They both stayed there talking about almost every possible thing in this world. They kept looking the ocean waves and beautiful dark sky that was decorated by some million stars. When the sun started to come, they both decided that they should better go back to their home. They didn’t even realize that they spent an entire night simply talking and making some amazing memories with each other.
Before that night, Natasha had a completely different view about Patrick. All of that was changed in a matter of few hours as they explored each other that night. They drove back towards the city area and with a heavy heart decided to say goodbye.
“Can’t you take a leave from work today? I would really appreciate if you could stay with me for the rest of the day,” Patrick said as he parked the car in front of Natasha’s apartment.
“I can stay, but you know I have a lot of work to catch up. Also, Alison would be drunk and I know I have to take care of her work as well,” she smiled while looking at him.
“It’s fine. I understand. We have the rest of our lives to talk and catch up!” Patrick said and walked towards her side of the door. As he opened the door and helped her step out, she looked at him with a doubtful face.
“Do you really mean it, Patrick?” she asked him with a doubtful face.
“What do you mean by that, Natasha?” he asked her as he had no idea what she was referring to.
“I thought that this was it. I mean, it was our one amazing night and now, you would simply drop me like a gentleman and we move on to our separate ways.”
She couldn’t believe her own words, but that was exactly what she thought of Patrick, even after spending such a long and quality time with him.
“I am not like one of those jerks, Natasha who are looking for a fling. You mean a lot to me and even though we have met yesterday, I would like to know you more. I am not letting you go, not that easily.”
He said those beautiful words and kissed her passionately before letting go of her hand.
“When are we meeting next?” he asked her and she crossed the street.
“Uhm. What about tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow it is!” he said and drove back towards his home.
Natasha blushed and entered her apartment, knowing that she has found her one true love and that too in the most unexpected way. As she closed the main door of her flat, she received a text message from Patrick.
“Can’t wait for tomorrow!” she read his text and smiled. She was so glad that she was wrong about Patrick. He was an entirely different person and all the tabloids and media had a different image of him. He was certainly a keeper and Natasha found herself to be fortunate as she had found her one true love in him.
Patrick and Natasha were having a Sunday afternoon brunch, sitting on the same private beach from where they commenced their story. It has been almost two years now since the both of them are together, but it still seems like yesterday when they met each other for the first time.
“Can’t believe it has been two years now,” Natasha said as she opened the picnic basket and took out some peanut butter sandwiches.
“Time flies when I am with you, honey!” Patrick said and made her blush.
“Wait a second, what is it!” Natasha said as he took the brown bread sandwich out of the basket and saw a big solitaire ring that popped out of it.
“This is exactly what you think it is, babe!” he took the ring and placed it exactly where it should belong.
“These last two years of my life were the best and that is only because of you, Natasha. You see me beyond all the materialistic things and adore me for who I am. I feel so blessed to be with you and can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Every day is an adventure with you and I would love to be a part of your journey. Be with me, Natasha. Be with me for the rest of your life. Will you spend the rest of your life with me?” he asked her the big question and poured his heart out with those words.
“I would love to, Patrick. I love you so much,” she said and locked their lips together.
As they closed their eyes, the flashback of the last few years started to flash in front of them. From the night they met to how they made some amazing love on that beach, everything was worth it as it led them to each other. Natasha was so grateful to Alison for taking her along with her that night and introducing her to Patrick, who ended up changing her life. There was no place else where they both would rather be. They found a resting place for their restless souls in each other.
