"I think they would all be uncomfortable with it."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that. We should just go with Alex and Grr then. It doesn't bother you, does it?"
"No, of course not. That’ll make me feel better anyways. Two gay guys? That's perfect." He grinned.
"Cool, we should probably ask them, huh?"
"Probably."
"I'm on it." She clambered out of the seat and hopped over the back of another seat, dropping down in between Grr and Alex.
"Hey guys, and don't you dare throw me over the seat again, or tickle me."
They both looked at her innocently.
"Anywho, Coach told me to pick the guys I wanted to room with me and Blaize at the hotel, so mind if I pick you two?"
Grr smiled rakishly and wrapped his arms around her. "I would love to. Maybe we could revisit that kiss we always talk about.” She laughed. "We'll see about that. So how about it? The room thing, that is."
Alex nodded. "Yeah, sure, that sounds good. And don't worry. I'll keep Grr from bothering you."
She cuddled against Grr. "Aw, that's too bad. I guess we're only staying one night, huh?"
"Yep."
"Cool, well, I'll go tell Coach. Grr? Do you mind?"
He released her reluctantly. "I guess."
Once Jaide was released, she went to the front of the bus to let the coach know who she wanted to room with. Then she returned to her seat with Blaize and settled against his chest, intent on following Matt's idea and sleeping for as much of the boring trip as possible.
When they arrived at the Arlington Hotel, Blaize woke her up and they filed off the bus. The coach gathered them all in the empty lobby to talk to them before giving anyone keys.
"Okay, I realize that we are only staying here for one night but I feel the need to lay down some ground rules anyway. I expect you all to be civilized, and no one leaves the hotel grounds without permission. You won't have a need to anyway. Lights out at 11:00. Normally I would say that would be earlier, but I know you guys wouldn't listen anyway. Our game isn't until 11:30 and we will be leaving for the field at 10:30. If anybody's not ready we'll leave them behind. If anyone's room gets a complaint from the hotel, that room will not only owe me ten suicides on Monday but I will cut their game minutes in half for tomorrow. Everything clear?"
"Yes sir," the team replied.
"Okay, good. Now I'm going to assign rooms. Everyone get settled in. We leave for dinner in an hour. We're going to a buffet but please, don't anybody eat themselves into a coma, okay?"
Everyone laughed and Coach started calling names and handing out key cards.
Blaize, Jaide, Alex and Grr got their keycards and headed for their room upstairs. The room was spacious with a small table, an armchair, a long dresser, a TV and two queen beds.
Grr smiled and tossed his duffel bag on a bed. "Ooo, fun, I share a bed with Jaide." He put an arm around her and they fell backwards onto the bed.
Alex dropped down on the bed too, on the other side of Jaide. "How about we make it a Jaide sandwich?"
"Yeah! That sounds like fun."
"To be perfectly honest, I have fantasized about a threesome with two guys before."
"Really?" Grr asked, jokingly.
"Yep, but then I met Blaize and that all disappeared."
Blaize laughed as he came out of the little bathroom area. "Right."
Alex grinned. "So I've heard," he joked, referring to the night they had heard Blaize and Jaide getting sexual in the shower.
"Oh, har, har, har. I wasn't that loud." She rolled over so she could look at him.
"Oh, yes you were."
"You shouldn't have been eavesdropping."
"You shouldn't have been enjoying it so much." He winked.
"Oh shut up, don't be jealous."
"Of course I'm jealous. I want one of these amazing hand jobs from Blaize."
She glanced up at Blaize, who looked horrified.
"Relax Blaize, I'm just kidding. Grr's hand jobs are more than satisfying to me."
"Okay! Time for me to get out from between you two." She jumped off the bed. "So we should like lay some ground rules, too, right?"
Alex nodded. "Yeah, so like no sex okay? Just keep it in your pants until we get back to our own rooms at school, okay?"
"Done. But other than that, just keep it private?" Jaide suggested.
Grr nodded and then grinned. "Yeah, so Blaize? When you're doing Jaide in the shower, keep her quiet will you? ‘Cause I don't really want to hear it you know?"
Blaize nodded and tried to hide his smile. "I'll keep that in mind."
