“Oh no?”

“No. You’re my first overnight guest….” Brice stopped. He hadn’t meant to get onto this topic. Too late now. It wasn’t something he’d wanted to talk to Jeremy about.

“Ever? Were you a virgin before you started fooling around with me? Or just don’t like strangers in your bed?”

“I lived with someone for a long time… but since then, you’re the first.”

“Thank you.” Jeremy snuggled up against Brice and didn’t keep asking questions.

Brice appreciated Jeremy’s unexpected tact and politeness. “Thank
you
.”

They held each other tight until sleep overtook them.

Chapter NINETEEN

through the windows when Jeremy woke up next to Brice, who was still sound asleep, breathing deeply, one arm across Jeremy’s chest. He didn’t want to wake Brice and lay listening to him, feeling his heart beating as the sun warmed the room. The furniture in here was as beautiful as the rest of the flat, like a fancy bed-and-breakfast. No canopy on this bed, so Jeremy examined the coffered ceiling.

The drapes were still open, and even from bed, Jeremy could see out into the bay toward Alcatraz. From another room the Golden Gate Bridge would be visible. He’d get a proper look around later. He let out a sigh as he relived the night before. They’d had a few rough spots and misunderstandings, although the lovely dinner and Brice’s lovemaking had all but eliminated Jeremy’s concerns.

But it was crazy to think coming here meant anything. They still weren’t on any equal footing. They’d gone from the Dinner Club bedroom, where Brice was nominally in charge because he paid for everything, to Brice’s bed, where he had the home field advantage. Jeremy was guest rather than a paid companion, but nothing had really changed. Had Jeremy thought it might?

He wasn’t sure what he’d expected when he’d given Brice the ticket. He wanted them to meet in a neutral location and do something that wasn’t about getting into bed or getting each other off. Or not only about sex. It had been as satisfying as ever with Brice. But was there anything more? Jeremy didn’t want to think about it, much less have a discussion on the topic. He’d been crazy trying to see Brice outside of the club. Tonight they would go back to their regular arrangement, and this would never need to be discussed.

The phone rang and Brice stirred. He grinned at Jeremy and answered the phone. “Myeah?” A pause. “Uh-huh.” Brice kissed Jeremy’s shoulder as he listened.

Jeremy felt self-conscious in the light of day. He didn’t belong in Brice’s real world. He was part of Brice’s secret life. Time to go. He started to sit up.

Brice held Jeremy’s wrist and shook his head.

“Can’t make it this morning. I’m busy. … All day. And tonight. … I can meet for a late lunch tomorrow if it can’t wait till Monday. … Fine. Fine.” Brice pressed his lips together and nodded. “Okay. Bye.” He hung up. “Sorry about that.” Then he leaned down and kissed Jeremy. “Good morning.”

“Good morning. Sounds important. I can get going.”

“Nothing that can’t wait until tomorrow or Monday. My boss is under the impression I don’t have a life outside of work. For a change, he’s wrong.”

Jeremy didn’t reply, but Brice’s comment cheered him.

“I make some decent waffles if you have time to stay for breakfast.”

The intimacy of the invitation touched Jeremy. “I haven’t had homemade waffles in a very long time.”

“Please don’t tell me your mom used to make them for you.”

“I wasn’t exactly thinking of my mom just now, but I’m a little disturbed that you were.” Jeremy grinned.

“Point taken. You have to stay in bed—naked—until the waffles are done. Can you handle that?”

“I suppose so.”

“I’ll get some coffee going.” Brice hopped out of bed, nude and gorgeous even in the harsh morning light. His cock was slightly thick, and Jeremy wouldn’t have minded a little prebreakfast playtime. He watched Brice’s firm ass as he walked out of the room and thought about what might happen later, since Brice had told him to stay undressed.

He heard Brice grinding coffee beans, and a few minutes later, the aroma of fresh-brewing coffee tickled his nose and made his stomach rumble. He hadn’t given a moment’s thought to food since dinner the night before, but now he was ravenous. They had expended a lot of energy, hadn’t they?

Brice’s bare feet on the wooden floor alerted Jeremy to his arrival a moment before he entered.

“What the hell?” He shook his head and stared.

