Knowing that he had pleased her, he wanted her to

come again. He raised her spent body from him and got up. He took the large fluffy towel and draped it over the couch and laid her down on it. His exquisite frame straddled her body as he stared into her dreamy, dazed, laden eyes. He continued on his way to bring her to another climax.

Savannah
felt his rippled back muscles as she hugged him tightly. Their intensity was exciting and frightening at the same time to her. Never had she been so pleased to the point that she literally wanted to cry from the joy of it.  A small tear escaped from eye as she realized at that point that she really did love Kevin. That thought pleased and terrified her at that moment.

“Oh
Savannah
,” Kevin exclaimed. “You feel so good.” He thrust
one last time,
they both went limp, spent and fulfilled.

Chapter 11

The hour long session that seemed to run for at least three hours in length finally came to a close. The call for auditions for The Blue Horizon commercial had come abruptly and Naomi, completely unprepared, made some last minute arrangements to show up and audition. Since it was a last minute call because the previous candidate had to decline due to a family emergency, the decision was also going to be made immediately.

Naomi sat, waiting patiently as the candidates filed out of the auditorium. A small man, of what looked like Korean decent, came out shortly after.

“We now ready for to make decision,” he said in such broken English, it made Ebonics sound professional.

“Follow me,” he said as he led the long string of women back into the auditorium.

There she sat. Naomi spotted her on the panel of “judges”. She must have come in at the last minute or through a back door somewhere. Or the fact that she was so engrossed in the audition, she hadn’t noticed her sitting there at all. Her face was one that she’d memorized and she would have known it from am mile away.

Her hair pulled back, she could see the exotic ancestral flair that ran strong in her family. Big brown eyes, a nice length of thick hair, and her body was nicely curved. Naomi found herself comparing their features, wondering what it was about her that
he
liked. She knew she looked better and had what it took to keep Kevin. Now, after seeing
Savannah
personally, she wasn’t so sure. She is beautiful, she thought angrily. Or course, she would have to be. If Naomi knew noting else, from studying Kevin, she knew his taste. She watched
Savannah
move gracefully when she walked around to the front of the tables, then spoke.

“Hi, my name is
Savannah
and I am heading up this project. I want to thank you ladies for your eagerness and prompt turnout. I know that this was short notice and we appreciate your attendance and interest in this commercial. We expect this commercial to air in the next three days, so time is of the essence here.”
Savannah
cleared her throat and took a sip of water.

Naomi’s attention was focused only on her, partly due to her wanting to get the spot because she needed the money, and because of her interest in Kevin.

“All of you were exceptional….however, we only need one person. Our decision has been made.”

Naomi was thrilled to have gotten the part. Elated, she sped up to shake each panelist hands and promised that she would put forth her best effort in the commercial. When she came to
Savannah
, she paused. Heat rushed to her hands and she could feel the pressure of the fast flowing blood reach her head, causing her to become somewhat light-headed.

“Uh, excuse me, miss?”

“Call me
Savannah
….and congratulations on getting the part. Luck was on your side today. After slimming down the long list of prospects for this part, you and one other woman were chosen. It was a hard decision, but I think you have the look that we were looking for. You won out by one vote… three to two ….my vote was the deciding factor.”

“Thank you,” Naomi stated flatly, trying to sound excited, but terribly failing. She was distracted by the thought of being in such close proximity to
Savannah
and not being able to speak her mind and be frank about her relationship with Kevin. Now, she had to play it cool because there was a substantial amount of money to be made doing this commercial. Not wanting to blow it, she smiled and said, “So, will I be working with you the next few days?”

“Yes, starting today. We can get started this afternoon…say around 3pm.”
Savannah
looked at her watch. “Listen I have to go for now but I will meet you at the studio.” She handed her a business card. “We have an onsite facility and will be shooting there. See you at 3.”

“Hey babe,”
Savannah
spoke into her cell. She’d just departed from the auditorium and was heading back to work. “I just wanted to say that I had a really good time with you this past weekend.”

“You know I did too,” Kevin replied.

“I also wanted to tell you that I found a replacement for the leading lady part for the commercial. We start shooting this afternoon.”

“Cool! Is she as beautiful as you?” Kevin joked.

“She is actually very pretty. She’s got that diva look going on. So she is a perfect fit for the club setting. I have to admit, she deserves her props.”

“Wow, she’s that nice, huh?” The old Kevin’s interest was piqued. Then he thought better. Why should he be that way when he was perfectly happy with his new love? He quickly dismissed the interest in the actress. It seemed to him that
Savannah
was what he was looking for. She was beautiful, kind, giving, and willing please him, and learn new tricks in bed if need be to keep him happy. What more could he ask for?