"You guys are just full of it today, aren't you?" Jaide said.
The three of them just smiled at her. They spent the rest of the evening hanging out, teasing each other and watching TV before falling asleep.
It was game day. Jaide rolled over on the bed. It was bigger than the beds back at school but she still stayed close to Blaize when she slept. Her motion seemed to wake Blaize up also. She glanced at the clock. It was 8:30. They should probably be getting up anyways.
"Good morning." She kissed his cheek.
"Hey." He smiled and pulled her closer for a deeper kiss.
When they parted their lips, Jaide got off the bed, intent on a shower. She glanced over at the other bed and froze.
"Ohhh, they are soo adorable." She gazed at the gay couple, admiring their sleeping forms.
Grr and Alex were lying chest to chest, nose to nose and forehead to forehead. They looked so peaceful sleeping like that.
Blaize stood up to see what she was looking at.
"Aren't they cute?" she asked, not taking her eyes off them.
"Surrre." He rolled his eyes and leaned down to slap Alex on the shoulder a couple times. "Wake up!"
"Blaize!" Jaide said, pulling his arm away.
"What? They need to get up, trust me. Grr takes forever to get out of bed."
Alex groaned and rolled onto his back, cracking an eye open. "Hey, time to get up?"
"Yep."
Alex rolled off the bed and Jaide couldn't help but take a good look at his bulky muscles.
Blaize nudged her. "Whatcha staring at?"
"The sexy male form," she said without hesitation, but swung her gaze to Blaize's body. "Shirtless in all its glory."
"Ah, I see." Blaize grinned.
Alex started the little coffee maker on the table, putting in some dark roast.
"Caffeine person?" Jaide asked.
"Nah," Alex rubbed his eyes and jerked a thumb at the still sleeping boy. "Grr is. He can't get out of bed without it, literally."
Blaize grabbed a towel off the sink. "Jaide, I'm gonna hop in the shower."
She glanced over at him. It was an invitation. With a grin, she followed him into the bathroom and they got into the shower quickly. They took their time getting clean, only subtle kisses here and there. It was kind of an unspoken rule that they didn't get too hot and heavy on game day. They liked to stay focused. Once they were clean and refreshed, they exited the bathroom, each wrapped in a towel.
Grr was now sitting up in bed, sipping from a cup of coffee. "Morning," he mumbled before drinking more coffee.
"Not a morning person?" Jaide asked.
"Not even close."
"Hurry up and finish your coffee. We need to get in the shower," Alex said.
Grr grumbled something but did start to drink his coffee faster, draining the cup in ten seconds.
"You guys shower together, too?" Jaide asked.
"Of course. It’s a great way to conserve water."
Grr nodded. "Yeah, Alex is on this, like, green trip. At first I thought it was just an excuse to get me in the shower with him but he's been recycling and riding his bike everywhere, all that stuff."
Alex shrugged. "Yeah, yeah, come on."
"We're probably gonna head down to breakfast, unless you wanted us to wait for you?" Jaide asked.
"Nah, go ahead. We'll see you down there."
Once the other couple was in the shower, Jaide and Blaize got dressed in some casual sweats and T-shirts. There was no point in getting dressed just to change into uniforms once they got to the game. They went downstairs to the breakfast room. Coach was down there already, sitting in the corner, reading a newspaper. Chance and Leith were there also, sitting at a table and munching on various breakfast items.
Jaide waved at Chance and then made a beeline for the food. She picked pancakes, apple slices, yogurt and a small serving of scrambled eggs. Blaize picked waffles, an omelet, an orange and a bagel with jam.
They sat down at the table with Chance and Leith. "Hey guys! How's it going?"
"Good, excited for the game?" Chance asked, putting food into his mouth.
"So excited! We're going to kill them."
"Probably, but it won't be as easy as last time. We’re on their home turf now and their crowd is killer. We are going to need to focus and not let them get into our heads," Leith advised.
Jaide nodded and started cutting up a pancake. "We can do it, I'm not worried. I am looking forward to playing Parker again though. He’s fun, challenging."
All the boys agreed and continued eating breakfast.
