the Pack. When my dad fucked up and was retired, she just fell apart. She had nothing to fall back on. So they drank, a lot and I became the parent. The Alpha knew what was going on and helped me get out. He trained me to be an Enforcer when most would have left me to rot with my parents. I am rough; I don"t want to feel like I let anyone down. I have no clue what I"m supposed to do with you two. Hell Reggie, you are on the New Council.” Levi said and ran his hands through his hair and continued pacing.

“I hate to point this out, but according to what I have seen, that means you are too. The mates are as much a part of the Council as the actual Chosen. There is a reason the Gods saw fit to mate us three. I don"t think we should worry about what you are going to do. I think you will have a hard enough time keeping us in line as it is. Maybe that is what the Gods saw.” Reggie said softly and waited for his mate to finally come to terms with them.

“But how am I supposed to act? What can I possibly contribute?” Levi said.

“Hey, look at my sister. Her mate Sid is a construction worker. Not everyone on the Council will have a specific job. You are there to support us. And help the Council move forward. We will work this out. Don"t stress about something you have no control over.” Reggie said.

Ruby nodded and stood up. “You are my knight in shining armor. I don"t care if you are the Alpha of the Pack or the janitor of the Pack. You are my mate and I could not be prouder to say that. Reggie and you are my world. The sooner you come to terms with that, the better off you will be.”

Reggie laughed and stood up. “Yeah, and I may be one of the Chosen, or whatever they are calling us these days, but I really don"t care. I would walk away from all of it right now, if I thought that it would make you happy.”

Levi smiled and looked down at his mates. “Now can we have some real nice slow loving?”

Ruby laughed and said, “Well, maybe a little dirty.” She leaned in and kissed Levi while Reggie started to take off their mate"s clothes. She shed hers by herself quickly so she was standing naked in front of them in a second.

Both of her men laughed at her impatience and then kissed deeply before turning to her.

“So baby girl, how would you like to be the filling to our sandwich this time?” Levi said and smiled when her eyes grew big.

“I would so love that.” She whispered and jumped up and wrapped her legs around Levi"s waist and kissed him with vigor. She did not want Reggie to feel like he was left out so she pulled him close and then kissed him when she pulled back from Levi. Gosh, she could not get enough of her men. They stood like that, exploring and nipping at each other mouths for a few moments before she pulled back and leaned far enough back so Levi had to catch her or she would have fallen.

She looked at both of them in the eyes and then smiled, “I love you. Reggie, I love you for the man that you are and Levi, I love you for the man that you have become. I will never love anyone like I love you.”

“I would hope not.” Reggie said and then smiled. “I love both of you too.”

“I love you both so much, but I have to tell you if either of you even looks at another man, you will not be able to sit for a week. Because I may share with you and Reggie, but that is about as far as my willingness goes.” Levi growled and playfully spanked her.

Ruby giggled but became very serious when she looked at her men. Then said, “So, not to break the bubble or anything but you both realize that we are standing here naked and neither of you are doing anything to satisfy me.”

“Brat.” Levi said and then held her with one arm and tugged Reggie"s hand to follow him back to the bedroom. Stopping only to kiss one of them, by the time, they reached the bedroom they were all panting.

Levi stopped for a minute, then looked at Reggie, and said, “Top or bottom.”