At that thought, he knew right then that he’d done the right thing and not spent time with Naomi over the weekend. It was true that he did like her at one time, and absolutely loved the sex and how she pleased him all the time. But that time had been long ago and she just happened to catch him during a phase where he was weak. Now he wanted more. He wanted a real relationship and he knew it would be one with Naomi. He convinced himself that he was weak to her flesh and he didn’t want that anymore. He wanted
Savannah
now and forever.

She was correct. The weekend spent with her and her family was good for him as well. He’d enjoyed himself and her family, especially Big Momma, who was more than cantankerous, but she meant her daughter well. Hell, if he had a daughter, he probably would have been the same if not worse.

“You are giving this woman a lot of credit,” he stated, bringing himself back into the conversation.

“Well, I’m not a hater. The girl is beautiful…wait until you meet her.”

“Ok babe, if you say so…I will be over this evening. How late are you working?” Kevin glanced at his watch. It was around lunch time and he’d considered going to talk to Naomi and try to smooth things out with her. He didn’t call her like he told he would over the weekend. He had no interest in being there with her anymore. So he decided against calling her at that time, opting to call her now and tell her over the phone. He was convinced, now more than ever, that Naomi wasn’t the one for him.

****************************

“So, miss actress,” Richard said as he entered her small apartment. “After we spent the past weekend together, do you want to tell me what is on your mind now?”

“What do you mean?” Naomi asked.

“Well, even though you were here with me in body, your mind was elsewhere the whole time. What’s the matter?”

“Nothing.”  She needed to get rid of him right now and was sorry that she had let him in her place from the beginning. Talking was the last thing that she wanted to do, especially to Richard. She needed quiet time to think about how she was going to handle both
Savannah
and Kevin. Even though she liked Richard, he could never fill Kevin’s spot. Just as
Savannah
could not fill hers, as she would see to shortly.

“Hey, I had a great time and I have no idea what you are talking about right now. I do need to get myself together though. I landed a commercial today and start shooting this afternoon.”

“Congrats!”

“So if you don’t mind –“

“You don’t need to explain… I will catch up with you later, sweetie.” Richard grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her close, then kissed her lightly on the forehead. “I will see you later?” he asked as he was closing the door behind him.

“Sure, you will.” She answered.

Naomi made a dash to the bathroom to freshen up then to her bedroom to grab a couple of changes of clothes.
Savannah
hadn’t mentioned anything to her about wardrobe, but from her experience, taking a change of clothes was always a good idea.  All the while preparing herself for her role, even though it was just a very short role, she was determined to do the best she could but knew that it was going to be hard considering the distracting thought of Kevin laying up with Savannah. How was she going to smile in that woman’s face, knowing all along that she wanted to be rid of her?

She gathered her things and headed for the door, preparing herself for her best role yet.

“The shoot is going very well,”
Savannah
stated as she took a hind seat that allowed her to capture a full view of the same shot the camera man had.

“I have seen that woman somewhere before,” Jazzy said as she took a seat beside her.

“Well, she says she is not from here but has been making her rounds in the circuit. Maybe you’ve seen her photo or something somewhere.”
Savannah
scribbled something on her pad. “She is good isn’t she?”

“Um, yeah, but there is something about her that is rubbing me wrong and I just don’t know what it is…yet.”

“Doesn’t matter. As long as we get this last shot done this evening, she can be as wrong as she wants…just not on my time.”
Savannah
joked.

“And cut!” the director yelled, as the music stopped and the lights brightened.

Naomi smiled and walked towards
Savannah
and Jazzy. “So what do you think?” She asked, taking a seat beside them. Naomi grabbed her purse and flipped her cell open. Kevin still had not called. Irritated, she closed it.

“Something the matter, Naomi?”
Savannah
asked.

“No, I was just waiting on an important phone call from my other half.  I left him a voicemail earlier to let him know that I would be home late and to pick up some carry out since I didn’t cook.” She forced a smile.

“Oh, well…  if you are hungry we can all grab something to eat. I think we are just about ready to wrap things up here tonight.”

Though that wasn’t quite the answer she was fishing for, she responded, “If it isn’t too much.”  She felt a little flush, wiped the invisible sweat from her palms on her pants, and said, “I’d love to.”

“We can grab something at that little pub down the way there and call it a wrap until tomorrow. Also, I could use a drink to mellow me out a bit,”
Savannah
announced as they left.

Jazzy moved closely behind, still uneasy about their following guest.  Jazzy prided herself on being able to read people and was pretty good about it. There was something about this chick that didn’t feel quite right, only she couldn’t put her finger on what it was. “I’m game,” she said.

Adriano’s Pub boasted the best baked, deep fried, and grilled fish in the city…right along with the best jerk chicken one could eat. It had a cozy feel to it, which allowed
Savannah
to really relax and take in the ambiance. She waved the waitress over and said, “Can I get a
Long Island
, please?”