“Today I’ll serve you.” He put a steaming mug of coffee on the night table. “What do you think?” He did a model’s catwalk turn, showing off his outfit: a silk tie, an apron, and apparently nothing else. “Be kind, I only had about two minutes to come up with this.”

Jeremy couldn’t hold back the laughter. “I did say I liked you in a tie.” He grinned, admiring Brice’s round, bare ass. “Two courses, then?”

Brice gave a charmingly cryptic shrug as a reply. “How do you take your coffee?”

“Milk and sugar, please, if it’s not too much trouble.”

Brice pulled a spoon and sugar packets from one pocket in his apron, and a small container of milk from the other.

“Oh, and I thought you were happy to see me,” Jeremy teased.

“But I am, sir.” Brice sat on the edge of the bed and put milk and sugar in Jeremy’s coffee, stirring it the way Jeremy did for him at the Dinner Club.

Jeremy started to sit up against the headboard, and Brice quickly rearranged the pillows behind his back, propping him up.

“Comfortable, sir?”

Jeremy felt his cheeks warm. He felt so out of place here, in Brice’s bed, with Brice serving him. He just nodded and gratefully took the mug when Brice handed it to him. The coffee was incredible. Dark and rich and much more flavorful than the supermarket ground beans he used at home. After a few sips, he felt emboldened.

“So, Brice, what’s on your menu?”

“Just about everything. How can I serve you?” Brice shifted position so he was facing Jeremy. The apron pushed away from his body.

“Oh, really?” Jeremy couldn’t believe he was saying this. He also couldn’t believe the way he slid a hand up Brice’s thigh and noticed the apron push out farther. He liked that. He stroked Brice’s thigh with one hand while drinking coffee with the other, trying to get up the courage to reach for Brice’s now-obvious erection.

“I told you I was glad to see you, sir.” Brice spoke in the soft, flirtatious way the boys at the club did. “Would you like to find out how glad?”

Jeremy’s breath caught in his throat, and he slid his hand all the way up Brice’s thigh until he could grasp his cock. Brice was aroused, but not fully hard. A couple of smooth strokes remedied that. It was nice to see how quickly Brice responded to his touch. Under the sheets, Jeremy was already pretty damn hard too.

From the kitchen came the ding of a timer.

“Waffle time,” Brice said. He moved to stand up, and Jeremy realized he was still holding onto Brice’s cock.

He pulled his hand away, embarrassment washing over him again. “Sorry.”

“Don’t be. I liked that.” A pause. “Sir.” Brice stood, and now the apron was much farther from his body. “Now you get to remove something before I go.”

Jeremy debated. He would like to see Brice just wearing the shimmery necktie. But that wasn’t fair if he was going to be cooking. He put the coffee down and sat up so he could reach up to loosen the tie, wanting to touch Brice’s shoulders and chest as he did so. But he restrained himself, only letting his hands linger on his throat and collarbone. He slid the tie slowly from Brice’s neck and gave in to the sudden desire to kiss one pink nipple.

Brice just stood there, not reciprocating, but the little shudders through his body indicated he liked it. “Thank you, sir.” He made another quick turn around the room, showing off his body, before leaving the room, his tight ass barely bobbing as he moved out of Jeremy’s sight.

“Jesus.” Jeremy lay back against the pillows and tried to calm himself down. It was strange having someone wait on him, Brice letting himself be touched, displaying himself. Jeremy wanted to touch, but he didn’t want to invade Brice’s personal space. They’d spent several nights together, made love and fucked each other senseless, but this was something else entirely.

As his cock throbbed and desire coursed through his body, Jeremy finally understood the attraction of the Dinner Club. The luxury of having your own boy for the evening, to touch and play with practically however you wanted? No wonder men spent so much money to be there. It was a powerful experience and incredibly arousing. Perhaps it was even more exciting to have a total stranger at your complete beck and call.

Jeremy licked his lips and hoped the waffles—and Brice—would be here soon.

watched the last batch of waffles cooking, he thought about Jeremy, waiting for him in bed. He’d felt so self-conscious going in to serve him the coffee, not sure whether Jeremy would appreciate it or feel that Brice was demeaning his role at the club. When he saw Jeremy’s initial embarrassment, he wished he’d never come up with ridiculous idea in the first place. But when Jeremy’s discomfort turned to playfulness and arousal, Brice enjoyed the game. Maybe more than he’d expected. There was an amazing feat of surrender to give someone else liberty with your body. Even more so with a stranger.