The Arlington team was better than when they had played them the first time, but Jaide noticed that her team was a lot better too. Their teamwork and communication were phenomenal and that transferred into points. Bhrade did a damn good job at goalie, blocking all but one shot in the first half and only missing one in the second half, a penalty kick.
The game was pretty intense, guys going down left and right, lots of yelling for passes and crosses. Blaize scored a spectacular goal on a corner kick from Matt and the whole team had been getting into a habit of yelling “textbook!” when someone did something well. Matt grinned and yelled, "textbook!" when the ball hit the back of the net. The team echoed the word and ran around wildly. "Textbook! Textbook! Ah!"
Grr and Blaize were kicking ass up at their forward positions. Blaize got two goals, Grr got two and Matt got one. All the goals were a result of a good assist, usually from Jaide or Leith. Jaide could tell how much better their team had gotten in just the two weeks. All the players got involved in creating great triangles, messing with Arlington's defense and drawing them out of their positions.
The game ended 5-2, Arlington's loss. The losers seemed to be good sports though. They didn't complain much and they all shook hands after the game like normal.
The bus back to the hotel was loud with celebration, everyone spraying everyone else with their water bottles. Blaize and Jaide managed to avoid getting wet by ducking behind the back seat, but took turns throwing water at an unsuspecting player before disappearing again.
Once back at the hotel, everyone got showered and then hung out in the lobby watching football on the big screen. The front desk attendants didn't seem to mind having the entire soccer team in the lobby since they didn't have many other guests. Coach hung out in his room but had scheduled dinner in about an hour, so everyone just relaxed, enjoying the big couches and chatting about the game.
The door to the hotel opened and a casually dressed Parker walked in. No one seemed to mind. Off the field, he was just another guy.
"Hey Parker," Jaide said brightly.
"Hey guys, nice game."
Chance nodded and made room for him on a couch. "You too, your team has definitely improved."
"Yeah, but evidently not enough," Parker said as he sat down.
"Oh well, you don't have the size school that we do. That’s why they created leagues."
"Yeah, I know, doesn't mean I have to like getting my ass kicked," he said with a smile.
"Give yourself some credit. Your defense was good. They kept us from getting too many shots off but your goalie, well, he's not the same guy as the first time we played you, is he? ‘Cause he's pretty weak," Grr said.
Parker ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I know, that's not our starting goalie. Thornton got taken out last weekend. Some dumbass striker didn't stop when Thornton dove on the ball, cracked three of his ribs."
Everyone listening in the lobby winced at the thought of it.
"Damn, when's he gonna be back?" Chance asked.
"He should be back in two more weeks."
"Cool."
"Yeah, anyways. I heard you guys were staying at this hotel, thought I'd stop by."
Blaize laughed. "This is the only hotel in town."
Parker grinned. "True."
Jaide reached for her cell phone to check for a text from Tremaine. She knew he usually texted her after her games. She couldn't find the phone and she didn't have a wallet either. She remembered setting it on the dresser in her room but not picking it back up.
"Crap, I'll be right back guys. I left my cell phone in the room."
"Got a key?" Blaize asked.
"Yep." She pulled it out of her pocket.
"What me to come?"
"Nah, I'll be back in a minute. If I'm not back in half an hour, send a search party okay?" she joked.
Jaide headed for the hallway and jogged upstairs. She reached the room and slid the key card in, unlocking the door. She entered but didn't bother shutting the door when she saw her wallet sitting on the dresser. Her cell phone wasn't on the dresser though, so she went to her bed and started looking through her duffel bag.
The door snapped shut and she looked up, jumping when she saw a body standing in her room.
"Shit!" She shook her head and smiled. "Parker, you scared the crap outta me."
He smiled. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you."
She continued looking through her bag. "What are you doing here? Game boring?"
"Bathroom," he said, and suddenly he was closer, standing next to her.
"Uh ... isn't there a bathroom downstairs?" she asked, a little put off by his brashness.
"Probably. Whatcha lookin' for?"
"My cell phone."
"The one right there on the table?" He pointed to the bedside table, beside the alarm clock.
"Oh yeah, thanks."
She bent over to pick it up and when she straightened Parker had moved right up against her body and breathed on her heavily, alarmingly.
"Uh, Parker? You're kinda close, don’t ya think, boy?”