Brice pulled the waffles out of the oven, where they had stayed warm and crispy, and plated them before garnishing with sliced berries and whipped cream. He set two plates, silverware, and syrup on a tray and headed for the bedroom.

Jeremy glanced up expectantly as he entered. “Smells fantastic.”

“I hope you like it.” Brice put the tray down next to Jeremy.

“Looks fantastic too. Thank you.”

Brice was about to sit down when Jeremy stopped him.

“I’d like to take that apron off you first.”

The confidence in Jeremy’s tone sent the apron fluttering, reviving his slightly flagging hard-on.

“Yes, sir.” He stood by the bed as Jeremy reached around to untie the strings, fondling his ass and getting him even more revved up. By the time the apron had been tossed away, Brice had an erection to be proud of. Jeremy had that effect on him normally, but now, in their reversed roles, being with him was even more arousing.

“That looks delicious too.” Jeremy wrapped a hand around Brice and squeezed gently before leaning over and licking at the slit. “Mmm.” He took the whole glans into his mouth, and Brice thought the wet heat would make him explode. Jeremy let Brice’s cock slide out of his mouth and grinned up at him. “I’m starving, for more than your cock, at least for now.”

“Yes, sir.” The words came out shaky. Brice hadn’t quite caught his breath yet.

“I’m not sure how we’re going to eat this beautiful meal,” Jeremy said.

“I have a plan.” Brice grinned. He peeled back the sheets, pleased to see Jeremy’s eagerness beneath. Then he straddled Jeremy’s lap, balancing on his knees and lower legs. He scooted forward until his cock dueled with Jeremy’s, their balls squishing together pleasantly. “How’s this?”

The position gave easy access to play with each other during the meal.

“Perfect.”

Brice cut pieces of waffle and fed them to Jeremy, occasionally dropping a piece onto his lap or chest, and he gladly licked away stray splashes of whipped cream and syrup.

“I think you’re dropping things on purpose.” Jeremy shook his head as a glob of cream landed on the head of his cock.

“No, I’m not.” Brice’s voice was muffled as he spoke around Jeremy’s hard-on.

“I’ve had enough. Breakfast was really good.”

“As they say, it gets better.” Brice came up for air before going back down on Jeremy, pleased with the soft whimper his mouth coaxed out of Jeremy.

One sweet, sticky orgasm later, they were both messy from cream, syrup, and Jeremy’s pleasure. They laughed and kissed, rolling around together until they were both breathless.

“Brice, stop.” Jeremy’s voice was suddenly serious.

Brice sat up and looked at him. He had the paleness of someone who’d suffered a fright. “I’m sorry. Did I hurt you?”

Jeremy shook his head and moved to get up. Brice caught him by the shoulders and kneeled next to him on the bed. “What? What’s wrong?”

“This. You’re spoiling me. Last night, this morning, it’s all too… incredible. I don’t want to get used to this. I can’t.”

“Don’t you like being with me this way? Like this?” He swept his hand around the room, comfortable and lived in, unlike the old-fashioned but impersonal luxury of the rooms upstairs at the Dinner Club. Now Brice felt the warmth drain from his face and body. Had he overstepped with Jeremy? He thought they’d been getting along so well.

“I do. I like it more than I should. I can’t get too attached to you.”

“Why? Because you have other clients? Because you need to keep some distance from the clients?” Brice’s tone turned icy.

Jeremy shook his head, blinking. “No. Because I don’t want you to make me think we could ever be more than we are when we’re at the club.”

“Aren’t we already?”

Jeremy glanced up, eyes questioning.

“Jeremy, when I first met you, you filled a void in my life—a physical need—in a fun and exciting way. But the more I spend time with you, especially like last night, where I can talk to you and get to know you, the more I realize you fill up the emptiness in my heart too.”

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Brice kicked himself. What was he saying? The thoughts just popped out, fully formed, without benefit of going through his brain. But he knew they were true. Something about Jeremy was different from anyone he’d met.

“But you don’t know anything about me. How can you say that?”

“Because who we are when we’re not together doesn’t define who we are when we are together. We don’t have ideas and expectations. We are just ourselves. At least I have been.”
